That's really cool, it's great you all tackle it as a family. My kids are only 5 and 7 but they will still join in with some of my workouts and they will have the odd protein shake with added banana (although I make theirs with milk).Yes, exactly. I don't have this "toxic" stuff even in the house, none of it. My whole family switched bad habits, because of me getting conscious about it.
By the way, since I started coaching my daughter (together with the new family nutrition). Yesterday she did 4 good form push ups, formerly 0. She did 12 smith squats with great depth, formerly 3. The week I went on the fast was her deloading week, it worked wonders!
With carb backloading, no low glycemic carb is useful due to the fact it will take you longer to get back into ketosis. Any high glycemic carb is fair game.Wondering now. Does it matter, when backloading, if it is plain sugar -or something like dextrose, maltose ? Is any low glycemic carb useful equally?
They are! If it elicits a big insulin response, winner winner chicken dinner.Sorry, I meant high glycemic...like fructose, dextrose and so on. Are they all equally valid?
On backloading days, they are talking about 500 gr of carbs or more. So in theory, 1 pound of plain sugar would do? The mental picture that comes up is somewhat surreal. Isn't it?They are! If it elicits a big insulin response, winner winner chicken dinner.
I never got that high. Usually highest was around 300, maybe a little more. You don't have to do the maximum, which is an assumption anyways, everyone is able to carry a specific amount of glycogen due to everyone having varying amount of muscle. On backloading days, they are talking about 500 gr of carbs or more. Supposing I carry more muscles than you, I would need 400gr of hg carbs from a non-fat source. I'm really trying to grasp the sheer amounts of mentos I would have to chew down.I never got that high. Don't think of it that way lol. Think of it this way. 1 container of fettuccini is only 328g of carbsSupposing I carry more muscles than you, I would need 400gr of hg carbs from a non-fat source. I'm really trying to grasp the sheer amounts of mentos I would have to chew down.
No. No pounds of sugar. Thats gunna kill you manOn backloading days, they are talking about 500 gr of carbs or more. So in theory, 1 pound of plain sugar would do? The mental picture that comes up is somewhat surreal. Isn't it?
I think breakfast cerials are your best bet.Supposing I carry more muscles than you, I would need 400gr of hg carbs from a non-fat source. I'm really trying to grasp the sheer amounts of mentos I would have to chew down.
Nah...that's low glycemic .I think breakfast cerials are your best bet.
Frosted flakes?Nah...that's low glycemic .
Don't like pizza (The only one on planet earth, I guess). It will be white pasta, that I like!If you go the pizza route, have them put on less cheese.
Love white pasta. Alfredo, spaghetti, butter garlic. Yummy.Don't like pizza (The only one on planet earth, I guess). It will be white pasta, that I like!
How much fat can you get away with?If you go the pizza route, have them put on less cheese.
10% frosted flakes / 20% raisins /70% mentosFrosted flakes?
I would say around 30g is a safe bet.How much fat can you get away with?
Holy crap. Dude just said his body can tell the difference between yeast from the U.S. vs. Europe. Ive learned a LOT about how.to.listen to my body over the years, but wow, to stomach brain the origin of yeast!? Way cool. Gotta find me some imported bread to try this weekend.
Hgp...I eat cereal every day, it can become a very good snack. Even dry it's goodI think breakfast cerials are your best bet.
I'm still watching / listening....Holy crap. Dude just said his body can tell the difference between yeast from the U.S. vs. Europe. Bad joke, perhaps DC "cut diet" should not influence you here, lol.10% frosted flakes / 20% raisins /70% mentos
Don't know what "DC" stands for.Bad joke, perhaps DC "cut diet" should not influence you here, lol.
I can assure you that coco rice crispies are not low glycemic hahaNah...that's low glycemic .
Nah...wrong advise. We are discussing keto with backloading on high glycemic carbs. No cereals, beans, whole wheat. That was good in a normal diet for during the day -now the opposite.Hgp...I eat cereal every day, it can become a very good snack. Even dry it's good
Besides T3 , T4 and DNP all of them in the past. You ever taken fat burners? Tell me more
You also store a fair amount of glycogen in the liver, normally around 20% of total stored is there I believe. I’d suggest for your weight 120g in the liver and 400g in the muscle is the minimum you store.....Supposing I carry more muscles than you, I would need 400gr of hg carbs from a non-fat source. Yes. You don't want to restore liver glycogen. As I understand:
On keto diet liver is full with ketones already. When carb backloading, you only fill up glycogen stores in muscles -not liver. That is why you stay in ketosis afterwards.
Correct, everyone?
That is a meal. How many meals/calories you going for daily?Preparing my meal:
13 eggs, cut grilled meat, sour cream mixed in for fat, 1 small bell pepper and 1 tomato to give it color.

In that case, limit fructose consumption. It will still work - we know anecdotally it really does work still, although it shouldn’t work so well on paper. But, I wouldn’t go heavy on fruits, juice, or corn syrup for the sake of it. Basically only whatever you really want.Yes. You don't want to restore liver glycogen.

Not counting, I try only to get my needed protein + fat. As it is only one meal x day, I should be in a deficit. That is a meal. How many meals/calories you going for daily?
Not bad. At one meal, you are going to burn through fat.Not counting, I try only to get my needed protein + fat. As it is only one meal x day, I should be in a deficit.
Lets see how much we have here:
13 eggs = 80gr prot/145gr fat/7gr carbs
300gr beef = 75prot/65gr fat
sour cream = 2 gr prot 20gr fat / 2gr carbs
Total: prot 160gr / fat 230 gr /carbs 12gr (including tomato+pepper)
Total calories: 1850 - 2000
I mean, its HUGE. Now down about 40% of the bowl. 90 minutes left to finish it, then the feeding window closes. Not bad. At one meal, you are going to burn through fat.
Eat faster!I mean, its HUGE. Now down about 40% of the bowl. 90 minutes left to finish it, then the feeding window closes.
Yes, its like a damn race against time. Thanks to ValiantThor08 , I counted calories and fat content -and now it HITS me.Eat faster!
Well isnt that wonderful. So I REALLY need to find some imported bread! Guess thats one more reason to avoid carbs...This is an attribution error. The reason he can “feel” a difference is because non-organic American wheat is heavily contaminated with glyphosate.
Man, looks delicious! That is a meal. How many meals/calories you going for daily?
Nuts are a terrific way to add calories without much satiety. This makes them great to dial calories up to a target number if already stuffed, but a poor choice to consume without measure!Yes, its like a damn race against time. Thanks to ValiantThor08 , I counted calories and fat content -and now it HITS me.
Just to get to my daily needed protein, I consume a huge amount of fat with it already AND calories. Not much room for stuff like nuts. Good to know. Either my future meals get smaller -or no more nuts for me. Made a huge error in the past assuming, since no carbs are involved, I had room calorie wise. EEEEH - buzzer - sound!
didn't europe pass some kind of non import of gmo? This is an attribution error. The reason he can “feel” a difference is because non-organic American wheat is heavily contaminated with glyphosate.
back maybe 10 years ago[maybe longer] I saw a video of what gmo corn did to intestines of cattle, it wasn't pretty.Probably, but wheat isn’t GMO-approved even in the United States.
I personally still like 3 meals a day to easily get over 3000 calories.I just wanted to point out (again) how refreshing this log is. I remember when eating every 2 hours was all the rage..."stoke the fire" for metabolism and all that...
Now we are looking for ways to eat less often...so interesting
