my highschool had db's up to 200.

i wish i never graduated ;)

from a football stand point, i'm told incline bench is better but i get mixed reviews about bench and d.b.'s

what's your opinion?
200lbs, good god, at a high school? I would love to do shrugs with 200lbs Db's, because that would probably be the only thing I could do with them.

About the BB vs Db in terms of your athletic performance concerns. In order to appeal to what's the most useful on the field, I wouldn't put so much thought on variations of pec strength. Your chest strength is about a fraction in relevance to squats, dead lifts and variations of power movements. However, regardless of whatever underlining data there might be to favor BB or Db for football purposes or even the flat vs incline concern, when you're tested during a Combine, it's the flat BB Bench, and until you've made the team, I'd suggest becoming proficient at the flat BB Bench.

The differences between two similar lifts are usually not a very significant variation and a 2-4% difference wouldn't outweigh the reality that Combines don't test your Db press.

I've actually never heard of steak fried chicken either, now that I think about it, but I have heard of deep fried twinkies and deep fried Snickers Bars at the L.A. County Fair.

Appetite Oppression

I accidentally missed my second meal by 40 min. The appetite suppression off of 1 cap is strong, 2 caps is you better set a timer, because the thought of food is a distant, distant voice. Sheeesh.

I think the only way you could over-eat on 2 caps of SX, are with tears rolling down your face from the pain of force-feeding.

-I think over time it will be hard to argue a better supplement to take during a cut than SX. Appetite opression is where it is at for sustained fat loss.

-On another note.....have y'all seen Duece Bigalo? The only reason I ask is it was on last week and all this talk of steak reminds me of a scene with the big black lady(man?).....Duece says this is a mistake........black lady(man) says did you say steak?

-I tried to put that video on here from youtube, but I don't know how...

HUH???
That statement needs quantifying. WILLPOWER is where it is at for sustained fat loss. Combined with smart dietary approach, and exercise. PERIOD.
No knock on SX by any means, but I for one don't want to oppress my appetite. I like my food..and my food works for me!
Food is not the enemy! ;)

I think both statements have a truth about them, depending on your level of experience.

As of lately, I'm more so in Snag's shoes. The diet discipline is established and well solidified and as a result of multiple controlled portions throughout the day, I rarely over-eat, with the exception of cheat meals.

However, I would argue there are more people who are a much greener to cutting and do not utilize the 5-8 meals a day approach, where some appetite control can be a very effective element. Especially if you're not used to low carb diets, where it takes time for the body to feel satiated for any period of time.

Discipline, persistence and a willingness to sacrifice are cultivated virtues, that once established, no supplementation is "necessary" (only helpful) but before that cultivation sets in, over time and experience, the element of appetite is one of the prime challenges to overcome.

For a veteran like Snag, food is not an issue because he's a well oiled machine when it comes to diet knowledge and diet discipline, but speaking for the fat kid trapped inside of my body, I can say for certain that appetite suppression is helpful, especially when my carb intake was too low to feel satiated for more then 40 min in the beginning.

After experiencing the results of your labor, the discipline and sacrifice becomes second nature and your whole psychological approach completely transforms, breaking discipline is much, much less of a threat, but like many people who have not developed that level of inherent motivation and discipline, giving into hunger pains is a much greater challenge.

My principles and ideas on cutting, sides 100% with Snag's perspective, but I also strongly believe in the usefulness of appetite suppression to start the process.

In all honesty, even today, if I were to transition from a bulk to a cut, I don't know if I could make that transition successfully, without the "initial" use of an appetite suppression.

Personally speaking, the bulk meals I cook are not always my friend. Some turn out good, some have to be endured or swallowed like a pill to bypass the taste buds.

Food that didn't turn out right is a mighty potent form of appetite suppression as well.

-I agree with you Willpower first. I was exagerating to emphasize how awesome SX is. If your goal is to lose bodyfat then willpower plus no appetite from SX I beleive will be a great combination over time for fat loss. If you have less temptation to eat bad plus the drive to lose fat that is a winner.

I cannot afford steak :( only things in my kitchen are oatmeal, PB, chicken, veggies, wheat bead, and some jelly.
Is the SX a good appetite suppressant? compared to others you have used...Im going to start MeltDown in 2 weeks. How does anyone feel about Creatine for a lean bulk? Mono or ethyl ester?

Papaya you say? Mmmmm, sounds like it'd be a very exotic flavor, I've never tried or heard of that, but it sounds amazing!
Yeah, take an ounce or two of Papaya and mash it over the top of the beef, then stab with a fork repeatedly. Flip it over and do the same to the other side, then let it sit for about 20-30min. Broil on low for ~20min, then High for 10min. Salt well and enjoy!

The papaya contains a large amount of Papain, a protease used in many digestive enzyme supplements. When spread over the top of a meat, it begins to degrade the protein into shorter peptides - tenderizing the meat.

There isn't a whole lot of flavor from the papaya, just a buttery smooth, soft cut of steak :food:

Damn, and the recipe even serves a specific purpose, now THAT'S anabolic cooking. Not bad for an albino gorilla.

LOL this turned into a thread about meat
Oh yeah, foods in general and ESPECIALLY steaks are always a welcomed topic.

True story: Did you know that some high-end sushi spots serve Raw Kobe Beef slices? I don't know about that. I'm on board with the sushi in general, but completely raw steak? Kobe nonetheless. I don't know. I like my steaks rare when it's a thin steak, and I like my thick steaks medium rare, so I'm okay with rareness, but doesn't completely uncooked sort of translate to zero or minimal taste, as far as steaks are concerned?

:jaw: - I just had a rare steak. :D
I wish I could enjoy it. I can't enjoy a lot of goodies due to my pickyness. For example: seafood.

I almost vomit at the thought of seafood. And, seeing whole fish in markets with their eyes all big and googly has not made it better. I really want to get into some type of fish for the omegas, but I'm scawed.
