Becoming one with The ONE

ugh, I overdid dinner last nite again. went to bonefish grill, me + the wife split bang bang shrimp and bacon wrapped scallop appetizers, ceasar salad, an 11oz sirloin, jasmine rice, key lime pie and creme brulee.

209 this morning... so today is day 10, up 8lbs....

Dude., your a lucky SOB,...I miss Florida so so much, lol I enjoyed going to BFG! so 10 days up 8 lbs? nice..now you were doing a recomp correct..any BF lost do you think? will we be blessed with any updated pics today?
 
Well, crap, lemee see if i can get some pics, if not i'll try for tomorrow morning. I am definitely still gaining some vascularity + definition on my arms. I'm guessing that with normal eating today i'll be at 207-208 tomorrow. I generally dont eat that heavy that late, so a bit of it is just water + food weight.

zottman curls superset with one arm db triceps ext 4 sets of 12

noticed last nite one of my shirts fitting "funny" around the shoulders + chest :)

Yeah, i'm in Tampa, which is sort of a unique city IMO. Honestly for its size (city of tampa is under 400k people, the whole Tampa Bay Area is around 50 miles by 30 miles and still has under 1 million) it has possibly one of the most competitive restaurant markets in the US and has spawned more national chains than any area based on size. Outback and Hooters come to mind immediately, but there are a good 4-5 more. Recently (last 10 years or so) there has been a nice influx of middle eastern folks which has added some width + depth to foods from that area. Some nice indian + arabic grocery stores + restaurants now.

The key lime pie wasn't much closer in terms of being quality cals either :D part of why we split things, help mitigate the damage :D

Key Lime Pie! My moms fav! I love that area. I spent a month last summer down in Miami filming Home Made Simple for T.L.C. It was fantastic. I know its a ways from your area but still, the food incredible.

I got an agent and landed the T.L.C. gig and it's been slow lately but I'll never givin' up on going national. My show is great but I want much more. I love it man. You should check it out sometime. Yeah, miami has some nice stuff, but I really hate the crowding. What I could use is some more argentinian places here locally, I'd love a nice parillada at my table grilling. My wife is from puerto rico (grew up there till she was 15) so we have a tendency to eat a bit of south american + carribean flavors even tho she can't cook worth a **** herself. i happened to travel a lot for work to the pacific northwest, so really gained an appreciation for their different seafood and cooking techniques too. and we've always been fans of asian foods, pity but there isn't one of the japanese bbqs here. There are teppanyaki places, but none of the ones with the open fire grill at your table (or any of the korean ones like that either).

yeah, I was sorta thinking that too. and makes sense from teh way that shirt fit last nite. was kinda weird, as i'd move my arms eating the shirt would shift and suffle around on my upper back/shoulders in an odd way :D last time I wore it wasn't like that
 
diet WAY more back on track today, healthy pancakes for breakfast (homemade of course), natty pb + apple butter on whole grain sugar free bread for lunch, quinoa + shrimp for dinner with clean snacks between. man the shrimp came out perfect tonite, shrimp and scallops i frequently have a problem with overcooking. Well, pork chops too.

I tried those zottman curls when I did arms yesterday. I did preacher curls superset with 25 pounders and holy **** my arms were pumped up

yeah, all my photos are 100% relaxed (well other than the back double bi). I do that because it seems more consistent to have no muscle tension than if i flex because its not always consistent then with slightly different angles, etc. I should look for some "learn to pose" videos
 
i got all mixed up with my schedule, thought today's choices were off, legs or shoulders, and decided to do shoulders, but looked back and realized its either off or legs. not really feelin legs, so I guess its an off day. its either that or do chest again today, legs tomorrow, off wed, and then switch back to thurs, chest again fri. i really want to get more gains in my chest, but i'm not sure whether hitting it hard 2x so close together is really optimal

im in the same boat. I hit chest hard saturday, and back hard yesterday. I got a buddy comming to the gym with me which is the only reason why I am considering chest so I can get a spot and see how much I can lift =x. Other than that I cant decide between legs or shoulders lol
 
went with legs, but didn't quite work out well. did

4 sets of 10 of squats superset with calf raises

but by the end of that my lower back was bothering me, and my calves were super pumped. sunday had been the first time i'd done the db deadlifts in a while, so not totally surprised my back is iffy. but it means i dont want to do leg curls and aggravate it more, and with the calves all super-pumped i dont feel like lunges or step ups either, so i'm calling it a day.

When I feel that full, I always try to do some stretches, usually relieves some of the "my stomach is going to explode" feeling
 
good idea, my wife has one of those big ole pilates balls in the bedroom, i'm gonna try doing stretches on that

do you think THE ONE is affecting your appetite?
 
oh absolutely :D but usually its not quite this bad. but today I basically had a mutligrain bagel + ff creme cheese at 730 with coffee, 2 whole eggs + 6 whites at 9, then nothing till almost 1. So I think it may be more from me skipping snacking in the middle
 
Easy do you think a person could make really good lbm an loose bf% if they ate like 2500 cals a day and still worked out or does this stuff just make you wanna eat an eat? I notice some ppl saying they are just frickin stuffed to the gills from eatin so much. I know they say you gotta eat to get big but can you eat less just not like 3500 plus cals a day, an recomp an get good lbm gains IYO? Just wondering cuz i also see posts of ppl eatin like 2500-3500 cals an still feeling strong.
 
yeah, i'm averaging out to around 2800. i'm hitting that with 5 days at 2500 and 2 at 3500 for the cheat meals. so it seems to be working as a recomp. i'm this morning after finally stopping late nite meals at day 12 and 207, which is up 6lbs at that.
 
did chest today. note no off day :D so this was a 5 day split done in 5 days, then restarted. I may take a rest day after this round.

chest

flat bb bench superset with squeeze press 5 sets of 10
db pullover superset with flat fly 4 sets of 10
incline db press superset with incline fly 3 sets of 10

and i bet this will hurt tomorrow :D

it doesn't seem like it from measuring tape :D hard to say for sure though, with added food intake and particularly more carbs comes more bloat :P

this was one of the first pictures where I pulled my pants down so I didn't get that "muffin top" look, so I think thats why in retrospect. I probably should just get pants + underwear that arent that tight but it helps remind me not to keep gorging :D

I feel that I've noticed a bit of fat loss around my midsection, specifically my lower back which has always been a problem area for me. Have you noticed anything like this while on your run?
 
it feels leaner standing up, but the measuring tape says its not. Hard to say tho, because my food intake (and particularly carbs + fiber) is quite a bit up over normal. my definition in my leaner areas (forearms, shins/calves) is noticeably better. even the bottom of my quads is a hair. I think i just overall have too much fat left and have too high a natural estrogen level so my body fights to hold onto it
 
i was 209 today on waking, you can see how much my weight varies just on eating patterns. Was supposed to be back, but i neither felt like doing back nor really had time this morning. So i can either do back at lunchtime, or just sort of work in my bis/tris a bit early in the rotation. or take the day off, as i didn't take a day off between the last 5 days worth of the split and starting this one. I'd rather not take the day off :D
 
so went with back :)

wide grip pulldowns superset with db shrugs 5 sets of 10

machine rows superset with good mornings 4 sets of 10

went heavy with the pulldowns and rows, really was struggling to hit 10. on the rows that just about puts me at a pr, not quite on the pulldowns
