I will say this. I am off all supps right now, and it is coming through... :grumpy: the fury and drive to push out extra reps is just not as strong as it has been all summer. Not a mental thing, but a physical one. The plan is to ride it out for the next 2 weeks while my body readjust and receptors normalize, and then go back for another 3 month run...
Going to be a llllllloooooooooonnnnnnnnngggggg 2 weeks... :rasp:
Army man check today... rappelling from a helicopter!!!! Ready to mushroom stamp the man cards of the whiners!!!!
Yeah you have done enough drop sets by then. LOLThose drop sets sound brutal, but i don't think i could handle them after i already finished Mr.Kleens workout. :34:
LOL I can only get about 5 good reps at 135.yeah I can only go that low when using DBs. I wonder if it would work for me to wrap the elbows and then use straps to take even more weight off the grip... something to think about... It is a great feeling walking to a bench where guys are benching 135 and ask if you can work in a few sets, and they say sure. But then you grab the bar and start curling it... man the looks on their faces are priceless!!!
ok my friends had some interesting numbers today... Was going to do nothing but shoulders, but then remembered that I hadn't done triceps this week. Completely unacceptable in my eyes, so I decided to combine the two. That was the plan....
Shoulders
Military Press BB
6 sets with the heaviest being 175. They were nice and clean. No pain at all in the shoulder, SCORE. the last 2 sets were burn outs on the 135 for 12 and then 8 reps done in drop set fashion with little rest.
THEN THE "Weight Lifting" class came in... I was about to bail, BUT I decided to stay and wait until the kicked me out. Unfortunately the shoulder stuff I wanted to use was take up... grrrrrrrrrrrrr
went to Triceps
Weighted dips (of course the dip and pull up stations are ALWAYS open during these classes)
4 sets with +70 lbs for the 2 heavy.
Skull Crushers
5 sets with the 2 heavy being 135!! No idea where that came from! the 2 drops were with 115
Reverse Grip Bench (along with everything else I did, this gained a HUGE audience from the "Class" one of which I had help me unrack the thing)
4 sets with the 2 heavy being 225 and got 10 clean reps on those... Remember that this class the strongest guy benches 135... They had no idea how to take the reverse grip on those and I had multiple questions...
2 hand overhead DB Ext.
they only have 1 100lb DB... stupid gym...
3 sets of a lot of reps
tried pushing my way into the DB area and do forward DB raises to hit the delt, but only got 2 sets in when I started getting looks from the "Teacher" because I was using 50 lbs per arm and some tools started asking ME questions again and not him... jealous tool!!! lol
I humbly conceded him to his status of "Teacher" and left with a smile as the stares followed me... Best part was my XL T-Shirt was like spandex on me because of the pump and I looked pretty beastly! ahhhhh (wipe tear from eye) good times!!!

Awesome workout and no way I would have stepped down to the "teacher". I would have continued my madness and maybe even reprimanded him for not keeping his class from inconveniencing the rest of the gym goers. Teach them not to stand in groups, teach them to alternate quickly and get out of the way. No chit-chat where my sh*t's at! Move away from the DB rack...

Lol you guys are great!!! Yeah I wanted to dress that guy down, but last semester I did many times and it did nothing... he is just a 65 year old stick in the mud... I have talked to his boss a few times, but the guy is tenured so nothing they can do... they want me to assist in a power lifting class next semester, or the advanced bodybuilding class... we shall see.![]()

