Well now it is because I didn't sleep at the sleep study. Just screwed with my sleep schedule. Slept a hell of a lot last night/today. Still no idea about what they learned during my sleep study.

Haha it is the most uncomfortable way to try and sleep. Hooked up to so many wires and crap. I felt like if I moved I would pull them off.

I honestly used to get drunk as hell a while back. It was bad because I would wake up and think did I really just do that? I am pretty sure I know when I decided I was going out to clubs and drinking too much. That night could have ended very badly for young Tomahawk.

Edit: Doesnt look like I will being a 2 a day today. Just been feeling off lately. Maybe that woman got to me more than I thought. Ehh Idk I just need to get back to the iron.
 
Damn good chest workout today. Did some calves to finish it off.

On incline went up to 255 I believe. Didnt seem to slow down all that much.

315 on flat felt easy. That bar was still moving fast. Next week will be maxing on this. Thinking 355 or so.

Decline BB 2 sets of 225 then did decline hammer instead. Felt better on my joints. Bodybuilder said he was going to steal this exercise for his next chest day lol.

3 sets of pec deck.

Chest stretch

Calf workout from hell. They got tore up today. I was shaking like hell.

This was a damn good workout. Felt real strong on chest and calves look like they are growing. Weight was 250 still which kind of shocked me honestly.

Went and got some chinese food post workout. Some awesome thin rice noodles with extra beef. Then picked up Dead Island next door.

Ehh I slept quite a bit last night, but woke up feeling pretty blah. Just not feeling like quality sleep. Sleeping 8 plus hours should make me feel awesome and it is not.

Lol so where exactly do you live bro lol. It really is quite frustrating. I try sleeping all sorts of different positions. It wrecks havoc on my right shoulder when I sleep on my stomach.

But ya 315 felt super light today. The bar didnt seem to slow down really. 315 is 85% of 370. Debating if I want to try 365(PR) next week as a max. Or what I could do is 355 and if I get it jump up to 375(which would be a PR).

I might pop a few. My problem as of late is actually falling asleep.

Just got home a bit ago from doing back sans deadlift.

Weighted pull ups: Felt so damn heavy lol PLUS 25

Bent over rows really felt my lower back might need to up taurine. 285

Narrow lat pull downs really felt these. 220?

Iso rows real good pull on these 3 45 and a 25 on each side

Seated wide cable rows 250 plus machine pull overs 180 total I think

I left the gym covered in sweat. This solo workout is giving me a lot of promise for when I have to go back to lifting by myself. Tried a somewhat scripted workout but more of just a guideline with my own idea of how I like it. When I follow the program it will be to the T though.

I will say this training style will get me a lot of stares. Had one guy already say something to me today. Talking about the stress I am putting on my body basically. Which is kind of funny since this is supposed to be easier on the joints and what not. Plus the fact I have lifted 675 pounds and twisted side to side :thinking:
 
Honestly, on the sleep issue, are you feeling higher levels of stress? I have some stuff going on and am preparing for testing for school admission, and I can honestly say that my sleep has gone to **** at a very proportional level.

Ya there is a bit of stress right now. It cant really be resolved right now, but I have a feeling stress might be at an all time high when it is. That said I have had insomnia issues for a while. Sleep quality is a concern though. The idea of staying up all night seems impossible to me, I would just pass out. Which obviously staying up all night isnt ideal, but I think it speaks to the fact I am not getting quality sleep.

I am starting to wonder if this kind of workout might be bad for my sleep. Because honestly I still feel pretty amped up. My usual workouts are extremely taxing on the CNS.

Sidenote: you can chalk up a lot of what I say as me talking out of my ass lol.

That said I am almost looking forward to my workout partner leaving. He is a good friend and great workout partner, but I dont see him tagging along for the kind of workout routine I plan on trying. He has been really receptive to new training ideas, but I plan on following this routine strictly. Pretty much giving up thinking and just doing.

Also got a little excited when I hopped in the shower tonight lol. Liking the changes I see. Thinking in the future might even consider pictures. That woman had pestered me about progress pics. Which honestly made me want to do them less. Now I can of want to do them as a FU to people.
 
Yeah man I think progress pictures are a good idea. I mean even if you don't want to post them in a log, they are still good for your own progress.
 
Killed some legs today.

Went stupid heavy on leg press and did strip set with it. Ended up being like 7 sets of pure agony.

Then did squats where the weight is around your waist. Real powerful reps here. Burned the quads down.

Romanian deadlifts nothing crazy but felt good.

I am really seeing a change in my calves. Think this calf workout is great. Hurts like hell though.

Ya it was fun tonight. Didnt play for money though. Which of course means I kicked ass lol.

Legs got real sore. Locking up a bit on me. The leg press seemed to hit around my knee a lot. Really didnt like that feeling, but my quads seem like they were hit plenty.

