Ok today is the day, I don't know why but I woke up weighing 214.8, I did wake up 3 or 4 times to pee last night and sweating in my sleep so maybe just water. Had a onion bagel, 4 eggs, Colby Jack cheese and some spinach for breakfast, doing a buritto bowl with rice beef, and toco toppings for lunch, and probably a shake with bananas, peanut butter, whey and skim milk after work before I go max out.

Then me, 2 of my boys and my kids are going to make pizzas after we're done. Tomorrow I will spend the 100$ on meal prep for my next phaze of training which will be eating 3200calories per day while adding cardio back in.

I'd like to talk over my plan moving forward if anyone would like to bump heads and toss ideas around.

Decided to keep it kinda strength oriented but bodybuilding too.

Deadlifts, back and biceps

Bench press, shoulders and triceps

Squats, farmers walks, forearms/biceps(hammer and reverse curls)

Shoulder press, chest and triceps.

2 on 1 off and repeat.

Let's continue this tomorrow tho, first I gotta get through work and max out

I tried putting up a video a while back and you can't just upload a video like a picture, you gotta go through YouTube apparently or another platform. Unfortunately I'm not the best when it comes to technology. And the video on my $99 Android phone is not the best quality. I am going to have my daughter record it on her iPhone so eventually I can put it up when my kids teach me how lol

Make sure to get plenty of sodium and carbs in today, and throw some extra creatine in if you can. Take honestly as much caffeine whatever stims you really like as you can safely tolerate pre-lift. Like a 20oz coffee from Starbucks with a doubleshot of espresso and a cap of Bronkaid. Or a 1.5x serving of a mean preWO at least. You only need to do singles after your basic warmup and you will be laying down on a bench, so high heart rate is acceptable.

Also, make sure you play some hype music!

“Ain’t nothing to it but to do it!”

I have a 50 ounce jug with essential amino acids, a hydration complex and a scoop of pre-workout I've been sipping on all morning, talk to eat some white rice ground beef and taco toppings, after that my shake with the bananas and peanut butter and everything else is going to have close to a hundred grams of carbs

I had 2 victories today, first I got myself a pr on bench, 353lbs, I didn't attempt 350, for my last warm up sets I did 333 very easily and my buddy pulled out the hundred and threw it on the floor cus he knew 350 was going up. So I jumped to 353 and there was a slight stick on the way back up but it was definitely a good rep. I gave him his hundred back too.

My other victory today was my 11 year old son who does nothing but sit on a computer all day came with me. He walked on the treadmill for 15 minutes and tried a couple different exercises, none of which he liked except leg extensions, so I put 25lbs on the leg ext and got him to do 3x30. And he said he will do some more stuff tomorrow. So any interest at all out of him makes me happy. Bout to eat pizza and wings. And Monday I will start my new program. Thanks to everyone for following and a extra thanks to those of you who gave me direction on what to do.

I second this 353 on bench is extremely impressive. New muscle has definitely been built in the process
I just wish I didn't take 5 years off, but relearning all my lifts with better form I think is going to pay off. Now it's time to get in shape!

Glad for your success, and that life is good. You done good.

After my last meet, I was so sick of forcing calories the day after I fasted til like 2pm because I could, then went to Jason’s deli and had a light salad and lemon water...it was perfect

On that note: my next meet prep is about to begin. Test e begins tomorrow and orals on Monday... I decided I’m going to go with the Vertical Diet as my nutritional base (been doing cyclic keto lately) and not force the bodyweight so hard this time. I’m already fat enough!

Il be watching that, and I know what you mean about after you've been forcing calories, I couldn't for the life of me get myself to eat breakfast this morning, I'm halfway through my work day and still haven't eaten, I'm about to go have something small. And it's not like I'm not hungry, it's just nothing sounds good because I'm sick of eating soooooo much

The orals definitely are a big part of it too. Now that SD is gone things will get easier.

