Metroba tries out teh TestoPro's

Ok guys here's my theory on calves. You can say you just dont have good genetics but it doesnt mean they wont grow. I always used to think that until recently, I figured if a cyclist can ride 50 miles a day and have awesome calves theres no possibility of overtraining them. Nine months ago I said fcuk it I'm gonna get me some calves, I started training calves every workout. I use every routine, weight range, reps that I can come up with. And I dont just do 3 sets and done, thats bullsh!t. If you dont have calves you need to hit them hard and hit them a lot. Period. I also started doing that DC calve workout on the treadmill, now I'm getting cardio too. What have I gained on my calves so far, maybe an inch but they are getting defined and they are growing. Remember guys this isnt gonna happen overnight but in another 2 years they should look decent.
 
Yeah, they do grow but the gains on calves are never as pronounced as everything else...it just fustrates me sometimes.
 
I have that weird pacific islander gene that makes me have pretty good calves without any intentional effort :think: My soleus & gastroc have a pretty distinct split & prominence and I didn't earn that. I don't ever directly work my calves.

Todays workout was awesome! Went up on reps for everything. Db curls are still moving up slowly but I'll get there.

#'s: (working only)

Incline db curls - 60x4-3-4=11
Reverse cable curls - 2x12 (+2 reps); wrist was feeling better today...1 day at a time.
Db holds w/100's for 45 secs
stretch for 45 secs
Standing calves - 300x7 (only 5 seconds at bottom and not 15)
stretch for 60 secs each
SLDL - moved up 10lbs!! 320x4 :woohoo:
CS angled leg press - 12x9 (+7 reps!); will throw a 25 on the top next time.
Ham stretch with 135 for 45 seconds; moved down in weight because I my hams are growing faster than quads..just trying to ease up.
Quad stretch for 60 seconds

Awesome workout! Very pleased! Excited for Friday's workout! :smite:

Trust me I got my own weakness that drive me nuts. I store fat under my pecs like a like a squirrel stores nuts for the winter. I have to be under 6% not to look soft because of it. :cussing:

Oh yeah got some new pimples today, better go put that in my log.

Ok, now I'm depressed! The calves are awesome and Met's tapping some ass 4 times a day. At least the calves are a possibility for me. The other...28 years of wedded bliss has sort of dropped the numbers down let's say.
 
4 times a day takes some work even at our young age. I'm usually in sleepytime shutdown mode after 2. 3 is doable but man I'd need a serious nap afterwards. 4 is a serious, serious case of teh hornies.

Seriously man. The fourth time yesterday involved her waking me up for more. I was soo tired she had to do all the work. I love being taken advantage of :hammer:. Yeah AZ, yesterday was not a normal day at all for me. So don't feel bad :wink1:

So which one of you is taking the product again? Sounds like her libido went up too. I need to slip my wife what you are feeding that girl of yours. She is working on a recomp now anyway. Maybe I need to get her a bottle of this stuff. She is looking for a good natty test booster. Her Test is a little low naturally according to the bloodwork we had done.

Only thing I've got her on is fish oils and multi-v. Truth is we both are going to school full time and working full time. So yesterday was like a day of catch up for both of us. She needed it. So she was more than willing yesterday :D

Fenugreek seems to do the trick for women, and it's possible it will also increase their chest size! :D - So, TestoPro sounds like quite a treat for the lady. It's got teh Fenugreek goodies plus all the other test-bosting jazz.

Highest incline db press - 60x7-4-2=13 :woohoo:

Db skullz - 50x12-7-2=22!! Gonna wait until I get past 30 reps before moving up in weight.
stretch with 40 for 60 secs
Rack chins - 65x6-3-3=12 :D, very happy about this!
Low iso rows - 260x6
Totally forgot to do lat stretch :dunno: oh well...still making great gains!!

Damn good workout Bro! I can't believe how close my training program is to some of the DC stuff. I really need to go check it out in depth. Some of the stretching reminds me of the old school Spider Stretching techniques from the early 90's. Get a huge pump then stretch the sh1t out of it using weighted stretches. I got some good gains from that training too.

I love DC. Best routine I have ever used! I am growing like crazy from it and I dont see myself turning back.

I definitely like aspects of DC, but I just couldn't get into the strict program. I am currently using two DC sets for each muscle group (in addition to 3 Max OT sets), and I really like doing it this way. I seem to be making great progress. Better than when I was using the strict DC format. I don't think it was enough volume for my body.
 
Whatever works for you, stick with it. You have found your way and its working great. I probably will make changes over time. But for now this has worked perfect...what am I saying I already have made changes :lol:

I'm curious. What changes have you made to the format? - The main reason for my changes was to be able to include a strength exercise (the Max OT stuff), and then ditch the stretching for a pump exercise/ RP set.

For example, when I hit chest:

Flat Bench BB Press- 3 warmup, 3 Max OT sets (between 3 and 6 reps)
Incline DB Bench Press - DC Set - (20 rep target)
Pec Fly Machine - DC Set - (20 rep target)

The changes are obvious. More volume and weighted stretches substituted with pump exercise.
