Old Fugger Ready to take on all challengers...Transfomation time!!!

Ok conservative workout last night but I showed good strength on some exercises and backed off on some and just worked strict form. The highlight was flat bench db press for 90 X 10, 80 X 8 and 70 X 8 for my drops. This is damn good for me considering I am down to 214.5 from last nights weigh in... I was low on energy near the end though.

Later that night I went pretty hypo and grabbed a whole grapefruit cut it up and devoured it and I had a few extra egg whites and a small peice of steak. I was ravenous!! Not really cheating, more self preservation.

Woke up this morning looking very deflated, I hate this look cuz some of your muscle looks like fat...hard on the psyche, oh well carb up tomorrow....

Posing practice felt pretty flat last night too... just a bad finsih to my day.

Morning cardio session was a bit better than yesterday but I am feeling pretty weak so I will have to watch it. If I go hypo there is a whole fridge full of juice about 15 steps away from my desk...

Oh and I had to walk 5K into a strong wind full of ice pellets this morning, needless to say I was not amused... fuggers hurt when they hit you in the face. Fortunately my hood blocked most of them ... ain't spring grand here in the north!! Worst sping in 30-40 years...

Like I said carb up tomorrow only the one am fasted cardio session tomorrow morning then I take my Epson salts bath when I get home from work and get my base tanning coat... Pics Friday at 2pm after the bronzer is applied...

Man that damn global warming is kicking our ass this year... NOT!!!! Oh damn I just went all Wayne's World on you!

Well just remember I am not peaking for another 3 weeks so you're going to see massive improvment but it will get better....:yup:
Even a 3 weeks out is going to look retty dang awesome though.
I am looking forward to the results Doug, you seem to have peaked at just the right time.

Yeah should be very interesting.

I wouldn't say I've peaked like I said and I knew that was never possible in 15 weeks, all I am trying to do for these pics is slightly improve on what I did last year. Now that should happen due to the extra size I am carrying and I seem to be just as lean. (hard to say) Peaking will continue after this contest if I decide to persue. Don't want people to expect too much with these pics, like I said I am just trying to get within striking distance... Now when I do peak that will be something....

Oh yah I am exstatic about it, look how far I came and with the chance to get leaner than I ever have in my life...pretty exciting stuff. Just want to get that shot...208 carbed up and flushed at about 5% or just under!!! Just once please!!

That will be so sick! I am routing for you all the way I want to see you take the Masters, and Grand Masters at your show. Then give those young punks a bit of showmanship during the overall pose down.

Yah will be sweet if I can pull it off...

I just noticed your affiliation, I just got rid of some Finaflex Ripped this morning. Was pretty excited to use it but decided not to do any more DS. I bet my buddy is gonna love it though...

Yep, that was a very good product, it is a shame the damn FDA had to pull the plug on the ingredients! When one ingredient falls, another will rise in its place!

You should check out some of our new product line, quality products as always my friend!

We know the old fugger can do it!!:bigok:

Totally off point, but I love your use of the term "fugger"! A good friend of mine has a son and his name is Tucker and every since he was born, I have always said $hit like, "WoW, that's the cutest little Motha-Tucker I've ever seen!" LoL

DW's use of "fugger" cracks me up all the time.

Can't wait to see these pics on Friday @ 2PM!

Yah they will be taken then but I probably won't get them till monday..

DW's use of "fugger" cracks me up all the time.

Yah I enjoy a little levity...

I think we are all excited for that :D

Yah I am both excited and aprehensive... my perception and pics may be out of sync which is often the case.

So as far as going forward to competition, what I will tollerate is a close proximity to where I was last year so I can shatter that effort. I am not interested in a mediocre performance, if I am more than one percent off of last years effort it is a no go. So this is my goal for these pics, like I keep on saying I will not be in peak condition tomorrow but I want to look like I"m 3 weeks out....that is still a miraculous reformation and all that was possible in 15 weeks. Hell I think I just went from 20% to 7-8% in 15 weeks if I'm where I hope I am.

Looking forward to the pics DW.

Looking forward to the pics DW.

Hope I don't disapoint, like I said in another thread no matter what I know I could not have done any better givein the amount of time I had. That's good enough for me no matter what happens...

Carb up like usual was fun at first now starting to get bloated... lots more to eat too.. oh well I have over an hour till I have to eat my potatoes...

So I have decided that if I go I will enter the Masters and Grandmasters ... just designed a new routine to "Sad But True" another song off the black album...

Invalid Link Removed

Wife has been giving me that best coaching I've had from her, she's been through it enough times and she's picking things up and much more helpfull

I tried to order one of the fat burning belts but they were out of stock, oh well...

Ok I'm more than full not as spilled over as I would have thought considering I took in about 1200 grams today... now to wait for it to flush I should be good by tomorrow morning sometime... I am very big right now, I need to keep this size...

Thanks for all your support TG ... thanks all of you guys, you don't know how much I rely on positive reinforcement from all my AM buddies...

Ok I look a bit smoother than I had hoped but it's not over yet still a couple hours... going to do some hard posing...

Good luck wringing yourself out. Can't wait for the pics.

Hot bath and you will be golden in the AM Doug, worked for me. 1200 grams, sounds like some good times!!!!

Good luck DW!! I wish you the best in this bro...you have certainly worked hard enough for it:cheers:

Yah I'm not sure that went very well...

I agree this was a total log with a ton of great info.

