Role of nutrient repartitioners in cutting

Hey all. I've been reading about these (e.g. Anabolic Pump, Slinshot, Glycobol) here and there, but I'm having some trouble coming to grips with how these items aid when a person is cutting. I understand their general mechanism (there are various ways they achieve their function), but I have no idea why people associate these with a cut.

My guess is people who have a really low carb diet to cut are concerned that their carb take-in wont be sufficient to replenish glycogen stores depleted after workouts, so instead of letting the carbs circulate and be digested for fuel, they are redirected into the cell for storage. Is this the case? Or what's behind taking these nutrient repartitioners during a cut? I must be missing something. Thanks.

Most nutrient partioners increases GLUT4 so in turn less insulin will be secreted. It also helps direct your macronutrients into your muscles and not fat cells.

I don't use them for that purpose, but to let me "get away" with not being as strict with my diet. I also dose them first thing and pre-bed, to help re no "after-effects" of poor nutrition (not the best thing to do and not recommended, but it's the truth). I like using nutrient repartitioners post-training as well, to help shuttle the nutrients quickly for recovery.

Glut4 can be activated with excercise. Ive been using a technique from Tim Feriss's book 4 hour body. Before some of my biggest meals, ill do 30 air squats, 30 stiff leg deads, 30 wall pushes and then eat. After my meal Ill walk for at least 20 minutes and then one more hour ill do the 3 excercises again. I feel less full, and still lose weight even on cheat days. Ill also take cla, green tea extract, garlic and alpha lipoic acid before most of my meals as well.

fyi, i have used pslin and anabolic pump with really good success especially with my pre workout meals.

Exactly. good post.

I really like nutrient partioners during a cut or even during a lean bulk, right now i think the best is Glycobol, i can eat tons of carbs with it and not gain any fat where im usually pretty carb sensitive.

Nice, I am reading the same book. I have only read bits and pieces here and there so far. Currently I am experimenting with his PAGG stack and mega dosing the cissus.

I picked up all my PAGG and AGG stuff at Purtian's Pride, some extra vit. D, and slow release Niacin. Id like to find a cheap source of Cissus or just bite the bullet and buy more Super CissusRx from Usp labs ( fav cissus product, but a bit expensive ). Id love to see Primordial Performance make a Cissus product in a liquavade form ( ive mentioned that many times before ).

You and I think along the same lines my friend. We definitely do need a joint support product. :)

Cheers!

I just picked up 2 tubs of cissus from Nutraplanet for mine. I am dosing it as he suggested in the book (7.2g a day) just started yestarday and gonna tril it until the tubs are empty and see how it goes. I had a hard time finding the garlic caps (the s-allyl cysteine) so i just grabbed a bottle of capped garlic oil. Hopefully it is the same but I am gonna stop by vitamin shoppe when I get time to pick up the right stuff.

I saw the price on Kyolic aged garlic and it was too much for my budget right now. I bought almost a years supply of what I needed for a very nice low price (under a 100 easily ). Ill have to look into the cissus you bought.

Thanks for the replies. So I *think* what you guys are saying is GLUT4 is preferentially expressed on skeletal muscle tissue (since these supps act to upregulate their expression or recruitment to the surface), which confuses me since I know they're expressed everywhere.

If this is the case, I guess my question is how would it be able to target GLUT4 recruitment in skeletal muscle tissue cells over adipose tissue cells?
