I think this applies to alot of people. That's what Golden Finish was designed for... You may want to think about aminos if you don't already supplement with those as well. :)

Do you have the improved grape version? Or the Lemonade?

I love it, try to chill it in the fridge before drinking. It's much better when its ice cold imo.

It's grape and it's not good. I hate grape anything though, I was the only kid growing up who would refuse to drink or eat anything grape flavored....I am truley a grape hater.

I went with it because I really wanted it and the lemonade was out of stock

Thanks, the pic was from a natural competition I was in a few years ago. I loved my back shots from that show and I received a ton of compliments on the delts/rear delts as well.

I am new to the AM forums but have been looking for an opportunity to get into doing logs/reviews. Good luck with the reviews.

Hey RR, how would one do this stuff on non-workout days?

I would like to point out I may be moving to a 3day workout split.

I'd stil be doing cardio 6days a week and on non-lifting days I'd do the golden finish post-cardio :)

Just not sure about sunday? 1st thing in the morning probably?

I've thought about this. I'm not setting any specific dosing requirements. If you want to use it everyday and do a ~20 day log, that will yield the best gains. If you only use it post workout, that's fine too; just make sure your protein is high the other days. :)

I use it post workout, and I work out 4 days per week. Sometimes I'll end up doing off days as well, to decrease recovery time.

Thanks RR. Im getting in a minimum of 300gr/day :D Now with my ATW protein coming in (cake batter and choc mint) it's looking more like I'll be doing 350-400 :woohoo:

Well I saw the other CL logger search but I decided not to apply to let some others have a chance, but GF has special interest to me (see long paragraph).

Age: 19

Sex:Male

Height: 6'0

Weight: 155~

Bodytype: Ecto (Former Runner)

Training experience (as much detail as possible.. TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF ! ! WHY should we choose you ! !):

I started weight training for fun starting at 14, and did competitive rugby and soccer during high school. I always was a runner, but in university I just haven't had the time to go for 1-2 hour runs, so instead I decided to focus on hitting the weightroom in my 1 hour breaks in between gym classes. Being a Life Sciences major with a passion for nutrition, bodybuilding is the perfect place for me to put all the things I love together.

Discovering NutraPlanet was like jumping headfirst into something much bigger than I had realized. I bought tubs of bulk powders, and started mixing my own home-brews of Pre-WO powders, and started to gain a mountain of protein powders. With much reading and research, I started experimenting with training programs, meal timing etc. Bodybuilding for me is a process of constant development, and even more learning. One product that really interested me was X-Factor, which I have another 11 days left of in my log (link below).

I think the link between supplements and bodybuilding progress is important, but often overstressed. Too many people overlook the importance of diet and feel that a certain supplement will make them big. In the past few months I've focused more on eating solid meals and haven't noticed an impact in my recovery. With that being said, I've also tinkered around custom BCAA mixes. I use Green Mag for my creatine, and I've tinkered with Leucine, BCAA's, Glutamine, Citrullina Malate and Beta-Alanine. While I've noticed more energy/focus during the gym and fast recovery, I find the biggest impact on my performance is simply the amount of carbs I take in before/after my workouts. I always aim for about 80-90g of Complex Carbs from Oats + berries 60-90 mins pre-WO and I've tried introducing carbs into my peri-workout mixture with limited success. I find I don't workout well with much in my stomach, but then paradoxically I'll find myself hungry by the end of my workout despite a massive breakfast. This is the reason why I decided to throw in my application for Golden Finish; I plan to use it just before/during my WO because it promises easy & fast carbs to help keep me energized during my workout, in addition to the AA's that I like to help with my recovery.

