Homemade sushi, and no invite!

Curious what you used to sushi (can you simply just get fresh salmon from the meat department?)

Lol my bad! ;)

In some cases yes, you can just get it from the meat department. It has to actually be fresh. The stuff we buy she gets in that day. The stuff at the grocery stores is frozen and then thawed so it's not actually sushi grade. You can ask your local meat department how fresh it is and if it's sushi grade. (I cleared my inbox)

Wow now these are some wicked kick arse workouts!! I kept looking the circuits training. I hardly do these but really need to incorporate them. Also Kat good grief are those dorian rows with db's bc if so you out lift half the guys in my gym!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Serious? We have several fishermans markets that have lots of fresh fish, and some of the better supermarkets have them.

It's getting so easy to fall behind on this thread...

We dont have fisherman markets.. well some asian markets that have fresh fish... but i was asking more if the fresh stuff at the counter was sushi quality is all.

Benefit to you living on the coast...

Not this time! We tried a while back without the nori and just used rice but that was quite unsuccessful! Lol I found my bamboo mat at the dollar store! :D

10 min sauna with a hoodie!
(Omg! I was sweating!)

10 min jump rope.

10 minutes of stretching, jumping jacks, mountain climbing, push ups, jumping squats, and up/downs.

35 minutes of
Front kicks and side kicks.

Finish off with 3 minutes of
Sit- ups!

I think the ECA is definitely helping me sweat because I barely ever, ever perspire, even when I'm in a hoodie.

I met a lady tonight who was super awesome. She helped me with my form and was very encouraging. She was telling me how she use to body build and even won a few local competitions. I was pretty inspired! :) She told me to just stay focused on my goal. :D

I am a total creature of habits. Same routine everyday, and if something interrupts, I get all flustered. One of my biggest goal this year is to expand myself and try new things, meet new people, and LIVE.

No Muay Thai tomorrow because I have a class, but I will circuit train in the am. I am also going to a Muay Thai fight this weekend in the Bay Area! :D I'm pretty excited about that! :)

I want to make some chili tonight but I'm so exhausted..... :/

It's not realllllllll chili but it'll do. I found the recipe on a Paleo chili site. Ground turkey and salsa! :D I also found some sweet chili salmon @ 20 grams of protein and 2 grams of carbs!!!! :D

I hear you on the habit thing. I have a compulsive personality and adhd so my comfort is routine. You need to be diverse and that involves new things and that's tough for me too... I does it though :)

lol, I haven't tried it. It was super late and I didn't want to eat it. Ummmmm.... Lol, I think I threw in everything I saw in the pantry. Red pepper flakes, paprika, cayenne, sea salt, fried garlic and etc... Lol, knowing how I cook, it'll probably taste like nothing. :D

When life gets busy I meal prep things that can be frozen, like your chili, and reheated as needed.
Or other macro-fitting snacks around to hit targets

Cook in bulk.

Buy a crock pot and a kitchen scale and a lot of tupperwear and you will be good to go.

The food prep will help If you find things you enjoy eating, just make a big batch of it. I don't have room to pre-portion it out all at once so I sore it in a big container and weigh it the night before. Meals are mostly planned out ahead of time! Makes it much easier to hit macros!

Today is a rest day! Got to sleep in until 6! So nice! I finally got a full nights sleep too! Took the ECA at 12 yesterday instead of after lunch (2) Felt so good to finally get some sleep! My calves are nice and sore from all of the jumping yesterday and the sprints on Monday!

I also want to say that I finally got some new protein powder in--LG must've changed the recipe--the white chocolate taste AMAZING!!! I even had it for dinner last night! Son had taekwondo so I fed him before we left. Then hubby and daughter ate leftovers while I was gone. When I came home, I had to work on cakes. So I just made a shake and a big bowl of rice to finish off my macros!

I agree with everything in bold here. MFP is not perfect but using it for macro count is a good and easy way to keep track, and or plan your meals. Also sometimes simplicity is the key when I am really hyper focused on always meeting my macros I just rotate maybe maybe 2 or three meals I know the macros for over and over then enjoy more variety on a PLANNED free meal.

Awww Kat! I decided to rest today also. :D I am soooo exhausted!!!! I took some ZMA last night to sleep but ended up waking up all night long. I miss my sleeping pills!! Just kidding! Those were the hardest thing to kick! :/
