Volcom’s, Controlled Labs NEW White Flood CAPS (Sponsored TESTER)

Haha, yeah I feel ya (uh, no homo) on the "no homo" thing. I never was hip to it till I came (no homo) on this site, and I noticed it runs rampant around here. Thanks for sharpening my head (NO HOMO!) with the history of the phrase. It's all good..

BTW - that first video was gay (no homo).. actually, it was very homo..
Yeah, the first video was totally homo (no homo). Man, it's so hard (no homo) not to play this game when it arises (no homo).

Ya that first video scared the hell out of me. I would have had to shut it off if it was any longer. That dude at the end grabbed the other dudes shoulders...ewwaahh!!!

Pfffft, oh sh!t..

Tried to shoot some luv your way Shaddow (no homo) but the AM bot said I've shot my wad (NO HOMO!!) your way too much, gotta spread some around..

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to shaddow again.

Uhhh.. :run:

Lots of innuendos up in here. It's hard (no homo) to come (no homo) away sane after it all. :fool2:

No "no homo"??
Good eye there snag!! I totally missed the UP in here. And I could have even used the IN in innuendo. DOH!! Damn! I may be getting old. :frustrate:toofunny:

Might havea few more guys jumping in, I've linked this from the NP subsection on white flood. I didn't post it in my thread, but I found it funny how White Flood tablets are supposed to save you from having to drink lots of water, yet the instructions are "Take 8 Tablets with at least 16-20 oz. of water 45 minutes preworkout" It's like White Flood, sans taste!

Nice!

Most supps are enhanced by increased fluid intake, preferentially H2O of course, but the body itself functions more readily & superiorily than one in a dehydrated state anyway. All of those WF-type of supps will function better on increased water intake imo, I don't care what the claim otherwise is..

You're incline hammer pressing considerably more weight with the Viking Grip vs. the standard grip. Is that because it feels physically easier to push more weight?

Hell of a rest day there, bro. :fool2:

I can push 4 plates on the standard grip for 8 on a good day, but more often then not, I hit 6, but I can Viking Press 10 rather easily, so I am stronger at the Viking Grip then standard, however, I'm not 100lbs stronger as my numbers reflect. I performed Viking Press first, so the standard grip, which obviously follows the movement quite intimately will suffer dramatically. Had I performed standard grip first, I could have still gone as high as 4 plates, but it would have only been for 8 reps, rather then 10. With that said, I can't perform 410lbs (4 & a quarter) on the incline hammer standard grip, like I can Viking grip.

For my length of arms, the Viking Grip has greater Chest/Shoulder emphasis, while the Standard grip has a greater Chest/Tri's emphasis, because I drop my shoulders on chest presses (just like how Warren Branch does his pressing movements).

Post No Homo World

Me too. I didn't know about no homo until about a year ago, if that.

However, we now live in a post No Homo society, so even if you think it's dumb, homo is simply implied, following a potentially gay comment, no matter how arbitrarily general it may be, such as, "I squeezed one out to your personal avi," unless you put no homo at the end of that one, people will assume the worst.

Or even trivial bro-compliments, like, "you look swole" and you respond with something as innocent as, "that gave me a boner" unless you put no homo at the end of that, people will raise their eyebrow conspicuously and think, "I don't know... if you read that the wrong way, that could sound borderline bromo sexual, good thing I know this guy"

My personal pet peeve is when you PM a buddy, "send me some nudes" and if you don't put, NO HOMO, then they get all... whooooa, that's sounding mighty bromo-sexual" whatever, its a post No Homo World, what can you do.

I <3 Elisha Cuthbert!

Niiiice!!:woohoo:

mmm mmm mmm, a sexy delight she is !

No DOMS, or at least, very SLIGHT DOMS from yesterdays incline smash. I was certain I'd be sore, whenever I "open" with a legitimate bench performance, that will usually seal the DOMS deal, but I'm fine today.

I'm really enjoying the sense of well being from dosing WF throughout the day, I'm going to hate to see it leave once all my doses are relegated to pre-workout.

Question, are there any supplements other then the ganje that perpetuates this same feeling of well being?

relora is my first thought

and yes, Elisha is quite sexy. I wished I could start a poll within my thread, I'd want to see who would win in desirability contest between

ELISHA CUTHBERT

vs.

