Made it to hour 57 of my fast! About to leave work and go home and play some black ops! Then I'll sleep in tomorrow and have breakfast when I wake up. Yellow thunder has helped fight this day pretty well. After breakfast I will take my other yellow thunder and will see how it treats me.

yea with the triangle you always want to make sure your calf is across the guys neck, rather than down his back. you can even grab your shin and pull on it to get it perpendicular to the guys neck. if someone is stacking my triangle ill even grab the shin and open for 1 second and re-close across the neck. also concentrate on thrusting the hips up when pulling the head down for the finish. i got tons of triangle tips thats my go to move

Thanks for the tips Anton, I think subweevil problem is the same as mine, shirt legs with tight hips and hamstrings. It's a little harder for us to close it.
 
give it 6 hours, if you stay active enough it should wear off and make you tired enough to sleep. it's a solid stim-1 was enough for me to feel it, and i have a HIGH tolerance.

I had no problem falling asleep. I actually ended up wanting to stay up late so I could sleep in the following day, it is easier to fast when your asleep :)

I am gonna take the other yellow thunder today after breakfast so I can better gauge how it effects me.

Great log buddy as always!! As for the short legs, I'm actually pretty well proportioned, it's just the tight hips and flexors. I've found that threatening with a triangle is a great way to get someone to posture up, one of the defenses, most of the time neglecting their arms/arm, which sets up the arm bar. Doesn't help that I'm only like 5'10" either, except for lower center of gravity. Good updates on the Yellow Thunder, I appreciate it. Awesome job on the fast, when I do that I tend to sleep more as well, also when I'm on a cut, keeps me from eating and being cranky,lol.

There are a couple different reasons to the madness. First and foremost for the general health benefits from fasting. I usually try and fast at least once a month (at one point I was doing a 24hr fast every week) and I haven't fasted in the past 3 months because I was doing a pulse with havoc and I didn't think it would have been wise to fast during the cycle. So that is part of the reason I choose to do a 3 day fast. Also I figured it would be good to cleanse my body before I start my new diet. Cleanse all the toxins out of my body (haven't been eating as well as I would have liked to) and also prime my body so I will feel the most from these supplements and get the most from them ( it's also been a while since I have taken creatine mono too) Another reason is a 3 day fast usually induces ketosis and I wanted to do a little experiment, fast for 3 days and check if I have ketones in my urine on the third day than take a nutrient partionear, eat carbs and then check if I still have ketones the next time I pee. Not sure if this made sense or not but I like to experiment.

Interesting. I like the idea, and the basis for it. I've only done 24 hours, might have try a longer go of it, assuming I could sleep for a bunch of it.

Oh sorry I misunderstood you than. I have short legs though. There is a sneaky little lock I learned the other day when they stack up on you and leave there arm on your chest. I think I am about 5'10 as well too! We really got to get together some time and roll around. There is an grappling event in central PA coming up (2/19) and I was thinking about attending but my wife is due on 2/20 sooooo I dont know. Maybe if she has the baby ALOT sooner like tomorrow but I dont think I will be there. Nice to hear someone else believes in fasting too. Reps to you bro!!!

Dont know if you have seen anything like it before but it is some pretty good info on activation, SMF, etc. I would really like to be able to go to a ART place but never really put forth the effort to find a place around here.

I actually posed the question a while back as to whether or not eating carbs with a nutrition partitioner would bring your body out of ketosis. No one had an answer for me so Im really looking forward to this result.

I did have a slight fear of my body going catabolic and breaking down muscles and thought about sipping some xtend during but decided not too. I figured whatever I lost I would gain back quick with the CN and test v2!! I did pee on a keto stick this morning and it said I had "moderate" amounts of ketones in my urine so I least my body did go into ketosis so hopefully most of the weight I lost was from fat and water and not much muscle

As for the t-v2.. HELLS YEA I am starting it at 4/4 per your suggestion! I got two bottles of it.. not sure how ling it will last at 4/4 but I am gonna give it a shot!

Hey I just got an idea.. I have some bottles of 6-bromo here that I got when NP was getting rid of their supply and havent really had anything planned for them. Think it will be a good idea to run alongside of t-v2 as a AI? or just save it for another stack later on.. I was about to shoot JD a pm and see if he would ok it but still havent decided on if I should even consider it or not yet

Training

So I have been doing 5/3/1 with great sucess but I am now going to drift away from that for a little bit. With more free time available to me now and since I am starting BJJ and Judo back up more often I am going to make my training a little different then your typical bodybuilder type routine. My training is going to be more focused on movements rather than individual muscles.

Along with the typical conventional exercises I will be doing alot of unconventional training. There will most likely be a lot of exercises that you guys never heard of and if so just ask I am more than happy to explain it either through words, pictures, or short videos.

Diet:

The diet will be ruled by these 3 main principles:
●Calorie control
●Maintaining stable insulin levels
●Eating food that will give my food the the most nutrients and are high quality food.

I am not really shooting for a specific amount of calories but I will be tracking what I eat.

