Just as the title states, I have a big exam comming up that i really want to nail. Any suggestions on a supplement that will aid in memory and mental focus for the day of the exam?

Thanks

Personally I do not have a lot of experience with nootropics. There are a lot of bulk powders and such I am sure people will recommend for you. However, I have used Lucidrol out of our AMS lineup and liked it quite a lot. Really helps me focus and provides a sort of tunnel vision on what I am focusing on for me. Nutra has it for 17.99 right now I believe.

Best of luck on your exam

i like ACETYL CARNITINE, i find it helps me heaps. However, i dont know if it is meant for this purpose. You may wish to try it before exam day.

SNS Focus XT. In my opinion the best supplement for this hands down.

I recommend Blue Raspberry.

I used to stack caffeine with RPM before my exams (then again, I used to do all-nighters the night before an exam as well, going to the exam on no sleep) and they definitely helped. After a while, I started just using RPM, because for a time the caffeine just out me to sleep.

Whatever you choose, make sure you do a test run(no pun intended). You don't want to be sick or be dealing with side effects on the day of your test.

If you can get your hands on a time machine then STIMULANT X -- Circa 2005 -- - the most powerful stimulant ever created by the supplement industry... I would personally pay $200 per bottle for that right now and if you think Im exaggerating let me assure you I'm not!!!

I had a cousin quote me some studies on testing and hydration. Be sure to be extremely well hydrated 3-4 days before and the day of. Don't drink so much that you are uncomfortable during the test. He swears it helped him. It can't hurt and being properly hydrated is a good idea anyway.

Also, i forgot to mention one obvious thing. Carb load 4 or so days before. Carbs are what your brain uses to think. They are essential for a test.

As I understand this statement and it's purpose I feel the need to point out that carb loading isn't just eating carbs for a day or two and is not usually done for 4 days. A quick google search will bring up proper methods.

Personally I'm taking Pramiracetam (1-2 daily doses of 700-900mg) and 1 Scoop Focus XT when it's hardcore sit and focus time.

When the Focus XT wears off I typically chuck back 2-3 MAN Swagger for the last caffeine kick of the day.

Seems to be going well so far.

That is pretty good advice.

Wow, man... stims for focus? I know most get foggy from heavy stims, and definitely from larger doses of caffine.

Here is all you need for beautiful mental accuity:

Piracetam (If you cannot find it, ani or oxi work well, just dose lower)
A form of Choline (I use Bitartrate)
ALCAR

And done. Great mental recall and memory formation!

great question. i too have a huge test coming up in june. my job pretty much depends on it. 2-3 months is the norm for studying time for this particular test. ive been studying for around 2 months already (not very intense), but for the whole month of may i need to hit it hard. most of you recommend focus xt which im currently looking into. however, do you crash after the effects wear off? i cant take jack3d or anything else that has 1,3 whatever it is because i crash real hard (like coming off a night of doing blow). def would like to hear more from ppl who have used it solely as a study aid... thanks

Since they are being pimped in this thread already :D...From experience: Focus XT, StimX, and L.I.T. Up are all good choices in the focus/no crash department.

This is pretty much what Motivate does for me...it's a bit milder than some other stims, makes it easier to control the dosing... I use it for courses at work.

Thank you very much for all the ideas. It sounds like Focus XT is a strong candidate. I will take some time and research all these supps and formulate a plan after a trial run, haha definitley dont want to burn out out on test day!

The crash some experience from 1,3 is not welcome for focusing. I also think some stims are so strong that they affect my attention span and make it next to zero. This is why i prefer choline over something that jacks up epinephrine.

Yah come to think of it I am a bit ADD so that may be why some stims actually increase my focus...

What is this!??? I'm baffled at all these caffeine recommendations. I'd say go with lucidrol (pea), bacopa, Acetyl-L-Carnitine. No stims if possible, smooth stable state.

Phenylethylamine (PEA) is the best focus supplement I've ever tried. Best way to describe the feeling is losing your mind in the material your studying. Many have mentioned lucidrol, if it has PEA in it, I would go with that.

heaps and heaps of cocaine...just kidding...not really...adderall

I know someone said no 1,3-dimethyl but I use that to study and found that it works great for me for focus. PEA, on the other hand, I found to be more of a hindrance and didn't like it at all.

Other products you can try (all of which I have used):
-Now Brain Elevate

-LifeTime Brain Support Formula

-Healthy Origins Cognizin Citicoline

-ALCAR

Is it an exam for work? If yes, then can you get the answers for me?

Not sure, but I'm guessing this thread is closed. Was a while since he posted, so perhaps he already have done the exam ?
