So, at what time does that alarm go off to make you get up? If you tend to be up after 30 min. past the last hour posted, simply select the following time (e.g. you normally wake at 8:45am, select the '9:00-9:30AM' option)

(the preceding assumes you actually get up when your alarm goes off) :D

We may have to add two more options for the early/earlier birds :think

Until I came to the US, I'd been getting up between 2.30-3.15am daily since I was 13 years old.

Both answers you would know if you've ever followed any of my logs.

Why did I get up so early?
I started becoming serious about cycling at 13. Training would take up to eight hours a day; therefore some had to be done before and after school. When I left school, I worked 60-80 hours a week, starting at 5.30am for split and double shifts; therefore I did my cardio before work. Training/sport was - and still very much is - my life and it started my day.

Why did it stop when I came to the US?
Coming to the US put my entire schedule out of whack, and I was up all night and all day, sleeping here and there with no structure, and often not at all - which would have been ok if I'd been here only as long as planned. I didn't plan on staying here, and because I study and work from home (with the exception of my night job), I still haven't gotten back into a regular pattern - which I seriously NEED to.

I do more before 6:00AM that most people do all day.

Been up at 3:15AM for about the last 10 yrs.

Yeppers - it'd feel LATE at 9am, LOL.

I want to get back into that schedule - it's the most effective for me.

You're all making me feel self-conscious about waking up between 6am and 10am depending on the day.
Retail and the crazy schedules that it brings yields a crazy sleeping schedule.
However, I can say between 7-9 hours a night, every night. :)

this is how I feel getting up at 4. I am very productive before leaving for work at 6.

I have started to get back into the habit of getting to bed early and rising early as well. In bed by 10 or 11pm and up by 7 or 8am the latest. I am able to take advantage of the day and get more done. Plus, it makes it easier on me to take in all the calories I need, get my workouts in efficiently and study. Definitely don't want to go back to my old lifestyle of waking up late (11am-1pm) after a long night of partying (in bed by 2:30-4am).

5:30a, every morning. Importantly, no alarm, no clock in bedroom, no light in bedroom. Sleep and general recovery has been amazing since making these changes.

Discuss. lol

haha well, I'm at the tail-end of a clearance process that pretty much has my hands completely tied until it's granted (for a number of reasons).

BUT, the positives include (1) consistently getting 8-9 hours of sleep every night, (2) waking up naturally instead of to that shrieking ******* alarm noise, (3) having plenty of time to spend with training and nutrition, (4) having plenty of time to do my other hobbies, (5) expand my knowledge in a couple areas of interest (nutrition, statistics), and (6) maintaining relatively low stress all day.

Also the negatives (which might go overlooked) include (1) having no damn income! .. and my finances are slowly dwindling and I don't qualify for unemployment or any of those entitlements, (2) having plenty of time to finish my thesis (nope, it's a negative), (3) birds go TSOO-TSOO-TSOO making laser noises outside my window while dogs bark constantly from 9AM until I get out of bed (and then they stop), (4) not working is nice occasionally, and this will sound stupid, but it legitimately starts to get boring on a tight budget; once you've cleaned your entire house and everything in it, you're limited regarding activities when you're playing with pennies.

I'm sure there are more to each but they get progressively more minuscule and less significant. Now, not having a job AND having some cash to play with? I'd be doing this => :dance2:

2:30 PM

9.00 am on non work days.

7:30 on work days

I get up early in the morning before the shine arises..
The reason to wake up early is that i exercise daily in the morning.

8:19....yah I'm a little OCD. I really wanna wake up at 8:20, but I need around 60 seconds of lying there wondering what just happened before I can get my feet out of bed, so I set the alarm accordingly.
