Can really tell a difference now that I am not taking any pre-workout supps.
Girl don't underestimate yourself, you are stronger than you think!Definitely impressed!
You too Chevy, you're doing great.
DreamWeaver said:Yah pre-workouts are so addictive, I don't want to give up the intensity they give. I have to watch it though, I can hammer on a pre-workout and if I keep that pace I eventually start to wear down. Have to know when to step back.
I am a big stim junkie myself. The gym is just not nearly as fun without them!
So now the count down starts. Goodies are on there way. Couldn't have come at a better time. Need me some protein and bcaa for this up coming weekend.

Thanks bro. Time will heal everything.
You can dedicate your next workout to him, I am sure he's proud of you...

It seems fitting that I am doing something called a warrior dash when he was a warrior for over half his life. With all the battles he fought. This run will not be about time as I am also doing it with a female cousin. But it is about finishing and not giving up. R.I.P. Uncle Jimmy

I would love to run a warrior dash! Sounds like it would be fun.

It was fun for sure. While they were announcing each heat. It was said that this year was 3x harder than years before because we have a good amount of rain over the last couple weeks. I will do another again. I am now looking into the touch mudder. They have one in Austin and they say the average time to complete is 3 hours. :banghead:... I will say this it is not all about strength. Endurance plays a huge part in this, I will be in much better shape endurance wise for the next one. Two of the females that I was with want me to run in the Dallas one this April. I have not committed YET.... If I do it so with Cathie aka Chevy6s Chick. So lots of training has to be done to get there.
Sorry for your loss Jeff.
Congrats though on your finish! My tough Mudder is about 5 weeks out and right now I have a cold and can't do any cardio! Not good. Lol.
My training for the Mudder is about intervals and endurance. They actually have a recommended training program on their website. Pretty cool stuff.
Glad you had fun, Jeff
You can most defintiely do the Tough Mudder and complete it. Yes, endurance will be important. Other aspects of fitness will also have their role.
If you're going to do one (or the other), set up your training programme to reflect your training specifically for this - i.e. as if you were an athlete preparing for a "peak" competition and this is YOUR peak competition, structuring everything you do towards it and building on it, as an athlete builds and periodizes their training towards their "peak" event of the season.

Just like if I was training to play ball again. Which who knows and old guy like me might do a Brett Favre and come out of retirement. LOL
