My future thoughts on what to do:

Have my first carb-up planed for Friday, here the plan:
-pop cialis for vasodilation
-go training with pump in mind
-intra shake with salt, glycerol and sugar (Hyperhydration protocol)
-after that, white pasta binge 30 minutes after training
-then sleep and see how I look on Saturday.

What do you all think about this?
Honestly, im not sure. But you got a plan. All left is to implement it and see if it works!

Preworkout along with your cialis take in a shake with 25g carbs with eaas, 5g creatine, some glycerol and around 6g of citrulline

Then do your intra, then post workout. Maybe throw in Gda or metformin post workout.

GDA wouldn’t have any benefit post workout... insulin sensitivity post workout AND after fasting will be at an all time high.

Exactly, not everyone is trying to keep the body as anabolic as possible 24/7.

talking about longevity, I wonder how fasting stands against just very lite eating, not for muscle growth but say staying skinny and never eat anything bad. The studies are always against the average and the average sucks let's be honest.
Well maybe not a direct answer to your question but I am aware that a mimicking fasting diet (which is fundamentally a very light calorie intake for a period of 5-7 days) apparently provides all the longevity benefits of a full fast (but not all the body comp benefits).

I also seem to recall periods of calorie restriction (not necessarily full fasting, just restriction) being one of the themes in these blue zones (not smoking and being a healthy weight unsurprisingly are also up there).

I hate making comments like the above without linking the studies but it’s getting late over here and I still need to meditate before bed (trying to get back into a routine of mindfulness).....will try to dig them out tomorrow.

It will help get back into ketosis a lot quicker, not sure if that’s his goal or not. Metformin will definitely aid in shuttling and it can make you a lot tighter the next morning(appearance wise). I know he mentioned seeing how he looked the next morning...

Not having any supplements on hand, like citrulline or creatine (explained why earlier). Instead of metformin, I have berberine and R-ala to address the same issue, guessing it would work.

Hgp, what’s your view on metformin?

I’m pretty much set on adding it to my standard daily supplement regime. I’ve been advoiding it as I’d heard negatives but then recently saw those studies were on severely compromised patient groups......the up sides seem significant though?

Another thing I have planed is:

Dropping nandrolone, as I'm sure it holds water. Instead upping test to 500mg/w. Later implementing maybe anavar to help with the goals (not now as I'm still recovering from orals and have to get my cholesterol balanced out).

If you have no (low) sides, it supposedly is a godsend for metabolism and even longevity. Never tried it -but used berberine in the past to lower borderline high blood sugar.

Got you man, none the less the carbs and the cialis should be great before the pump work.

Today, day 9:

Flat like a pancake, no definition at all. Not happy -but was to expect. (The black blob is barely covering my genitals...) ;)

It's not super aesthetic to have flat muscles, but you'll be looking great after your first carb-up. That's when your new definition is really going to be apparent.

Here is the problem. What the hell should I eat. In my house all food sources are health optimized. The pasta and rice is whole wheat, no chocolate anywhere, tons of fruits (would have to eat a truck load). Can't think of a high glycemic food source.
Would need to get the "toxic stuff", like white pasta in the supermarket and some skittles, right?
Now considering to get me Karbolyn, what do you think?
Carbolyn is awesome, however you can probably pick up some dextrose powder at a supermarket and do very well with that, and any starchy carb source.
Yes, exactly. I don't have this "toxic" stuff even in the house, none of it. My whole family switched bad habits, because of me getting conscious about it.

By the way, since I started coaching my daughter (together with the new family nutrition). Yesterday she did 4 good form push ups, formerly 0. She did 12 smith squats with great depth, formerly 3. The week I went on the fast was her deloading week, it worked wonders!
I defiitely wouldn;t call white bread toxic, if anything there are more problems associated with whole grain breads than bleached and processed ones. Especially when the actual goal is to create an insulin spike.

Wondering now. Does it matter, when backloading, if it is plain sugar -or something like dextrose, maltose ? Is any low glycemic carb useful equally?
Yes low glycemic will be usefull in your situation, just put some high glycemic stuff in there too in order to get that insulin spike going.
With carb backloading, no low glycemic carb is useful due to the fact it will take you longer to get back into ketosis. Any high glycemic carb is fair game.
It is in the initial part of the feeding but yeah pretty much shouldn't be seeking them out. Easily digested starches and sugars are definitely the go to!

Have some fruit right after training or with your pasta binge, the sugar from the fruit actually increases either insulin spike or sensitivity. I can't remember which one right now but the point is the fruit will make the carb load more effective. I think it has to do with the sensitivity though, not just the spike because of course adding sugar to a carb meal will increase the insulin release.

This is exactly what I told him earlier, that he is one carb load away from being big full, and looking leaner than he thinks he is. Being flat sucks and isn't great for the ego but with those refeeds when everything pops it is very rewarding.

Awesome, gonna do. Also dropping nandrolone a bit later on (next week), as I am sure it diminishes definition.

Here a pic before nandrolone AND fast started:

No really stand up!

Oh yeah you are a short fugger like me!!!!

Karbolyn is awesome! !!!
Yeah it is. Just a decent expense too. I often do a dextrose and malto mix to save money. It works well for me. However if i could afford Karbolyn on the reg I sure would.

Karbolyn is the bomb, BUT I would NOT use it if backloading - the entire Jazz over Karbolyn is that it hits you fast like a high GI sugar but it is actually complex and remains steady for a much longer period. I was knocking out 4 hour strongman event days in January sipping on 100g Karbolyn and a handful of 4g glucose tabs (only breakfast being about 3 eggs and a piece of fruit). It’s great for extended training or other athletic endeavor, but a waste of money for a backload indeed.

Looking great but man don't drop nandrolone for test, you're way too big too to run a little extra test and expect something you haven't seen before. Especially if you're cutting the nandrolone will be awesome. Besides test does bloat, deca can be kept fairly clean, Just my two cents

I agree. For his purposes right now nandrolone is far superior to test.
Okay, keeping it.

Gym

Fast paced, high volume, full body.

Stuff like 135lbs BB bench flat x30/30/30 -you get the picture.
Had a shake with only water and salt, like ValiantThor08 suggested, got sort of a pseudo-pump from it. It helped looking not as flat afterwards.

If karbolyn includes low glycemic, slow carbs, I wouldn't use. Will interfere with fat burning/ketosis.

Oh boy... That looks doable.

I'll post my carb meals on friday. The sheer volume of sweets and pasta to reach 400gr carbs is ridiculous. Have to eat my daily protein too. No idea how I gonna make that fit.

Day 10

Every day I can see small changes. Looking still flat and fat deposits are more pronounced -BUT they are shrinking. Getting less on the abdomen. Under-boob and hip-tire still look unchanged. In clothes I look fairly lean already.
Tomorrow is the big carb backload -and I'm eager to see how I look on Saturday. Next pic Saturday. Nobody wants to see a fat, hairy old man that often.

Question for the advanced and academical AM members:

If it comes to looking your best, is potassium -or sodium the mineral of choice to favor? If I have to spike my intra -or post workout shake, which should I use look the best? One of the two is depositing water intracellular and the other under skin -and in tissue, how I understood it.

Bye far advanced or academical, but I use sea salt to keep potassium and sodium from being imbalanced. For me it's a pump thang!!!