I would have been semi diplomatic about it. However absolutely no way I would have given up my spot doing front raises to be kind to a large group of milling cattle while I was the only thing in the are that was focused. As a matter of fact I would have continued on and helped the other people learn proper technique.Damn Kleen! You wouldn't have done that IN FRONT OF his class, would you? LOL...but that's why we love you! I probably would have done the same thing.
Yeah gym etiquette will get me riled up fast. I am already in a no BS mentality when I get in the gym. You causing me to deviate from my plan due to poor etiquette is not gonna go over without at the minimum a comment. I see a guy with 5 sets of dumbbells and one is the set I want I go get them. I ask you using those THIS set? No, okay I will being them back in 1 minute. If answer is yes. Okay I will wait go ahead and then I will do a quick set and bring them right back okay? The implication that it is expected and not a request is heavily there even though I ask it politely. If they give me any trouble I Alpha male out, and start quoting gym rules and let them know they are being total douche bags. On an occasion or two I have gotten a manager involved. One guy left sweat all over the knee pad on the assisted dips and my wife wanted to use it. I saw that he had been on it and went to him at the next machine and let him know the towel he was carrying around was to clean off the equipment when he was done with it. His response was basically screw you. As you can imagine that didn't go over well. After berating him and calling him out in front of the entire gym I got the manager pulled him from his office and took him to the machine and then to the guy. He got warned one more time and his membership would be banned for 3 months. We had some more words in the locker room where he proceeded to call me a little bitch... He was about 6'2" and pretty stocky, my size wasn't enough to deter him. However my gameness to go at it seemed to make him think twice. I told him "Let's go Sparky... I am already warmed up you wanna do this here in the locker room or are you going to be smart enough to do it outside so you have somewhere to run?" There was a little more said from his side and finally I tossed my bag down and told him I was done talking start swinging or start walking. He walked...Yah my thoughts as well.. I remember something like this happened a couple times at my gym. I remember having to physically push someone out of my way. I try to hold it together but bad gym edicate gets under my skin... Like I said before it's my gym!! I really gotta get my own gym... :grumpy:

lol nothing to be jealous of my friend. Trust me, with all the deployments I have had, and not being able to be home to be a proper dad to these crazy kids, I am jealous of you!! :veryhappy:Little jealous of the life you lead AG. Im stuck in my cubicle while the blue angels keep doing flybys out the window
thanks brother!!You'd do well in either, AG...of that I have no doubt. They're honored to have you.
Well you are a great man oh aquatic one!!!Poetic justice would be to do the advanced weight lifting class and push his guys out of the way, LOL! Acting like that turns people off who are newcomers to the gym, it is terrible to teach a class in that manner. He should have explained that when it is busy we work together at stations so both people can get their workout completed in the same amount of time. You are truly a shining mark on the Army uniform for taking the high road though, shows character of the utmost level... I found out today sadly that is characteristic few have in this world sadly.
man you touch on soooo many of my pet peeves!!!! For me the crossfitters are the worse. They take up 6 stations at a time and heaven forbid you start using an empty bench they are using in their rotation. I got tired of this one day and told the dude to pound sand. If he wanted the bench he could wait like everyone else. He got pissy, and I stood up. That was all he needed. Gym etiquette should be mandatory to all who walk through those doors!!! screw jump rope for PE in elementary school... Gym Etiquette 101!!!! MANDATORY!!I would have been semi diplomatic about it. However absolutely no way I would have given up my spot doing front raises to be kind to a large group of milling cattle while I was the only thing in the are that was focused. haha well said :bigok:Ha! Kleen, you can't come at my neck anymore! I LOVE IT!!!!
Kleen: redifining the expression "Come at me bro!"
Ok my friends. Had a short workout because we gave the cadets a PT test this morning... was NOT pretty, but for the freshmen it was the first time half of them had EVER done a push-up. I got real frustrated, but then remembered that they were there, and giving me their all. After that, it was all high 5's to motivate them. And the rappelling was a great time too. No one got busted up, and my NCOIC had the fat boys and a few of the women do the peanut butter and jelly song after going down the rope. For those who performed poorly, they went to the 80 foot helicopter... they hated the helicopter... just a free-fall!!! So many of those dances were pretty great to watch. One of the guys took video. I will have to track him down to post it!
Legs - And Kleen don't kill me...
Leg extensions
4 sets at 200lbs
Leg press
the sled is 115. Did 10 empty. added 2 plates and thus it went until I got up to 600lbs!!!! SHHHHHHHHH don't tell Kleen!!!! the knee felt great though. The popping that was there last week was only present on the 600 pound press. And these were full ROM, none of this half calf raise leg press sissy man crap! Because of the popping and my own common sense kicking in, I decided to not push it. Got 5 clean reps though, thighs a little shaky with the weight. New goal... 1000 lbs by Christmas!
Squats - my nemesis and hated enemy!!!
bar only for a few sets
135 for 2 sets. Man this is the one that the knee really hates. Stability is big here. Taking it nice and slow to make sure that these are PERFECT ROM squats.
Ham Curls
3 sets
Calf raises
3 sets
insulted some cadets playing racquetball very poorly, and popped smoke!
legs a bit shaky, but NO pain in the knee!!! there will be later though![]()
LMAO! Maybe more of a yellowish green and spikes down my back. It will take another dose of radiation to get me to the full on green warrior zone! However yes gym ettiquete is huge for me. Also the hardest not to react to being already in the Alpha mode.man you touch on soooo many of my pet peeves!!!! For me the crossfitters are the worse. yeah I would be one to let Kleen have all the DBs he wants!!! :ntome: have you seen is new picks???!!! I think they should just paint him green and get it over with!!! :box:
Sure I can...Ha! Kleen, you can't come at my neck anymore! I LOVE IT!!!!
HaHa!!!! I am a Guido in training.Kleen: redifining the expression "Come at me bro!"
Okay good job now stop going up in weight Major! Use time under tension to stimulate growth. It doesn't take but a nanosecond for a sutured tendon or ligament to snap! It can go from feeling strong to being in TWO PIECES!!!! If you stay bull headed you are gonna catch a hot brand on the ass! YOu are now working with enough weight to cause hypertrophy, so slow the reps down to a 4-0-2 tempo and work from there. Trust me once you let the ego go the extra intensity from the slow reps will take over and you will enjoy the intensity of the workout and the new muscle you build from shocking the muscles with that tempo. Now cut the sh*t Major and make the executive decision to allow those ligaments and tendons to heal fully while growing the muscle around them using time under tension. Just ask EdWitt he will tell you how it is treating him and his shoulder. It is improving both on a pain level and building new muscle.Ok my friends. I can't wait! Yeah me and the wife discussed me boxing up some of my supps I don't plan on using for a month or two just to make room in the supplement cabinet. Yeah I/we get an entire cupboard, and it is full. She is a bit more understanding than most since she takes half of what I do anyway.haha yeah a new log will go up soon. Got some stuff in route. Going to be epic for sure!!!
However, my stash of supps, believe it or not, has TRIPLED since I started this!!!! I actually had to move some of it down into the basement because the wife was getting pissed!!!! ahh (wipe tear) good times!!!