Going to do shoulders tomorrow. Probably earlyish again around 4pm. Then on Saturday probably some cardio but arms for sure. Then going out to eat with the family for my dad's birthday. Will be killing some Korean food :D Then maybe kill some zombies lol.

Woke up and my right shoulder is bothering me. Need to get a new pillow. I keep sleeping on my stomach which is killing my right shoulder.
 
What's the difference between that and just your normal box squats?
 
i like that video and those squats...now i have something new to add :) spinc class killed me today,,lol but im ok..:)

Well not too many places seem to have the machine for it. But I have also seen videos of people using dip belts and just attaching weights. They have to stand on steps to have a gap in the middle though. Also seen people have a bar attached between their legs. That looks like it requires a bit of balancing.

I would say so. I am already proclaiming I am going to bench 365 next week. Plus getting greedy and thinking 405 might be possible. Right now I am keeping up with Ben on lifts he is usually stronger than me on. Like today on military press I was using almost as much weight.

Military press: went up to 215 for 3 reps bar was still moving quick

Rear delt flyes with cables

Arnold press: up to 55s

Face pulls

Barbell front raise

Overhead flyes

Shrugs

I'm going to implement my own "belt-squat machine". I have a tree-climbing harness that I can pad with a towel wrapped around it. Then I can hook a chain to the cable-end of my seated cable row station and perform those "belt-squats". Gonna try some this morning........I'll get back to you on it later.

Haha ya my gym owner is awesome. He has even more awesome stuff in the back. Hopefully one day I will see what is back there. I know he has a huge tractor tire out back. Plus some rubber weights and 100 pound plates.

Well if you are ever in middle GA let me know. My gym is pretty cool about people coming in. No person at the door and the owner is awesome. Ehh I wouldnt piss her off to test her running ability lol.

Stepping on the scale with everything on during my workouts I am 250. I am hoping to get 365 on bench and do 655 on deadlift this upcoming week.

Well, it went smoothly. Great feel to them. I worked up to 315 X 8 reps with that apparatus modification. And I didn't use a box either. I went free-style like that awesome chick in the video.
This was after some Machine Squats where I worked up to 505 X 8 reps. I was feeling my divinity shining through!!
 
Alright some updating to do.

Saturday went to the gym and did arms to make up for the missed day. Felt real good and had a great pump. Seemed to really hit my triceps well. Biceps got hit pretty good but I feel like triceps were worked harder that workout. Not a bad bicep pump or anything. Did use 60s for DB curls for 9 reps though. Which isnt bad for my weak little biceps. I had a hard time washing the back of my hair in the shower after my workout. My triceps were that damn pumped lol.

Sunday was a rest day. Basically spent the day playing Dead Island over at Ben's. After we figured out how to link the xbox 360s lol.

Today went and hit back. Went for 655 but couldnt quite get it. I honestly felt like I was farther off than I looked in the video. Just felt like I had a longer way to go to finish the lift. So I might try again next week. Need to find a good way to ramp up my weights for a deadlift max. I think 645 would have gone up pretty easy. The weight moved off the floor fast. Had a great back workout and it filled up with good blood nicely. Felt nice and strong on all my lifts. Then after back we did the calf workout. Really destroyed calves today. By the time I walked out the gym it didnt even feel like I worked out my back. It seemed to recover... Damn I love being on cycle lol. Like right now my calves dont feel particularly sore.

Nice update, still here to follow. at 5'7 245 u are a beast dude. Ur deads will keep going up i wouldnt worry about it. There are many factors that go into the day, and for all we know you could hit 675 next week if ur feeling great. Keep hitting it hard and eating like a beast. Good stuff

I am actually probably a little closer to 250 now lol. Ya I am not too worry about my deadlift. It is one of my stronger lifts. Would have been cool to get that much weight up again. Honestly been eating a little too dirty the last few days. Monday was my dad's birthday so we went out to eat for his birthday. Plus I might have had some cake. Think I am done with my dirty eating though. I do need to get some more good food to eat though.

I am thinking bench should go well today.

Today was kind of an example of how having a lifting a workout partner can hinder your workout.

nice log. any pro/cons on this stuff?

Pros: Lots of strength and mass. Looks like a lot of solid weight because I am recomping a bit. Super pumps in the gym and insane muscle recovery.

Cons: It is a pain to put on any transdermal even if it does dry fast. Plain and simple just sucks to take the time. That said it doesnt take long to dry and it doesnt feel like you have a layer of goop on you. It does tend to burn a little bit but nothing major.

Side notes: I think my libido would be in the dumps if it wasnt for some of the stuff I am taking. So if one decides to take this stack be prepared to be shut down. Right now libido hasnt been a problem.

Oh ya and taking today off from arms. The elbows are making a lot of noise. Might do arms on Saturday.
