I really doubt its a trigger point from what you said happened. Massaging and putting alot of movement/compression on it may exaccerbate the injury (which sounds like acute trauma) if its a muscle strain.

Now for trigger points (anomolous cross threading of muscle fibers) the info provided would be spot on..

I personally would REST it as much as possible
 
Update... Had to skip the gym last night. No way im hitting deads with my leg still tight like it is. so i figure i rest up today and hit it hard tomorrow. i ended up going home a couple hours early and just laid my ass in bed lol... i have an adjustable base so i was able to prop my **** up and just watch movies lol....Its not nearly as bad today but still hurts to put weight on it or bend it quickly.. Massaged it with some household items, didnt have a way to go get the foam roller supplies last night, but probably going to get them today.

Dudes I think Im onto a cure for my appetite depression from the deca on week 3&4. Paracetamol! I did a little reading on it too, small doses can increase appetite. Sweet!

I had a headache and had to take some effervescent paracetamol, I got so hugry shortly aftrers it HURT:firedevil:. It couldnt have been anything else but the paracetamol.

On another AM thread youl see me suggesting Diazepam to help with appetite, but I read further into it and I see that diazepam ruins your memory, so I wont be doing that myself, but small doses of paracetamol, hell yeah! :sasmokin:

If you are gonna do deads go at em a little easy man. No use in reaggravating it and maybe making it into a worse injury.

oh, you eat like a pig on thanks giving ha LOLOLOLOL. Same as christmass then. I eat till the foods coming out of my eyeballs, my family can cook michelin standard, weve all had experience in catering and at christmass time we make it extra special :food:

Take care with that led SC, you dont want to make a repetitive strain out of it today. If I were you Id give legs a miss for a while, and yeah stick with BB rows and heavy shrugs and wrap that leg up.

So I'm pretty sure I have either a level 3 strain in my rectus femoris or I f**ked it up royally pinning to high then having a monster workout, etc. Its still to early to tell.. I think. Its getting better but yesterday I was doing BB rows and I said "well this is only 185 lemme see if I can pull it off the ground." Bad idea. As I would normally just launch the weight off, I felt my quad shaking, my left leg was feeling weak. So I didn't pull it.

Its swollen to where it looks different then the other quad, but no wide spread bruising, and the swelling is mostly BELOW where it hurts. I dunno. Also as of now I dont have insurance (until January) so there's not really a possibility of going to a doctor right now. Plus I have pin marks lol... What the **** would I tell the doc? "Is it a tear or did I hit a nerve pinning?" LMAO...

Im pretty pissed and I took it out on the weight last night. Back day.. Not my usual but I had to release some of this anger and frustration.

Now these were a bit difficult last night because I didnt lock my legs in under the rollers, just to avoid putting pressure on my thigh, so I did the best I could to plant my weight and no get jerked up too much lol... Unfortunately because I can't afford medical attention right now I'm going to be taking a 2 week break from legs. So no legs this monday, no legs the following monday. I don't care about losing strength for a bit I'd rather do that then re injure or make recovery harder then it has to be. It sucks, as I feel my squat was just about to go way up... And I wont be doing deads for that period of time either.

Injuries are a mf...

Im a big boy bro... Came off a bit and hammered them suckers down. Plus i had my homie makin me hold the last two on every set and doing like a 10 second negative. Brutal... LOL

Note - we have a bowflex that hardly gets used lol... and it has the leg piece attachment.. Well I don't know why I didnt think of it but my girl pulled off the rollers on the leg extension piece and it worked as a foam roller. She rolled down my quad exactly where it hurts and it hurt so bad I was like biting down on a hard piece of plastic lol.

But I will say i think i had some scar tissue forming and she knocked it loose. And the pain is more accute now, less swelling, and so I think it may have been the trigger point combined with a nerve that got hit pinning. Im getting some longer pins so I can alternate and hit my glutes. I don't feel comfortable using a 1" because i dont know if im lean enough (or in fact im SURE lol) and even if I was it'd freak me out thinkning that the whole pin is in there and might snap off. I know thats happened to people before and ugghhh...

But i been pinning my delts and now I can hit the three different heads on three different days and they hold the oil pretty well. Not too much tightness, hardly any swelling (like spot injection swelling)..

I also got my leg wrapped with ice and compressed. Kept it up all night. And relaxing now. Can't wait to kill some chest and back next week. And I'll hit calfs if it doesnt bother my quad.

Weight is at 240... Im 21 lbs down from the beginning, and I swear i been putting on a bit of muscle in my traps and chest but maybe its just from leaning out it looks bigger. Im happy with everything but how f**king weak my biceps are... lol
 
oh they can bro lol.. It's the only part of my body that feels as if its not tightening up. Which means there's not that much muscle under there lol. And my double bicep pose is weak lol. Lat spread is good, quads are decent, front chest side chest all happy with. Not double bis tho lol

when i go on my next bulk im killing them. they will grow. oh they will grow... lol
 
Biceps are def my weak point as well. So, yours can't be as weak as mine.. :sad3:

sounds good brah.. i do half reps for bis.. start at about 45 degrees elbow flexion and contract- helps make the peak bigger because your in a more advantageous position with the muscle fibers at their strongest contracting point. Of course not all my bi's exercises are done this way, just half of them such as preachers and bicep machine.

dude sometimes you can be stressed out and have too much **** going on to even think about it. like i know even with high test levels i could be so stressed from a rough day and the last thing i think of is sex but hell we own our house, my girl walks by in her panties and im like HELLO! lol....

but i mean if she's tired and sh1t and im tired as hell too its just not gonna happen.. now that hasn't been happening much i have been smashing like its my job but im just saying...

yes john im hot all the time but you know i really havent had an issue with night sweats due to the fact that i think its because i pin ed and its the winter, both a plus for what im doing now.... next post is my chest workout. im gonna hit shoulders separately this week so i can hit em hard lol
