Onlychevy6 and Chevy6s Chick - Teams up with Muscle Gauge Nutrition

You both have made progress, I can tell. Jeff, I hadn't seen progress pics in a little while and probably missed some, so I can tell you for sure that you look much improved from the last ones I saw. Great progress to you both. Keep it up!!

Nice work you two! It's always one thing to say there is progress, but the proof is in the pics! I always like a good LOG where there's no fear of showing that you are on top of your game! Keep the hard work coming!

Could indicate some lean mass gains, Jeff - especially given the no change in waist and decrease in abdomen, with concurrent increase in girth re shoulders. Also bear in mind the time of day and after what kind of day prior you took your weight and measurements - since it can have an effect on the results.

Gotta hate when that happens - although, changing things up is NOT bad and actually HELPS most of the time re progress. Anyways, way to plough through, Jeff.

Awesome work guys, I'm still following!

Another good workout. Even completed an hour of cardio total today. Sheesh my calves were cramping up towards the end of my training and cardio. LOL. I also backed down the scoops of Alpha Rage to 2 scoops. I have been having some major issues with sleeping at night and I train at night so taking a pre workout may be hindering my sleep. We shall see. Took 2 scoops of Alpha Rage, 2 scoops of BCAA's Extended, 1 scoop of NO2XL. All lemon flavor of course.

LOL right. Thanks brother. I feel like I let myself down by not even coming close to my goal by the time my bday came. So now I have switched gears and am going for small realiastic goals instead of one big one. I don't know if it is achievable but I would like to see a 1% bodyfat drop per week for the next 7 weeks. Not sure if it will happen but it wont be from lack of trying.

If you have the will, and desire it will happen my friend. The mind is a complicated piece of machinery. I have NO doubt you will get it.

It's possible but you really have to go all out.. throw caution to the wind, just keep your protein up and BCAA's eat hyper clean...

When Jeff told me about possibly working out with her I told him I didn't want to die but I am looking forward to the challenge maybe! He didn't call me that (he knows better) and you're crazy but that was funny as heck!!

Yeah they tell me I'm crazy at work too but I see it more like the world is crazy and i'm the only one sane haha just kidding. Yeah it would be a killer workout I bet!!

Rosie she is prepping for the torture you will put her through. Lol.

Torture? Now where would you get that idea?:toofunny:

I've only had a few people be sick on me, LOL...Seriously though, I will push my clients to make sure they challenge themselves, but I also make sure not to overdo it, especially on the first session (although they keep coming back) :D

Thank you Rosie!

No worries, Cathie - I know what having sore knees feels like and I empathize with you!

Yah you have to have an eye for when to push people and when not to.. when they start out you have to ease them into it and when you get them hooked you slowly increase the intensity... I find women often have no idea how strong they really are so you have to coax them a bit, where most young men you have to stay on them to keep the weight down and work their form. Not in all cases but generally....I like training women cuz the listen better. Older men are ok too...

Even with us as experienced athletes and trainees, we "start" out "easy" after a break and "ease" back into it - always the same for ANYone, even beginners, like periodized training, so that they build up, have easy/deload weeks, and build up again, for constant progression. Sometimes, though, it really depends on the individual. In the past I have actually preferred working with males because they are the ones that listen, where women have looked at me like I am crazy if I suggest they lift weights. Not as much anymore, but there's still the frustrating few that simply refuse because they think they'll somehow end up looking like a professional male bodybuilder, even after I explain that there's not a chance in hell that they will, using myself as an example of what weights will do and then get told "you don't even look like you work out"!

Yah that's the first myth I kill... so you find men listen better, that's interesting. I guess it's more of a gender competitive thing perhaps...

"Older men are ok too.... Please Doug... I beg of you to try and tell my Dad anything, he knows more than every person on this entire forum about everything, but maybe I'm just comparing your statement to one bad apple! In the words of my father... "When I was your age I would or I could" (everything better than anyone) was the fastest, strongest, toughest, biggest ladies man, you name it, he was the best when he was young!!!

I don't know, because then there are males who're either starting out and think just because it's advertised or in a magazine it's "God" (for example, usually the younger males or teenagers in the gym, doing what their mate does because they saw it in a magazine or a top bodybuilder/athlete does it, but having no idea what they're doing and cheating with ever rep, etc.) or the ones who have been training for years and still don't really know what they're doing (for example, there's a guy in the gym who always comes up to me and asks what he can or has to do to see his abs and get rid of his gut, telline me how he's been training for years and is a trainer and knows so much, yada yada yada, almost as if he expects a different answer from my "you have to get leaner" - just looking at him you can see that he is >20% bodyfat, and for a male that's high - every time he asks, etc.) who don't think a petite female knows anything and will just do whatever they want, regardless of what you tell them - although I've changed a few mindsets like this with some of my clients and I'm very proud of them.

Just one of many reasons when I started training others, I used to work predominantly with ATHLETES, because they're the ones who really want it and are willing to listen.

But, there are all kinds of people - I won't work with everyone who asks or appoaches me (even if they'd be paying clients) and are very selective with my clients now.
