Old Fugger Ready to take on all challengers...Transfomation time!!!

Good job getting the pictures for feedback and I commented on my favorite pose, use this one for sure! I say go ahead and go with it. whats the worst that can happen?

if anything it is a learning experience. I recommend next time around keeping leaner like close to where you are right now so you can diet more slowly. That is what I did this year and not far off from where I was in November. Yeah its less weight and less fat. Just too much stress to off 30lbs of fat. however I feel much better leaner now. I know how it is too drop a lot , it makes it more stressful and it just is not enough time. That said, Doug I think you can do amazing things in three weeks.

I am not saying stay ripped year round, Lean is the word.

Yah I could get down to around where I was last year and I would be bigger, but something Chirs said... I still won't be satisfied... I need to maintain around 220 and then do 15 weeks to lose 20 lbs or so...that's the plan so I will start recomp on lean gains 2400 and 2800 cals...

That sounds like a great idea, and I think you will like that diet.

I think the pics look great BTW. maybe not show ready, but very impressive nonetheless in comparison to your befores, which is what this contest is about :thumbsup:

Thanks, I was holding a bit of water which I should have been able to get rid of but they're not as bad as I had feared. I am disapointed but I know I couldn't have done any better so I'll take solace in that. It's tough refocusing as I am used to pedal to the metal but looking forward to this dieting style..

I have a plan!! Going to do FAME East again in September, so I will recomp till June 12th right when I get back from holiday I will start my prep which gives me 15 weeks and 27 lbs less than when I started this 15 week prep...can you say.. ripped..

I am optimistic, one thing I really am happy about is my size.. go to my facebook page and look at my front double bi, that's as good as I've seen that pose on me, if I get lean then I should be able to impress...

I have went through the last few pages of this thread and even looked on your FB Doug, if they are up can you post a link to them, I am super stoked to see them! Also, everyone is 100% right... stay confident my friend, no matter whether you peaked or not, you have come an incredibly long way and you are there, you are so there!!! I have complete 100% confidence that an "Old Fugger" like you is on these boards to teach us "New-B's" a thing or two!

I agree with John Smeton about not bulking up anymore. Maybe a lean-bulk a couple times during a year.....but I mean LEAN. I'm going to do my dead-level best to stay under 10% from now on. And it's not really that hard. I like clean eating. Just got to make sure I don't take in a high surplus of calories even if they are clean.

This makes it much easier to diet on down when you get ready.

You know I don't think we have to be obsessed or fanatical about our diets. We can eat a few things here and there as long as we make sure to burn more calories than we're taking in.
There is some truth in the addage "calorie in....calorie out". I eat a little dark chocolate here and there and even a few chocolate chip cookies from time to time. But the next day I'll add a few minutes of cardio to burn those calories off. :yup:

You look fantastic, I mean I know you are a few weeks away from a show, but that is plenty enough time to dry out a little more and peak, you are spot on in my opinion!

Yah it's really about the numbers, for intance I get 2800 cals on wd's for recomp on Lean Gains... if my macro ratiios are good then what I eat is all good as long as most of what I eat is good food.. That will tighten up during a harder cut but I can see taking this late into a prep by simply adjusting calories...

Macros are around 50% protein 25 fat 25 carbs, I have been able to figure a way to get a pizza night in as well but the fat is up around 30% but the cals are still right on the money...

PCT is going so well that I am cutting out Tor now, I haven't felt this good in quite some time. Testopro is just magic on me and I have added a lot of other herbs for additional support as seen earlier in this log. I am sleeping more than I have in a long time as well. Just way less stress. I don't think I'm going to have much problem maintaining and might be able to lean up a bit, but staying the same is fine by me. 15 weeks to lose maybe another 20 lbs at most. Not a problem... I'll have that off in 12...

Diet looks good Doug, similar to how I would eat as I do evening workouts like it seems you are doing based on your meal timing. Still not sure why are you cutting out your SERM after such a short time but to each their own I guess. To give you an idea, my free test was up a lot after two weeks because of the DAA and Fadogia but my total was still under 300, I felt fine but it was not time to stop my SERM. Think about the long term as opposed to how you feel, or at least get a hormone panel to make sure you are A OK. :yup:

I just never felt shut down and the testes are huge and firm so it just didn't seem necessary. The stuff I was taking was extremely mild on me...

I didn't go on TRT until I was 45. But to each their own. I think the longer you wait....the better.

Why don't you just cycle the regular way and PCT?

Wouldn't have been an issue if I was running test and HCG, both of which I did not. Also, I did not have the proper dose of my SERM off the bat, all contributed to it being so low. I am fine now after nolva and clomid, fear not, it was poor planning/execution not the darkside taking a toll on me.

Aerosmith as a whole is just a classic band that has been around forever and still rocking it!!! AC/DC is another classic band, I'm just mad that I never got to see them Live and now I never will! :sad2:

Yah huge fan here, he does seem like a cool guy on Idol, I grew up with theire music... right from the first album I was a big fan...

Next week I have to revert to compound lifting, I am going to keep it pretty light at first though.

Remember to take as small of steps to get back to your normal weights as possible. More points of adaptation means more growth. Sure you could be extremely aggressive and get back to your old weights quickly. Then you may miss some opportunity for extra growth as well as put your joints under fire. Since they wont be used to the heavy weight and their ability to strengthen or thicken back up is slower than your muscle you want to be careful and build up the weight slower than what you can. Will be a great time to practice the slower reps and slightly shorter ranges of motion on certain exercises.

I was just thinking of this today, I am going to do just that... start low up slow...

Yah there's no hurry... I will plan to peak in week 4 but then still only to form failure, my sets will be low rep and some higher 5/5/5/8/12 but will start at 75% or so...
 
Nice, I was gonna say 75% of old working weights then add 5% a workout, then see about some micro weights for progressing even farther and longer without hitting a wall on the progress.

Very wise indeed. If you don't already, I'd suggest keeping a training log/journal at the gym with you with your weights already printed out that you will use that session. Add 5% for the next week's workout for that same bodypart. I find that if it's written down, I'm more likely to adhere to it and not throw caution to the wind and load on more 45's!! :laugh2:

More great advice, I always keep a journal/log when I am doing a serious cut or bulking phase. If nothing else it is a more accurate way of keeping track of my progress.. Great idea!

I have spoken with him and he is a very cool guy. He is not caught up in himself. I have also bumped into a couple of times riding a bike instead of some flashy sports car. I do think he has more than 1 ex LOL.