MEGAN FOX

caught me haha:rolleyes: yeah stoked put me in a great mood and relora kept me very happy

no prob bud. its cheap as hell too

Feelings of wellbeing; PEA @ 2+ grams dosages will have you feel great for 45 minutes or so, followed by still a increased mood, feeling more condident, better, and more social awareness and skills. Add some ganja in there, and wow ! :woohoo:

Personally, I LOVED AdrenaLEAN; NO other thermo or stim combination gave me a better mood, focus or feeling better. I think I'd rate AdrenaLEAN @ 3-4 caps each dosing a much better [and more cost effective] product than PURE PEA in terms of feeling of well-being. I hope NutraPlanet has another sale on Adrenalean for $19.99 with a shirt or hat. I'd buy 5 of them, probably !

I've taken Adrenalean/Ephedrine/Yohimbine HCL before, perhaps there was too much other stuff going on in there for me to appreciate the feeling of well-being effect.

Or maybe life is just chill right now? Could be just that.

I do!! :fool2:

So you didn't get the well-being effects off of the AdrenaLEAN.. Hmm, perhaps you went overboard with stims ?! I mean, combining it religiously with some ECA and some bam-what Yohimbine ?! .. I bet you'd love it's effects enough by itself, but then again, I remember you and your ways of 'the more, the merrier' back in the hey-days of Spring ! haha

Very true, I think I was just too overwhelmed with everything else to be able to enjoy the positive side effects of Adrenalean.

GHB bro. Used to be some stuff around couple yrs. back called Zen, OMG that sh!t would rock your world! Then that stuff got kinda hard to find for awhile, but it's out there, you just gotta look for it (G-based product I'm referring to).

Day 6; No Mojo, but that's alright

Today's workout was a hard fought one, I felt like I had nothing from the beginning, but as I pushed through I started to feel better and better. White Flood seems to be the only thing that allows that elevation with workout progression. Usually, when I begin my workout in a zombie state, I perform like a zombie and finish like a zombie, however, I felt myself picking up as I progressed. I wasn't 100%, but I performed much better then I felt.

The reason my mojo was out today is because it was suppose to be my second rest day, which I lost the fight against and worked out anyway.

Working out 6 days in a row isn't THAT extreme, but it's compounded by my schedule of 5:30am to 9-10:00pm everyday, so forfeiting rest days REALLY take a toll on me. During the summer it wasn't unusual for me to go 10 straight days (not smart, but stubbornly or retardedly motivated), but I had all the time in the world to get a full 8 hours. Now, I'm lucky to get 5.

Either way, the White Flood did me good, it helped me push through a hurdle that historically I don't overcome. I started off in a zombie state and ended up respectfully satisfied.

Of all the days it would be for me to be in a zombie state, it was back day at school, using all the foreign back machines with their excitingly, slight alteration of angles compared to my local gym that usually guarantees me a nice set of DOMS to jam with.

Free Weight Loaded, Rows
225lbs x 10 reps
275lbs x 8 reps
295lbs x 7 reps
315lbs x 6 reps

Lat Pull Downs - Close, Underhand Grip
180lbs x 10 reps
195lbs x 8 reps
210lbs x 6 reps

Machine, Lat Pull Downs - Viking Grip Invalid Link Removed
180lbs x 10 reps
180lbs x 8 reps
195lbs x 8 reps

Machine, Lat Pull Downs - Standard Grip
195lbs x 10 reps
195lbs x 8 reps
225lbs x 8 reps
240lbs x 8 reps
255lbs x 6 reps

Not great in standard terms, but amazing by zombie standards. I'm very mentally acute right now, which is good because I'm off to a 7-10pm class.

I'm definitely feeling the sense of well being (apart from normal post workout endorphines). My mind is awake and I'm feeling generally enthusiastic, regardless of FedEx giving me an enema with a webster's dictionary this morning by effing up my delivery.

I like the sound of "Zen" I will definitely go on a search, thanks for info Chef!

Hey Volcom, how long did it take to finish that workout, how much rest between sets, and wtf is a viking grip!?

Hey Volcom, how long did it take to finish that workout, how much rest between sets, and wtf is a viking grip!?

That all took probably 45 min. I don't rest very long between sets, normally 1-2 min. 2 if I'm particularly exhausted, but I average 1 to 1 and a half min. With exercises that require free weight, then the amount of time it takes me to grab the weight and load it is about as much time as I take. After that, I sit, take a few big, deep breaths, mentally prep and hype myself and go at it right away. The only time I take extensive rests, like 3-4 min are for barbell deads. The loading of plates is a pain in the arse and the mental prep time takes longer.

Viking Grip: Take the Hammer Incline Press. Viking Grip is when you place your hands on the outer bar, the outer bar which the handles are attached to, so you're holding the grip out VERY wide and the focus seems to be more chest/shoulder then chest/tri's.

Viking Grip as we've defined it, is anytime you take the grip that is off the handle and usually on the machine itself, usually the bar which the handle bars hang off of.

