Nothing wrong with that! Especially if it's Cemetery Gates... LOVE that song!
....5 minutes alone

Oh yeah, I tend to get into bed by 9:00. That is when I tuck my daughter in and sing to her before she says her prayers. Right now she stays up until 10 after that but lucky me she still wants me to tuck her in anyway.
best pantera song, period
and they got a few good ones
Pantera ROCKS! nuff said.
R.I.P. Dime
Nah man DB isn't resting and its definitely not peaceful. He's shredding some massive guitar rifts in the afterlife! The dead are alive once again in a hellacious mosh pit of ROCK! Just sayin'.
Sounds like a party to me!
Actually the song I sing to her is one I made up over a period of time. She would want me to make up songs each night and gradually it evolved as she would ask me to do some of the parts she liked from the night before, and make it up from there. When she liked something else I had to incorporate that part every time too. After a while she had basically chosen the words out of everything I kept making up until it was actually her own lullaby with words she picked herself. I kind of hope she will remember the song and sing it to her kids. It would make me unbelievably happy, but I don't expect her too or should I say won't try to get her too. I will keep the words and a recording of me singing it for her in case she ever says... "Daddy do you remember that song you used to sing to me when you put me to bed?" Yes of course I do!
As far as singing goes I was in all state choir for a couple years. I was pretty good but the rest of my family are super talented singers. I am a baritone so I have an interesting range that doesn't jibe all the time singing along to most of the music that is out. I did used to toy around singing in a couple garage bands as a kid. All metal or metal like of course. The stuff that is easiest for me was like Tantric, some Queensryche, Danzig, The non growling parts of most 5FDP stuff, Staind and country all though I am not really into it at all any longer. I also used to have a hell of a falsetto.
Yeah, I don't think I could do too much Geoff Tate now. Maybe with some practice. LOTS OF IT!glenn danzig has a very interesting voice, technically speaking..very difficult to duplicate
of course Geoff tate -- eish man, fahget about it :28:
Thanks, I really try, I want to be the example of what she looks for in a man. He doesn't have to be rich, so long as he treats her right and adores her.Hold those memories of singing to your daughter brother because they grow up so freakin fast. Good father you are.
AMEN!Operation Mindcrime... still a classic in my books
I may have to record it. It eerily sounds like country music though which I find quite interesting given my taste in music. Then again a country swag is much easier to roll with out music.Vids or it didn't happen! Seriously though, I'd love to hear it man.
Okay first we will go with the workouts, I am still gaining strength in most of my lifts but am also hitting the low carb wall at the end once I reach the point of muscle failure I don't have intra-set recovery without the glycogen to replenish the ATP. I knew that would be coming and like I said strength is still there and improving on many lifts.
You can look above the numbers for the current workout and see where I wrote the numbers from the last for comparison and so I had a point of reference for what I was trying to beat.

Sunday - HIIT Followed by LISS 604 calories total.

Okay now for what you all are really interested in.
Todays Weigh In 203.9 up 1.1 lb from last week.
I am partially surprised by this since I have been eating 1700 calories less per week on top of burning 2400 calories via the HIIT and LISS combo this week. However I am also 10 days into the mechabol so it kind of makes sense that there is a slight increase in weight. Going from my pictures I see I made progress and look both leaner and bigger this week. My abs and cuts are far more noticeable in the mirror and to people who are looking at me are making comments. Still waiting for Matt's assesment but he does not seem surprised at the increase in weight when I mentioned it to him and he has not had the chance to look at my pics yet.

Just got the word from Matt, he sees the progress and is happy with it. So my self assessment was pretty good, we shall see where we are as of this coming week but if my back keeps leaning up the way it is I think things are going to shape up very quickly!
This not being able to see pictures business is making me angry! Gonna hulk smash soon if it persists.
Thanks, I am pushing extremely hard right now. Tomorrow will be a 2 a day, lift in the AM and cardio in the afternoon. Push Push Push!!!Awesome news man. Your killing this prep from where you started! Glad everythings falling in place for you

I did not make it out of bed this morning, was just feeling extra tired so I decided to sleep in and then do my cardio at lunch and lift this evening. More than likely I will find a way to crush it in my garage instead of going into the gym and getting annoyed at the jumble of people. On tap for lunch, HIIT - Hill Sprints or maybe just some good old fashioned wind sprints.
The wife feels like she is coming down with something and one of the girls at her work had strep so I am hoping that is not going to be coming into my house. I have been getting in glutamine and Vit C anyway so I think I should be good. I just think heavy legs and then a big carb meal last night had me feeling groggy. Not feeling bad now. Just a lil tired.
sooooo the usual post from you, you're saying?Nothing of significant intelligence to add
sooooo the usual post from you, you're saying?
I hope you were wearing a hat... Hell I even got a sunburn!
No but I did have sunscreen on the old noggin. I ALWAYS have sunscreen on my head and ears if I go in the sun, but my shoulders, upper back and chest got a bit red. It is all gone now.I hope you were wearing a hat
The sun and heat can really kill you and it's humid where you are that's another killer.
Yeah it was pretty brutal, lesson learned though. If I miss training in the morning do not do cardio in the heat and expect to make up my session the same day. Would have been fine if I had just done the evening training. Oh well at this point in the game cardio is key!
you mean, you didn't have to need to do extra cardio because of the tight and reduced diet I already had you on, as you had to catch up in a hurry from being behind in prep..I am ready to do extra cardio if I need to, just there was no need with all the walking I do, which is also how ai get around.

fixed
I think a lot of guys misunderstand the point of cardio - and like chris says, whether you "need" cardio or not to get lean in combination with your diet, is going to be determined by your approach/goals ie if you want to lean out is one thing; if you want to solidify and maybe gain some muscle/improve body mass and want more cals in play to do so but yet need to lean out and reduce bf% at same time..
cardio is simply another tool in the toolbox, versatile in that it can be used in many different ways
there is also no such thing as "sprints on the bike"..that would simply be HIIT biking, no other magicI do the sprints on the bike though near the end and that really did seem to work for the legs..
Well, all the walking you do is basically cardio, just not on a treadmill and not jogging. With all the 5k and 10 k stuff I see in your logs day in and day out if your diet is on point shouldn't need much else at all liek you said. Me I have to go out and do cardio because my job is sedentary and I don't really have anyone to do outside activities like Steve does. Still though 3 hours a week should be plenty. Just depends on if he wants me to keep cals higher and stoke metabolism more while cutting. I do know at this point he wants my cals as high as possible while still burning fat at an accelerated pace.
exactly chris..very good understanding and intuitiveness
there is also no such thing as "sprints on the bike"..that would simply be HIIT biking, no other magic
you actually miss the point of why the sprints are there to begin with (leg separation from the motion), in this time period..HIIT action to burn extra cals is not the focus, and final week is the LAST time in the world you need to be thinking about HIIT activity..it is simply a fallback technique, and a visual improvement strategy, when you need the extra attention to your legs at the very end