Thanks Don

Yah I filled up pretty well and flushed ok, and would have been ok in the morning

Yah I worked my azz off but things did not go smoothly at the end. I was ok for a bit then I took some icing with pslin and I'm not sure it didn't smooth me out a bit. When I got to the studio the guy had to leave the night before so the girl taking my pics had to make do setting up in her apartment. This took me off my peak time which is ok cuz it' happens all the time. Her apartment was very hot and humid and I might have overdone it with the oil mixing with the perspiration and come out looking more smooth than I really am. Just sort of all fell apart near the end. I have not seen the final pics yet so there is still hope.. I am hoping more for her than I am for myself as she worked very hard.. Funny my wife and her were oooing an awing when I hit the poses so it makes me think ... maybe I wasn't that bad, you know how we get...

I gave myself a bit of a break last night ate some pizza, had some cookies and a small bowl of potato chips, to be honest I was a bit depressed...I am not sure whether I should be yet though so I've decided to pull my socks back up and do 60 minutes of cardio this morning and another 60 late afternoon..

For diet I will go with a form of Lean gains as my method requires that I buy a bunch of specialty foods and I am not sure I will be continuing with my prep as right now I don't think I am where I need to be. The pics may tell me different.

Hang in there man! You have had an incredible run so far.

I wouldn't put a ton of faith in the pics if they come out bad. As you say there are many reasons they may not look as good as you really are.

Keep that positive attitude as it will see you through the next couple of months until your show.

However if they come out good ok great! :)

Thanks Mike, yah that's the way I have been thinking as well and they may come out better than I think they will. The show I was thinking of is 3 weeks away, I may actually just look for another show to do if I am more than 3 weeks out.

Ok so I am working it out, I will be around 2400 cals on wd's and around 2000 on nwd's carbs will still be low around 100 and 80 grams....

I will still carb up Fridays... all eating will occur between 12 and 8pm this is a bit of an experiment but it's much less expensive and should I not decide to compete then no big thing...

Did 60 minutes of cardio went very well I have good energy, slept very well last night...

Don't be too harsh on yourself, we're our own worst critics. I didn't feel great on stage this morning, but I got a lot of accolades from others on how cut and defined I was. Felt good to hear that.

I'd say continue with the prep and go for it! What's 3 more weeks in a lifetime of glory?

Keep up the good work Doug. Yeah pictures are not always accurate. still looking forward to them.

Thanks guys, yah I am going through the motions, I did 2 hours cardio yesterday, still waiting for my pics from the photographer...

am i correct that you feel your 3 weeks out, while you're getting ready for a show thats 3 weeks away? That sounds perfect to me. Considering if thats what you feel, its probably closer, dehydration and prep make all the difference.

you'll peak perfect. novices need to be ready weeks before so they can wade through all the contest prep b.s. and see what works for their bodies... you already know whats up. No test runs needed. Just getting as close to perfect as possible and execution.

You're right and pics are not that bad not great either as I was holding too much water, but I am not peaking so that does make a big difference...they'll be up soon...

Good stuff here maybe the best idea. I don't know where you are at as of yet Doug, but if you just don't feel sure then perhaps if you could find a show 6 weeks out you would know you were ready 2 weeks in advance and could coast in not feeling rushed. Life will be easier on you and that lovely wife of yours. Remember you stressing means she is. If you feel like you are rushing to meet that deadline she is going to feel that urgency / panic too. On top of that you are coming off of bronchitis and other things, so definitely take a look at the big picture and not just what you see in the pictures. Ask yourself, do you want to MAYBE step on stage 6%, or do you wan't to definitely step on stage at 5%. Don't pick your show based on convenience of timing, pick it on the BEST timing for your current situation. Another month or so of un-rushed dieting is nothing and you can step on stage in the condition you really want to be in. Just cutting it at the weight you want isn't going to cut it if your peak week strategy leaves you a little spilled over. You can't spill over on 6% and look good on stage but you can spill over a bit at 5% and below and still look great on stage.

Can't wait to see them, will give honest feedback on them for sure.

They're up, there is no show for the time frame I was looking for so 3 week is what I have...pics are not that bad but that just has me on the fence now...

It is really a tough call there. If only 3 weeks I might opt to maintain your current conditioning or continue leaning out a bit more then work on gaining LBM while sticking in that area, or simply start recomping but not allowing the scale to go up just body fat to continue going down. You look great right now but I have my doubts regarding pulling off showtime conditioning in 3 weeks from here. You have my full support here but at the same time we never know how many more shows the ladies will punish themselves through for our ego's. If I were you I would set myself up for a show where you know beyond a shadow of a doubt you are ready 3 weeks out. Nothing to do after that but build confidence in your ability to peak just the way you want to.

Yah it's a close one, I could knock off another 8 lbs or so no problem but would that have me leaner than last year?

Can see better on the facebook pics. Assuming you only lose fat you will be bigger for sure and I honestly can't say for sure as far as leaner. You are right on the cusp, if you can get 8 lbs of fat off then I do think you will be leaner than last year. I am not 100% sure you will be exactly where you want to be for a show but there is definitely the potential to come in in the same conditioning or a little better with a good amount of extra mass in this amount of time.

You must read minds... lol ... Yah that's exactly what's got me on the fence thrown in with the fact that I was holding water in the pics as it was very humid and I screwed things up a bit..

Wife thinks I should go for it but I think she just wants to get it over with, I don't really see a show that I could do this year...

Good job getting the pictures for feedback and I commented on my favorite pose, use this one for sure! I say go ahead and go with it. whats the worst that can happen?

if anything it is a learning experience. I recommend next time around keeping leaner like close to where you are right now so you can diet more slowly. That is what I did this year and not far off from where I was in November. Yeah its less weight and less fat. Just too much stress to off 30lbs of fat. however I feel much better leaner now. I know how it is too drop a lot , it makes it more stressful and it just is not enough time. That said, Doug I think you can do amazing things in three weeks.

I am not saying stay ripped year round, Lean is the word.
