Everybody looks great, I would have to say my honest opinion this week is Transformation is between Al and I. Doug may have done really well but it is hard to see from the pics this time. Definite improvement and peaks are insane but the quality of the pics hide some of the cuts. LTL looks great but his illness slowed his progress. I think Al and I are both much leaner than when we started and on top of that I am MUCH BIGGER!!! I put a comparison of the beginning pic and this weeks in my thread and the difference is pretty amazing.

Doug, I am actually not worn out yet. I might be by the end of this run but unless competing in a show I can't see myself needing to go all out for another 4 weeks. I may very well keep dieting down but the intensity will be lower. Hopefully I hit the point the fat is gone under my chest that is really my only goal as far as cutting up goes this time around.

I will be sitting out on any more challenges for a while after this one. I think my next thing after this is over is I am going to incorporate Carb Back Loading into the IF framework and see how it goes there. I can't really experiment with that in a competition mode since I don't have any idea how I will respond to it. Hoping for a little recomp action with adding in more carbs after dieting. Either way I will be watching that from the side lines.


SO IS ANYONE GOING TO VOTE ON THESE PICS? Is it just us competitors in here now?

You all have came a long way for sure. kleen your a ****in Beast man I'm 6 ft 250 pounds and don't look Damn near as good as you. Would love to do a strength challenge tho.

LTL your my fuggin boy!!! Your transformation is by far the best. You look completely diff. I look up to you for that. Keep it UP!

Man you missed out I think it was last year I was hosting some lift challenges here. We would pick an exercise and everyone agreed upon the form to be used and what not then we competed. Was an honor system thing but it kept a lot of us motivated and spurred a lot of PR's.

There was an OH Triceps Ext challenge, a Dead Lift challenge, something else I can't remember right now but we all would do it for a month or two and make it into a little competition comparing body weight to weight lifted ratio to even things out a bit.

If you want to do something like that set up a thread for it with how you would want it to be governed and then do what I did and post a link in everyone you knows thread inviting them to join in or come and follow along. Before you know it you will have 20 guys in the thread 10 of whom you may have never heard of before but saw the invite and joined in.

Thanks bro! The competition definitely stepped up there game while I was ill though no doubt about it!

Kleen for physique. He's just out in front but he has been this whole contest. He's a freak! Lol Scottydoc gets my transformation vote. Looking good al. Might have to copy some of your techniques for my spring cut.

Thank you, and I do like my physique, don't get me wrong, but Kleen's physique (legs especially) is superior to mine, to me physique should be judged on symmetry, and he is extremely symmetrical!

Thanks Superfly! I am hoping to etch myself up into a Transformation spot. I have a bit harder job of the Transformation part since I was already pretty big. Even though my abs were barely visible at all and everything was soft I started off somewhat impressive from my size and symmetry. When my final pics are put next to my first though you guys will be impressed that is all I can tell you for sure. Pics last night have me maybe 6 maybe 8 weeks out from competition shape if that. Could probably keep my current pace and be ready in 4.

Yah safe .... don't know if I am doing that with my nose to the grindstone the way it is....

I think you are intelligent enough to keep it safe but driven enough to make it look unsafe in the process.


Here is a little part of my log entry from today. When my wife is in awe that means sh!t is getting real.

"So, Cool story from last night. Well very cool to me anyway. As I mentioned yesterday that it was a carb up day. I kept carbs low all day long and then at about 6:30 I started taking in carbs working my way up to about 300 grams. Well I was about 2/3rds of the way through my carbohydrate mayhem and was getting crazy vascular by 7:30. I was looking at myself in the mirror just standing there and the cuts in my abs just looked sick! My wife rounded the corner into the kitchen and looked at me for a few seconds like she was studying me. Out of nowhere she says "You need to go take a picture right now. You need to take a picture of how you look right now!" She was obviously excited and impressed with how I looked. She does compliment me, and lets me know she likes the way I look, but this reaction was kind of out of character for her. It was like the change from depleted an hour earlier, to filling up and getting vascular was shocking to her.

Well I took pictures in the computer room where the lighting is typically pretty good for pics and I have to say that I was just looking awesome. The cuts on my abs especially at the top 4 where the skin is tighter was ridiculous. They looked like they were just bulging off of my abdomen and the valleys between them were both deep and etched into me. There were no shadow games, no questions about if that was a shadow or a deep cut between the abs. If the progress keeps coming at this pace, well I will just look crazy by the 25th."

NICE! I can't wait to hear about it. By the way Doug don't be to frustrated with how much attention your log has. Mine goes up and down quite a bit too. There have been periods where it was only me or felt that way. Of course I have not been as detailed about what I am doing as always. This is because I have been relatively relaxed with this entire process up until now. Intermittent Fasting has made it so easy to get my results without counting each and every calorie. I want to lean up I just tighten up what i am eating, keep an estimated tally of grams of everything I eat and just go with it. Even now this past 2 weeks I am doing the exact same thing. I just tightened it up even more by changing my macros and lowering my caloric target ranges.

It's just easier for me if I keep track but that doesn't mean what I plan is written is stone, I will add and take away based on how I feel... anabolism or the lack there of can be determined largely by appetite. It's ok to go a little bit hungry while cutting but if you're ravenous it's time to eat something...

I don't know I get ravenous the morning after a carb up quite often. My ravenous hunger really only comes after I have had a big carb feeding. I fast 18-22 hours on my burn days and don't get ravenously hungry, but once my insulin kicks up the next day or even a few hours later I get ravenously hungry due to the lower blood sugar levels.

I don't get that, at all.. it's only when I have a lot of low cal days or sometimes on workout days later in the day.