You know, I only benched 352 at my last meet. So now you need to start giving me tips so I can catch up to you!
I still have no flicking clue what works lol. Benching gains just come easy for me in relation to other lifts. I wrestled from 5-19 years old. 2 conference championship, ranked 1st in small states, 3rd in the state at one point. Also MMA and boxing. I really think all that grappling and punching transfers over to being good at pressing movements.

What do you think of the new program I came up with for the next 2 months. Trying to mix strength and bodybuilding.

Deadlifts-10,5,5,3,3
Back and biceps hypertrophy.

Bench-10,5,5,3 70%xfailure
Shoulder and triceps hypertrophy.

Squat-20,10,5, farmers walks
More legs, biceps/forearms heavy. Like hammer and reverse curls.

Shoulder press-10,5,5,3 70%xfailure
Chest and triceps hypertrophy.

Will do 2 on 1 off or sometimes EOD depending on work. But 3-5 workouts per week. Some bike riding 3x week for cardio to start

I think anything will work for a while if you enjoy it, believe in it, and put in the hard work. But usually it pays to have something that rotates, cycles, or progresses intensity or volume on the big lifts over time. So if you want to do something for 8 weeks, have something like that built in. You won’t be able to just add weight for 8 weeks straight to the same rep scheme unless you started super light.

Or find a program online for free that sounds fun and go with that lol

Volume and intensity would be rotated, I didn't write all the details, that's the basic outline for week 1

I have noticed that people are more willing to help, give advice and support in the strength/powerlifting world a lot more then the bodybuilding world. Not that I'm really either of those things lol, but when it comes to bodybuilding, I feel like everyone is scared of ppl getting bigger then them so they don't wanna give you the full story, or you gotta somehow earn it. While the strength guys want to see you get stronger and help

Most folks who like to lift heavy get psyched up when other people successfully lift heavy.

I agree with that! In my experience I typically don’t meet too many friendly “bodybuilders” but it’s very rare to find powerlifters that aren’t willing to work in or share advice and routines. When I got into powerlifting I was blown away that the guy who offered to mentor me was a multiple world record holder and took time to teach 17 year old nobody me all the ins and outs and technique. Ever since then I’ve been willing to help out anyone who’s interested in learning and who’s not just trying to waste my time. And like @Hyde I get stoked when someone hits big weight, especially if it’s a goal they’ve wanted to hit for a long time or a new record or something.

Thanks @SkRaw85

So while doing overhead press yesterday I tweaked my neck, didn't seem too bad as I always have a little pinch in my neck in that spot, finished my workout and felt great the rest of the day, woke up today and was in a lot of pain. Neck is really stiff, I can move it but the pain is 9/10 and has been contonius all day, took some Tylenol, ibuprofen and even tried some topical cbd pain cream, nothing's helping. I hope I just strained it and it goes away, I've had this before but never this painful. So until it goes away I'm not training, if it lasts more then 3 days I'm dropping all gear and going to a dr

I powerwashed a house yesterday after the workout which I'm sure didn't help but I got a really good bicep pump from holding the sprayer all day with 1 arm while leaning off a ladder, thought it was funny, snapped a pick in a dirty reflection of a window.

Rest that neck up. Usually safest to take it easy the week after a max anyway.

Ya, well, I dove right into a heavy workout, worked up to 165x3 strict press, followed up with bench working up to 295x4 incline 185x20 ect. Bad idea

Well, its just as stiff and painful as yesterday, woke up every 20min or so last night. Had to reschedule another job today too. I'm pulling the plug for multiple reasons, #1 is worrying about the neck. I'm sure it's nothing to serious but of course I gotta worry. But also, I don't wanna waste a bunch of gear over the next week or 2 just to decide later that I gotta call it quits. I'm dropping everything other then testosterone and I think I'm going to do 1/2 cc 2x week for the next 2 months. Eat healthy, let my body heal up. Once the neck feels good I may experiment with some peptides. So any peptides guys, tell me what you like and why. I know I can maintain my strength as long as my neck gets better fast. I'm tempted to put on a neck brace and do light high rep workouts, like 4x25 on everything but... I don't wanna risk it either. Kinda depressed but il figure it out
