You aren't kidding there. Well those of us who go. My son is 5'2" and 105 and can dead lift 245 having NEVER done it before. Just walked up in the garage, asked me how to do it with 135 on the bar and just started adding weight, he didn't stop until I made him at 245. It still went up pretty easily but I told him to much for a first time out. So naturally without ever doing it he is dead lifting about 2.4 times his body weight.
The gorgeous wife can dead lift 140 for 5 reps and squat 145 for 5 reps. I think her max bench was 90x5 if I remember. Not bad at 118-122 which is where she normally hangs out.
My other son has just recently told me he is interested in working out so I am going to try to get him started on a program of some sort too.
My 7 year old daughter got excited about the fact we let her hold some 3 lb and then 5 lb hand weights when doing squats as punishment since she was up to like 200 body weight squats. She was like Oh now I can have muscles like you and Mommy! She did 50 squats holding the 5 lb dbs in one shot. Didn't even complain of being sore the next day... She has my genetics too, same structure, legs are tight and tone, already has a diamond to her calves. You can see a line where he shoulders meet her triceps, and where her biceps slope down into her elbow. Of course to my horror she has my bubble butt too. So now I have to fight off even more boys. Gonna have a blonde haired blue eyed Kardashian on my hands... OH NO!

I have a beautiful little 7yr old daughter as well, so I am right there with you! She looks more like her mom, my ex-wife, thank God, she is beautiful! Not really pushing her in the weights arena, I will if she shows interest, but I'm just happy she likes to play soccer and throw the football around and participate in sports! She is definitely rough and tumbly, loves to go camping and play outside, and she plays hard, sometimes I have trouble keeping up, LoL, so hopefully I'm doing it right by not letting her become a little prissy girly..girl! I too worry about the boy-loving stage, not going to be happy when I hear how cute a certain boy is, or when she is asking to go on her first date, etc. etc. Every little girl's Father's worst nightmare!!!

Oh my daughter is already in love with Justin Beiber. Forget about it... She came home with a sign she colored the other day that said Kiss Me Justin!!! and another that said I Love you Justin Beiber!!!! At least it isn't a kid that is around here, just a celebrity crush. At my old fighting school there was a bantam weight champ that also worked at the after school program, and she had a huge crush on him. She is a major little crush-a-holic. I am okay with that so long as she develops morals and has a high enough self esteem not to allow the boys to manipulate her. We put her in karate so that at least we know she will be the one who decides what happens to her body. So the rest is just teaching her self respect and what those good decisions are.
SOunds like you are doing great on the Dad side of things. I don't know if there is a rignt or a wrong. My daughter is into mostly girly things but also wants to do the weights. I never introduced her to weights and won't let her do anything but hold the 5s while she is squatting really but I see her grab the 3 lbs doing curls and stuff sometimes. Nothing that will hurt her, and I don't discourage it. There is nothing to the belief that lifting weights stunt growth as once believed. It is a hormonal change that hardens the platelets up in the ends of the bones not weight bearing exercise as once believed. As a matter of fact the stress to the bones and plates from a child running and jumping is greater than they generate by any weight they could lift at that age.

He is 17, he is that small because he has a Growth Hormone disorder. I told him with lifts like that he needed to approach his coach and see if he could get in on training for a powerlifting deal. At his weight with natural strength he may be able to get on a team or something do some competitions.

I am 37yrs old with a 7yr old daughter and I would not change having my beautiful little girl for anything, but I can tell you this much, she is going to AGE the $hit out of me when she hits her teens! I will never stop worrying about her!

Thank you for that... But you are so right, if more people took responsibility for their own actions and for their children's actions instead of pointing the finger in the other direction! I am sure most of you can agree it is getting ridiculous out there, I mean back in my day (I'm 37) the teacher was right, there was no disrespecting my teachers, if I got in trouble in school, I was in twice as much trouble at home! It is the teachers job to teach our children in school, not raise them for us, that needs to be done at home and only supported in the classroom! I mean am I right? :soapbox: I'll step down from my SOAP BOX now, LoL!

