Oh noez! I got 1/10th ma repz now!!

j/k. Never really saw the point in the rep system. Not to sound like a spoiled-sport for never having that high rep points, but I think it's always been better to trust a person based on their words/actions than go by some little dots. If I want to congratulate someone for a good post, I'll reply.

And btw, thanks to the 250,000 people who repped me for that image post I put up. ;)
 
Rep is easy to get..you get points every time you post. Want more? Have quality posts. Not that hard :D
 
The rep system does have some merit on a board like this. There are people that take it too seriously, but I guess it does help give the member base an idea of those that put forth the effort and time to help the community.

I did like the shout box as well...
 
Shoutbox was too tough to monitor...

I liked when I was naive enough to have my AIM SN up under my profile. Being stalked by little pervs was really sweet. NOT!!!

I know what you mean about the rep system and how it can be a help for newbies. I guess I've just grown up a bit and come to value a different value system. There are those folks around here whom I trust for information, and there are those that I wouldn't. The latter are few and far between, which is why I've always called AM 'home away from home-forum'.

I know exactly what you mean, Tim. If you've been here long enough you know who is who; and who is helpful on this forum. This community has plenty of quality members.

The rep system is useful, but can be an extension of the 'e-penis.' haha.