Take a Hammer Row, rather then holding onto the grip bars, you would reach out and grip onto the outer bar....etc.

Day 7

Today has definitely got to be a rest day. I couldn't wake up this morning for the life of me and I fell asleep in my car in the parking lot when I pulled up for work.

I'll probably try to convince myself to do SOMETHING tonight, but I'm really hoping I let myself rest up. Obviously I'll still be loading my system with the White Flood, but I'll need to fight the urge to lift tonight.

I can be antsy and stubborn about letting myself rest as is, but that stubborness is compounded when I'm logging.

I'd also like to add that my lumbar is acting up again (right on Q with the beginning of the new log). My seem to have a loggers curse in regards to my lumbar. Whenever, and I literally mean, whenever, I start a new log, within the first two weeks, my lumbar becomes aggravated to the point where I cannot perform dead lifts. I think this will be the 3rd or 4th time "in a row" this has happened. I've mentioned to you guys that I've been performing a modest weight for deads in order to cater to my lumbar in hopes of slowly building back my lumbar abilities to sustain heavy deads. Even still, I'm feeling lumbar tenderness, a real lack of stability and a slight pain depending on how I bend over or reach.

Apart from that, all is well and be sure to wish Thomas (Viking) a speedy recovery.

That made me laugh.

Glad to see you take a decent rest in between sets, too. So many people say they only rest 30-45secs, but I honestly think they're lying, and if they are doing it, they are definitely not allowing for optimal growth. How can you push yourself if the lactic acid is still built up and preventing further drive in your sets?

SEVERE DOMsicles from yesterdays back workout. My lats are tender as all hell. I love it! The machines at my local gym don't hit my back the same way. The equipment at school offers a slight enough change of angle to make a radical difference in how it effects my back and I love that ish! I love back DOMS the most.

My lumbar is not a case of DOMS, but a case of muscle or bone HOMO-OSITY. There are few things more frustrating then having deads as one of your favorite lifts for years, to suddenly having an ambiguously unstable lumbar.

I can do deads just fine one week, then the next session my still subpar deads puts me at the borderline of serious injury.

Oh well. Time for another dose of White Flood CAPS!

I've already spoken to Thomas. And now it is time to speak to you. You know this comes from the heart of the Thundergod. It is because I care. You're gonna have to curb your enthusiasm before it becomes your enemy. You have to recover in order to progress. People ask me how I'm able to just train 3 weight sessions per week even when I'm juicing. They seem to imply that I'm unmotivated or lazy. That couldn't be further from the truth. I'm from the old school philosophy of Mentzer and even Yates from later times. You have to train intensely or there's no point in training really. But you have to let your CNS recover between these type of sessions or you're going to wind up overtrained, injured, or sick. It's the nature of the beast. Nieztche (sp?) once said something along the lines of, "Take heed when battling monsters, that you do not become a monster yourself. For he that gazes long into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into him". I think you know what I'm trying to say here Sam. Take a step back to take 2 steps forward again. Bridle some of that enthusiasm. Bottle it up on some non-training days, and then unleash it like a river bursting through a dam on your training sessions. Rest today. Battle tomorrow. Even Berzerkers had to rest after their furious battles. They slept for days afterwards actually. This style of training takes a lot out of you. Take care my iron-brother.

Thanks for the rest prep talk Thunder. I planned on resting today, but seriously this time. I'm feeling lethargic and exhausted and although I was able to make something out of nothing yesterday, unless my only plan is to perform thumb curls, I don't think I could force another one out. I'm usually better at resting, but then there are seasons where I'm really unwise about it and rest becomes my biggest hurdle, even though I do recognize it's absolute necessity.

I normally do a 3 days on, 1 day off, "usually." Sometimes even 1 on 1 off, depending how on much I powned myself.

I'll take it easy today

Good info for those who don't respect rest between sets.

Generally on higher reps (12-15) I cut my rest down to 45-60 seconds. and low reps (1-6) around 2-3 minutes, and reps 8-12 somewhere in between.

So far which version of WF do you prefer caps or powder?

My personal preference are the CAPS, but it's a matter of conveniency rather then any differences in effect. Especially while I'm building up a tolerance to the paresthesia. I can take two CAPS rather then trying to weigh out relative mgs to 1 serving. I also prefer caps in most cases because of preciseness of servings. I have a tendency to take too much when it comes to powders and I end up burning through my buckets. Furthermore, with Creatine, there are no real consequences to going over a few grams in serving size, but with Beta-Alanine, going over means a bit of paresthetic torment. Therefore, I really enjoy the many elements of convenience of the CAPS over powder.

As for rests. The heavier the loads, the longer rests I require, too.