Day 17 Upper Body and responses
Okay, I need to do a 2 week review and it is a little late but nevertheless... So this is just going to have my workout and not too many comments so I can start writing the quick review.
Bench - 135, 155, 185, 185x11 - Up 5 lbs, and up 1 extra reps on second set even with new 5 lb increase, also warmed up with 135 instead of 115.
Chin Grip Pull Down - 90, 120, 150, 155 - 155 5 lb increase was very hard will do it first work set next time.
Military Press - 65, 110, 110x8 5 lb increase on first set felt great but second set I lost 2 reps - Until I make my incremental weights I will stick here and let second set reps go up a little.
EZ Bar Curl - 90x13 +1 rep from last time.
Dips - BW +55
L-Fly - 12.5, 12.5
We do seem to have an excellent group of guys here. I won't get on about dead beats. I think how I just refrred to them puts my opinion out there enough.

2 Week Review
So we are officially into day 18 of this bad boy if my calculations are right. However my first workout once I started it was on a Saturday and so were the pics I took so Saturday was the day I decided to take some pics for the review and to summarize the week. Rather than going on a long winded diatribe that encompasses all of the experience I will just put some factors down. Then post my pics and stats at the bottom.
Aggression / Alpha Male - I found myself a little more aggressive this week. Not much just I have a peeve with people walking and taking up an entire sidewalk or tunnel area. You know the guys I am talking about right? They walk 3-4 across on a side walk and don't want to step over to make room when you walk towards them. Yeah well if the aggression were a tiny bit higher you would hear that I had shoved some heads up some asses. However it is controllable so I only get to think creatively in my head how nice it would be to disembowel these idiots. TOO MUCH??? No really I have noticed these guys agging me more than normal and hoping one of them would decide not to move or say something stupid. LOL Not typical of me to hope someone gives me a reason. Also not so strong that if they did I wouldn't be able to remember I have a family at home that doesn't want to see me in orange jumpsuit for bitch slapping someone.
Appetite - I would say I have noticed some appetite increase it is gradual though not a rush of hunger.
Recomp - This has been SICK!!! My diet is awesome with recomp as well but the recent addition of LBM while leaning out is proof of the progrestin for sure!!!!
Strength - I would not call this a strength compound. I would say that the increase in strength comes from and is directly proportionate to the muscle it is adding. Instead of making the current muscle perform by having greater strength output it just adds muscle and strength increases with the new muscle.
Libido - I have had some fun in the libido area this past week. Was a definite jump however it seems it is erradic for me. I won't be thinking of sex at all for most of the day then be very horny for a while then not at all again. Not like sitting around thinking about it all day. Just major surges. Sexual performance seems up though.
Sides - Although minimal, I do have yellow urine if I slow down on my water at all. Also I noticed my testicles don't seem as full. Not a huge difference but still a difference worth mentioning.
Okay so now on the recomp and what not I am just going to let the stats and picture show the effects instead of trying to describe it all. Now keep in mind that I was 198-199 at the start but did not do a BF reading until or accurate weigh in 4 days after starting.
5-12-11 Between 198 and 199 could not get a good scale reading
5-16-11 199.5 Body Fat 9.5, LBM 180.5 lbs, Fat 19 lbs
5-28-11 200 Body Fat 8.4 LBM 183.2 lbs, Fat 16.8 lbs
Changes in last 12 days - 2.7 increase in LBM and 2.2 lbs of fat lost!

Thanks Rosie! I try to keep my logs detailed and as much an open forum as possible at the same time so it can go in a lot of directions. With everyones input I hope we all learn. I know I do.
The progestin has treated me well so far. Combined with the intermittent fasting it really is doing an amazing job adding lbm. I knew I was getting tighter but was really impressed with the differences.
LMAO! Thanks AZ! For sure the combination of the two has really set the bar regarding a recomp strategy. However gaining muscle at 1.5 a week and dropping 1.1 lb of fat a week in 2 more weeks I could be ridiculous if I stay my course. Crazy thing is remember I didn't do as much cardio this past 2 weeks. I think a rear double biceps can tell you a lot about your physique and I was happy with where mine is. It is better than I expected, I can see the Christmas Tree coming in a little which I was happy about. That and I placed the tattoo exactly where I wanted for it to line up and compliment the muscle. I can't wait to be shredded and see how that thing looks.