In general I will be attempting to:
●Eat at MAX 2 servings of fruit a day
●Eat at LEAST 3 servings of veggies
●Get 42-49g protein and 20g of fat with each meal
●Eat 60g of starchy carbs only post workout

Supplements

First and foremost the APS stack

●Creatine Nitrate - 4 caps pre and 4 caps post workout
●Testatrophin V-2 - 4 caps twice a day
●Mesomorph - 1 scoop till I asses my tolerance
●Nitrozine - 6 caps pre workout

And the rest

●Scivation Xtend - to be taken intra workout and also will be taken during gpp, grappling, and cardio sessions
●NPs Bulk EGCG - 325mg taken 4 times a day
●A mix of Nutra's NaRALA & yellow gold with some Cassia Cinnamon - for pre post workout carb meals
●NP's Cissus Quadrangularis - 2.4g to be taken 3 times a day

•I also am going to be experimenting with a stack of Policosanol (25mg), Alpha-lipoic acid (300mg), and Garlic extract (200mg). I got the suggestion from a book I have been reading (4 hr body) It will be taken pre meals except for the Policosanol which 25mg will be taken pre bed only.

Also I will be taking basics like multivitamin, greens and berry mix, probiotic, fish oil & CLA

DAY 1 BITCHES!!!!!


I have 5 caps of Anabolic pump and I like to do the "Fasted training protocol" with them so i will for the next 5 workouts. Here is the outline of that protocol for today and it will remain the same for the next 4 workouts

Upon Rising:
Nitrozine - 6 caps
Testatrophin v2 - 4 caps
Mesomorph - 1 scoop
Creatine Nitrate - 4 caps
NP bulk Cissus Q - 3 (0.66g) caps
Anabolic Pump - 1 cap


+30 mins later intra w/o drink:
Xtend BCAA - 3 scoops
NP bulk BCAAs - half scoop

During this time I will be doing some site specific stretching and then go into whatever dynamic stretching routine I am doing that day (upper body or lower body {* see videos below}) followed by some extra dynamic warmup which will be posted each day.



The Xtend drink wil be sipped throughout the workout and water added if necessary.

On My Last Resistance Training Set:
P-Slin - 1 cap
Will go for a jog around the block and then come back home for some specific stretching such as asanas

Immediate Post Work Out Shake:
Xtend BCAA - 1 scoop
NP bulk BCAAs - 1 scoop
NP bulk Beta Alanine - 3g
Creatine Nitrate - 4 caps
NP KWICK KARB (WMS) - 25 to 30g

Second Post Workout Shake/Meal:

They are both by Joe Defranco and will be used pretty much exactly as played in the video with some extra attention given to certain areas where I am tighter or need more work.

1 – Foam Roll IT Band – Start just below your hip and roll up & down to your mid-(outer) thigh 10-15X, focusing on any tight spots. Then perform 10-15 “rolls” starting at your mid-(outer) thigh and rolling all the way down to the outside of your knee. Again, focus on the tight areas.

#3 – Glute/Piriformis Myofacial release w/ static stretch


#4 – *Rollovers into “V” sits – Perform 10 reps
#5 - *Fire hydrant circles – 10 forward circles/10 backward circles each leg
#6 - *Mountain climbers – 20 reps
#7 - *Groiners – Perform 10 reps. Hold last rep for 10 seconds…push knees out with your upper arms while dropping your butt down.

*The video below demonstrates exercises 4-7. Make sure you really focus on achieving a big range of motion with all these exercises. Don’t just go through the motions!



#8 – Static hip flexor stretch – Perform 3 sets of 10 seconds each leg. Perform all 3 sets on one leg before moving onto the other leg.

When I do my 24 hy fast I usually go from afternoon to afternoon like 12pm - 12pm so I sleep about 8-9hrs of the fast. Fasting is SOOO easy when your asleep! Plus when you wakle up you feel great and full of energy :biggthumpup:

Yes sir I do and a majority of the key components APS was gracious enough to supply me with. I can not express enough my grattitude to them for hooking it up with this MASSIVE stack. I am hoping for a MASSIVE transformation here. I have been off and on with lifting for about 2 years now with never more than a 6 month commitment to it and this stack/log actually marks the longest I have been lifting consectively so I am hoping to just smash all personal records and come out looking like a completely different person.

I can say thi sis honestly the MOST excitied and driven to workout ever!!! Hopefully the combination of how I am mentally feeling along with the awesomeness of APS and the quality of hard work put in will give me the results I am hoping for :fingersx:

Yes that would be a plus along with the numerous health benefits from fasting. Another plus is imagine the weight loss from doing a 24hr fast once a week.

If you eat around 3000 calories daily that is around 21000 calories a week.

If a pound is around 3500 calories they say to cut 500 calories a day to give you a 3500 calorie deficit to loose that 1 pound a week.

If you fast for just one day you will get that 3000 calorie deficit plus probably more because you will be active and your body will be burning calories too for energy.