Current Training Schedule / Protocol (as much detail as possible):
Currently I'm doing
Day 1- Legs
Day 2: Upper Body& Back
Day3: Deads/Traps HIIT
Day 4: Shoulders & HIIT
Day 5: Bi's Tri's, Abs & HIIT
With a day off every so often (You can check out my X-Factor log for more details), however I plan on switching to a different routine that I've used in the past which looks like this:
Day 1- Lower Body
Squats- 4 x 8 (2,0,2)
Seated Leg Press- 3x12 (3,0,3) no lockout
Leg Extensions- 4x10 supersetting with Leg Curls- 4x10
Machine-Squat- 4x10 (3,0,3)
Calf Raises and Calf Presses 3x10
Barbell Lunges 3x10 supsersetted with Front Squats 3x10

Day 2- Upper body Horizontal
Widegrip Bench Press- 4x8
Widegrip Barbell Row- 4x10
Incline Bench Press 4x10 Supersetted with Low Row 4x10
Preacher Curls - 4x10 Superseeted with Skullcrushers 4x10

Day 3- Abs or rest
Depending on how sore I feel and my school schedule, this is either an abs workout or a rest day.

Day 4- Legs Similar to Day-1 replacing squats with abs
Stiff-Leg Deadlifts 5x7
Calf Raises and Seated Presses
High Leg Presses 4x8 Supersetted with Cable Crunches
Leg Curls 4x10 Supersetted with Leg Extensions 4x10
Machine Squats 4x10 Supersetted with Leg Raises (lower abs)
Swiss Ball Ab Work

Day 5- Upper body vertical
Shoulder Press 4x10 Supersetted Isolateral Pulldowns 4x10
Dips 4 Sets to exhaustion
Pullovers 4x10 Supersetted with Shrugs 4x10
Back Fly 4x10 Supersetted with Pec Flyes 4x10
Pullups 4 sets to Exhaustion

Cardio Schedule/Protocol (as much detail as possible):
HIIT 3x a week roughly, and 20mins slow-cardio after leg-day.

Current supplements (exact brand/product name):
NP Green Tea Caps
NP Fish Oil (When not on X-Factor)
Anabolic Pump (Once I finish X-Factor)
1-Carboxy
Green Mag
NP Beta-Alanine
MultiVitamin Centrum

Current Diet and macros (as much detail as possible):
I am currently studying for my MCAT's, so my daily caloric expenditure is pretty low. I'm finding it is about ~2200 and I'm eating around 2600 to lean bulk. My carbs are packed around my morning workout (Oats before, pasta/WW something afterwards) . I sometime skip the PWO shake and just go straight into high GI carb/pro meal, but it's variable.

40% Carbs 30% Protein 30% Fats

Typical meal plan looks like
Pre-WO Meal 1: 7h00 100g Steelcut Oats, Scoop Whey, Berries
8h15-9h15: Workout with Green Mag/BCAA/BA + others
Meal 29h20 Scoop WPI,Ground Oats,100g Frozen Banana
PWO (Meal 3)10h20 70g Complex Carbs (Usually sweetpotato + Biscotti) 100g Chicken Breast
Meal 4 13h30 Beef Chili with Extra Frozen Veggies (Staple frozen in tupperwares), Tsp Fish Oil
Meal 5 16h30 Grilled Wholewheat Salmon Wrap, Broccoli
Meal 6 19h302 Egg 0.5cup Eggwhite Omelette + Lowfat Cheese,Tsp Fish Oil,

Meal 7 : Casein Shake + 1-2 Tbsp coconut Oil

Current Daily water intake:
4-5 L easy. I drink a ton of tea.

Current and long-term Goals:
Lean Bulk while staying under 10% bf which I feel is a realistic goal if I track what I eat and train hard.

ANY and ALL Prescription / Non-Prescription / Recreational drugs:
None

Supplement history (as much detail as possible):
I alluded to most of this in my writing. I've started with just Protein, then tried creatine, then pre-WO stuff like Beta-Alanine and Creatine. I also did some pre-WO supps (White Flood, Ragnarok), Yellow Gold + Anabolic Pump. Have used DTH, oh man so much stuff lol.
