LTL is crushing his fellow transformer's!

Day 40

Weight 166 (+1.5)

Chest/tris. Expected some weight loss but the weigh in really had me pissed. This flu couldn't have happened at a worse time. Really felt weak and still wasn't 100 percent today. Stuck mainly with hammer strength machines today, didn't want to get injured with free weight as I was trying to ease back into everything.

Hammer chest press (weight per arm)
1x12 70
1x12 80
1x10 90
1x10 80

Hammer wide press (wpa)
1x12 70
1x12 85
1x10 95
1x11 100
1x12 85

Db flat flys
1x10 40
1x10 45
1x10 45

Vbar pull down
1x12 72.5
1x12 80
1x12 82.5
1x10 80

Close grip bench (wasn't feeling these)
1x8 115

Db overheads
1x12 60
1x12 65
1x10 70

Quit here, hoping strength and stamina will be back tomorrow! Just wasn't feeling it today.

You will get back after it. Eat up on some carbs. :D
I got faith I'm you man.

Yeah your body doesn't actually start being catabolic toward muscle mass until after the 36 hour mark of fasting and a lot of times closer to 48. ADF or Alternate Day Fasting is typically a 30-36 hour fast followed by a 12-16 hour feed the following day. Some of them have about 50-75 grams of protein before bed the night of the fast but 30-36 hours is pretty typical. Don't sweat it at all. Now the only thing that could have caused catabolism in your situation would be a spike in cortisol from the stress of being ill but even that shouldn't have done any noticeable damage to your muscle in that short period of time.

Man you probably needed this sickness to beat me this week. ;) (obligatory smack talk)

I am leaning up fast right now. I went from "almost" seeing a vein in my lower abdomen to seeing a few veins pretty easily this week.

I learned something here.

Kleen as I thought about this more I began to question it... Not the logic behind what you stated just the added factor of throwing up every thing that you have eaten in the day prior to the 30 hour period. Leaving me in a position where I may have been fasting for more around 40+ hours if you think about it?? I did notice a bit of strength loss today, a lot could be contributed to dehydration and still not being 100 percent but its hard to believe the 5.5 lbs I dropped could all be water/fat?? We will see how the rest of the week plays out. I'm noticing my body is reacting to food a lot similar to someone who has starved themselves, being it is storing everything that enters my body. I feel bloated and puffy in my upper abdomen after a normal sized to small meal and can only push down up to about 2200 calories a day with out feeling as if I'm having a baby. This is going to be a struggle to get back to where I was but I will keep pushing...

Way more shredded lol I look up to you bro! U transform better than optimus lol

Fock Kleen you are doing crazy good lately! Nice work, and good info as always! Thanks. I love those veins in the abdomen I'd never had them until about a month ago! My girl says eww those are sick. ;-)
My wife is not a big fan either. However for men it is a badge of leanness and muscularity.

I learned something here.
I have been doing the different versions of Intermittent Fasting for about a year now. Maybe longer. I did a lot of reading up on them and found that information to be both fascinating and freeing. It completely changes the game for me as far as enjoying how I eat. I get some more options for food by having less frequent meals but more calorie dense foods when I eat.

That is probably valid regarding the fact you purged, that you were around 40 hours. Remember, I said that more often then not beyond the 40 mark. Now the weakness is due to being sick but you also have to realize that during that time the body had to resort to going after glycogen stored in muscle. That is not catabolism, it is just using the resources. However you have been dieting and remaining strict so you haven't really replenished the glycogen stores. That will cause a major loss in muscle volume but not the size of the muscle fiber itself. Have a minor refeed, say add 100g carbs to whatever your normal cutting carb count is just 1 day and see if you don't feel better. Don't sweat this because just like a workout you will rebound from any damage and probably surpass your previous condition in the process.

Thank you for the awesome feedback bro! Honestly its weird as I read your post I start to notice that I'm starting to feel fuller after just one good carb loaded post workout! HAHA no joke, I just need to get this out of my head and fight off the fatigue and I'll be unleashed again!

Yep flu caused major dehydration and some fat loss. Hopefully I'll be back at it in no time! ;-)

Pull through my brotha! Its one of those curve balls life throws at you during the worst possible times. Unfortunately my cycle was riddled with "life", but I am hoping to have a real smooth PCT.

