Thank you, Red! What they don't realize is that I'm a glutton for punishment, and sometimes it's the harsh things that pushes me the most. I love my AM family. Everyone on here inspires me every day, especially you!
 
I've been training more in the am and I feel like I'm not training at all. Like, oh sh*t, I already trained today!

I've tried numerous times and find I just can't train in the morning. Maybe it's because i'm old and it takes a while for my joints to loosen up. I just don't feel like I get a good workout in in the mornings.
 
It's a huge compliment because what those are people are saying even if it's subconscious and they can't admit it to themselves is "I don't posses the willpower or dedication to achieve that naturally myself so I find it impossible someone else could. It's not actually hating on you its a form of self hate i kind of feel sorry for those types.

This!! It's insecurities on their part that cause them to bash others! Your transformation is such a huge inspiration!! Be proud!!
 
People are so afraid of doing things that are hard that they want to make anyone who does look like a cheater. It just makes them feel better about being lazy. It justifies their lack of work ethic.
 
I agree! They want the easy way out and it's just not possible in their heads for anyone to achieve it either.

I just wanted to show u guys how stupid people are. I know that my fitness family supports me so their harsh words are irrelevant to my goals.

Fck em the best complement in this sport is a back handed one. The second some one accuses you of something that you are not doing that's awesome. It shows that you can get medical grade results with out the doc!
 
oh we know, I remember one time I was walking down the street shirtless, (was an extremely hot day), I was ripped to **** cuz I was about 4 weeks out of contest and this really obese girl looks at me and says "Gross" lol I just broke out laughing....

Just this morning a guy I do business with said to me "you're looking pretty jacked... I need to get to the gym but I work so much it's impossible." I wanted to say "motherfùcker, I run my own business, have three kids, coach my daughter softball team 4 days a week... But yeah, I go to the gym because I have nothing better to do."

Why didn't you say that? I take people's excuses away every chance I get. You won't get excuses from me i will simply tell you I am slacking and allowing things in my life to dictate my path right now. I won't say I was just too busy. It is all about the priorities.

I'm going to tell you something very important not all money is good money factor in work hours commute quality of life work culture do you get along well at work. I'm sure money was not the only reason you were looking for other jobs so do you think the reason's have changed or is this change in attitude temporary
 
That's a tough decision, comes down to is the extra money worth putting up with him. Best I can say is sleep on it and follow your gut.
 
Thanks, guys! You guys are absolutely right. I'm not leaving because the money is bad (I'm actually taking a pay cut). I am leaving because the environment is bad. It's not worth staying.... :)
 
A toxic work environment eventually bleeds into the rest of your life. Choose wisely.
 
Thank you, guys! I have to keep moving forward. A pay cut is not a step back, it's still a stepping stone because I know that there's so much more to come. This new job will only help me along the way, and I can't be afraid to change.

Best advice there is. It's never steered me wrong (except maybe at the occasional buffet...lol).

I trusted my gut after interviewing out of state 6 hours away from my family -- perfect fit. I then had an interview back at my alma mater that was all I thought I ever wanted. It didn't feel quite right when I was up there (in the top 3 doing the in-person interviews), so I hesitantly withdrew before the decisions were made/position was offered -- not one month afterward was the first time I met my wife.

It's not always easy, but you'll feel it deep inside of you. And money isn't everything. You need to be respected, appreciated and able to take care of yourself/provide for your family/live comfortably, but money should never be the number one deciding factor. I have a buddy who works in a very high position with Target and is very well compensated. However, he works 60+ hours a week on a regular basis, now lives in another state where he doesn't want to be and has already had ulcers and is a couple years younger than I am. Not worth it.

I'll be leaving my position sometime in the near future for a new adventure because I need to be able to save more and provide for my future children whenever that time comes, but a whole lot more went into that decision than just money. And as it stands, I love only working 37.5 hours a week and having a life outside of work. We never know when our time will come and it's all over, so we have to enjoy the days we have.