So you can effectively loose 1 pound a week without eating less and by just fasting once a week. I know people have a fear of loosing muscle but I doubt very much catabolism will happen in a 24 hr fast and in my opinion the health benefits from a 24 hr fast outweigh the risk of catabolisim. And you can also make a drink of EAAs, BCAAs, Glutamine and olive oil. This will prolly fend off the catabolism and your body will most likely look to fat stores for energy, hopefully (not 100% sure just what I think)

Yea you eat like regular. You can go from whenever you want till whenever you want as long as its 24 hrs. I choose to do it mid day to mid day simply because it is easier to avoid sleep if your sleeping.

You dont eat extra before or after just eat like normal and when your coming off the fast for your first time start off with sipping on some watered down grape juice and then have a regular meal. A big mistake I have made in the past is rushing into food after a fast and bingeing and its bad. You feel like crap afterwards if you do that

Quick tip: Seltzer water helps fend off the hunger too during the day

As I said above I did the fasted training with anabolic pump this morning. Everything went good. Did a new move today, keg triple extension, it was awesome!!!! I did it with the keg empty since it was my first time (and it is freezing in my basement) but I will be adding some water the next time I try it

Squat Jumps - 1x10
Deadlift - 105x5/ 130x5/ 155x3/ 155x3/ 165x3/ 165x3/ 195x3/ 195x3
KB Swing - 2x15 each arm

Step ups onto bench - 2x15
Pinch Grip - using three 10lb plates. Held for around 20-30 seconds each hand for 2 sets
Crush Grip - Hung my Gi over my pull up bar and grabed a handfull and hung for time till failure for 2 sets

Went for a jog around the neighborhood and then came home and did some asanas streching

Workout was simply AMAZING!!!! Not sure if it is from the excitment over a new workout routine, over the stack or the results from the stack but I felt the best i have EVER felt during a workout! The feeling may have been intensified due to the fact I have been in a little slump for the past month but I havent had a workout like this in so long. Energy was consistent, focus was top notch, I was literally rushing through my rest times because I just WANTED to get back to lifting. Usualy I am on AM during my rest times.. lol.. Cant really comment on the pump that much as it was a lower body day and I am not sure if I would have felt much but I did feel ALIVE! I am sure the pump will be more noticable during my upper body day.

Quick review of mesomorph though, after a few shakes it mixed right up! No grainyness in the drink like some pre workouts, actually tested good which is rare. Mostly all workout drinks are some sort of lemon flavor and when they try another flavor it is never really good but not with mesomorph. The taste is actually enjoyable. Energy was great and so was focus! I will type up a more in depth review of mesomorph in the APS section later just wanted to get some thoughts down right now

I made Sweet Pepper Chicken Stir Fry

Ingredients
• 4 cooked, cubed Chicken Breast (6oz each)
• 1 lemon, sliced
• 1 tsp of Garlic
• 1/2 cup onion, chopped
• 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
• 1 tablespoon fresh (or dried) oregano
• 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
• 1 Sweet green pepper, cut in wedges
• 1 Sweet red pepper, cut in wedges
• 1 Sweet Orange pepper, cut in wedges
• Salt And Pepper

Directions
1. Cook chicken separately.

2. Heat wok or large skillet over high heat. Coat with cooking
spray.

It was pretty tastey I think. My wife added soy sauce to her plate and I had a bite and it was pretty good with the soy sauce too.

Thank you for the kind words sir! I really like your log layout though and was thinking about stealing it and trying it out but IDK. I can give more detail on my eating and timing of food and supplements but I figured to just leave it all about the workouts.

I am gonna be recording a video of the keg triple extension later on today and posting it up. Wait till you see this exercise! It is like your doing a suplex!

Woke up at around 7am this morning. Breakfeast was some chicken breast with peppers, mushrooms, garlic, and tomatos.. :food:

Its around 9:40 now.. I am about to take 4 caps T-v2, 6 caps nitro, half scoop mesomorph, and 3 caps creatine nitrate!!

Will see how this treats me while grappling.. I am going to be paying attention to how well I focus, remember the teachings when we are drilling, amount of energy, and if I experience any pumps and if I feel they hinder movements any. I am hoping everything goes great!!!

Depending on how my energy level is I may do a bodyweight circuit afterwards for a little cardio fat burning/ lactic acid training :thumbsup:
 
BJJ went well today. Less people showed up than normal so we took it rather slow and focused more on drills and less one going live. Energy was great throughout the session! In between I just kept wanting to go. Afterwards I did 2 sets of a quick body weight circuit which was:
Push ups -6
Step ups -6
Sit ups -6
Burpees -6
Lunges -6
Planks -30 sec

I wanted to go for 60s on the planks but couldn't. This makes me realize I got to put more time into more core strength.

As for the APD stack I felt great with it but the class wasn't as intense as I would have like it to be. Hopefully Wednesday we get more guys to showup and I get to really push myself and see how the stack performs.

After BJJ I came home a made myself a fruit smoothie (took a yellow gold cap before) of 1 banana, some strawberries, 2 scoops of egg protein, a scoop of greens mix, and a couple caps of fish oil. My next meal will prolly be some tuna with green beans than dinner and maybe a whey and almond milk shake before bed