Definitely trying, not sure how my body hasn't recovered fully after 4 days. We will see what happens in the next few. Still having random pains in my stomach and sides and back pumps have been crazy since that flu. I really think the flu took a perfect cycle and reeked havoc on it. I'm not sure my body is going to put up with another two weeks to be honest, I hate to say it... I'm a trooper though so I'll wait it out but I'm also not on a suicide mission, I realize the flu compromised my immune system as well as put a number on my organs.

Thanks bro! Felt my energy and strength picking up today, a lot of the abs were done supersetted with my lifts because I had limited time. Yesterday I was so fatigued there was no way I could have done that! Ill get back fully!

Nice work bro! My abs took a beating from not working for those days! Not even sure I can see my full six anymore!

Oh no I thought you said it helped you get leaner.

It did for sure. However when your body rebounds after not being fed for so long it tends to store I'm noticing. Every time I eat Im getting incredible bloating going on in my abdomen as If my body is afraid it is going to be in a fasted state again.. I'm still lean but it's hard to flex my abs because my stomach still gets severe pain. If you would have seen what took place during my illness you would be shocked. Cycling causes my muscles to experience extreme cramping. While I was throwing up every twenty minutes for that entire day I was experiencing multiple debilitating cramps all at the same time caused by my up chuck movements. It damn near put me in the ER. I still have a pulled muscle in my shoulder/neck and my sides still ache. I haven't ever experienced such vulnerability in my adult life.

Through out this I still made it to work every day, an average person not only would have called off work they would still be in the hospital in my opinion. I was very afraid this was caused by the cycling so didn't post on here right away how bad the situation really was. When I showed up at work and my assistant said they had the same illness I was very relieved. Though mine has lasted a few days longer then there's, IMO I believe it could be due to the orals. What kills me is I passed it off to my fiancé who had to call off work today and hasn't been out of bed in over 24 hours. My son is now running a fever and I feel terrible my family is going through this. I'm working 7 days 60 plus hours so I can't stay home and take care of them. Life's a bitch at times for sure.

Good to see you're slowy getting back to normal. The way you've been working I'd think you'll still end up make progress this week.

Sorry to hear about your girl and son. Must be rough.

Appetite is increasing, I may be able to get in over 3k cals today. Highest I've managed since getting the flu was about 2300! The last 8 hours have been pretty good Hdrol dose is at 100 daily for now, hopefully we can keep this going! Can't wait to crush shoulders tomorrow!!

I definitely recommend it! I like it personally better then Mdrol.

I'll do my best I've been thinking a lot lately and weighing my risks to options. Mid week I will explain what I'm going to be doing as far as pct etc.

Glad to hear you are recovering from the flu! Keep at it!

Good to hear you are feeling better. You already take your pics or you waiting until tomorrow for the extra recovery? I have yesterdays and may take some here in a few and even tomorrow just to see what comes out the best. That little abdomen shot was from yesterday at the gym.

Going to take some when I get home from the gym a little later. Can't wait to see your pics bro!

Cool I can't wait to see how well you recovered. I am sure better than you think.

I'm definitely getting close! Felt strong today, didn't let the weight loss get to my head and mess up my numbers. Felt strong as hell on the db inclines. Wish I would have started at 75 cause I feel i could have got to 5 for 85 if I had. :-)

Great workout bro!!! With that numbers I think you are back!!! Doing PRs...keep it up!!!
Thanks brosef! I'm trying hard! Still limiting any cardio work because my weight is so low right now as it is. The PR's felt great though for sure!

Nice with the PR's I imagine you have recovered well.

Alright here we go, definitely leaner this week but I was shocked at the size I look especially on back with the 6 lb loss! I would like some input on what shots to use, sorry no legs this week was trying to get these done and out of the way because of work tonight and trying to get some food etc all in one. Some look like doubles not sure if I messed it up some how...

Thanks punj! It took some weight off but I'm still going to pull through I think!

Looking good, back is really defined. Your chest looks bigger now that you aren't pinning your shoulders back.

Good feedback bro, your pics up yet??? ;-) Chest is definitely way better in that new stance that I started last week. Sacrifice some ab definition with it but chest is way better.

Looking great LTL! Your weight loss appears to have been nothing more than fat and glycogen and a little water bro. You appear to be retaining all your muscle from when you were heavier. You are looking very good and lean my friend. I gotta say I'm starting to get jealous of all you guys getting ripped. I've kinda been going the other way, and after the weekend I had I feel and look like a cow in my mind. My shredding doesn't start for another 3 weeks, so I need to be careful to minimize damage.

Keep killing it bro!