lol yeah I knew this one was coming!!! Curses to whoever spilled the beans!!!! :rasp:
But, as usual, you are right!!!. I plan on doing just that. This was more or less a test to see what I could handle on the leg press. If you notice (Ahemmmmm) the squats were done as you suggest. Light and with reps.
But I will stay at or around 500 on the leg press until I am doing around 20 reps. I think by that time the weight will be able to increase with the new muscle having been built. We shall see though...onder:
I think once my supps get in, the ones we talked about before, I will follow a similar pace that you are on now. Lots of rep volume.
As for the pride???? well those kids were in the gym again (the toothpick arm guys) and were trying their best not to kill themselves with a EZ bar with 10's on it... So... YES you are correct again. :box:

Like I have said before I have my own special Portable cupboard for my supps 7 ft high 3 feet wide and about 3 deep... it's pretty damn full... If you annoy the wife long enough maybe she will buy you one...

BTW: Kleen, apparently the name SUPER DMZ is catching the filter here...I can't look at your log, but I am with you in spirit my friend, and will email you every once and awhile!
V does it catch it on emails as well or just the board? Only asking since wondering if you could subscribe and then get daily updates by email? Or PM me your email address and then every couple of days I'll email them to you from my subscription after removing the DMZ wording

ok guys been a relaxing weekend of cleaning out the house...![]()
my kids told their friends as they came to the door wanting them to come out and shoot baskets, "No I can't. My dad actually takes the term Labor, in Labor Day, seriously."
The pathetic expressions on their poor faces gave me power!!! Muahahahahahahaha... that could be another Good Dad, Bad Dad moment!!!!
Today's lift
Kept it light because of not being on anything right now. Just want to maintain and get ready for the next round of supps... good times. Took some Jack3d this morning, as I am out of everything else, and it really upset the stomach... that is the first time that has happened

Didn't plan on doing sprints today, but I was forced to SPRINT to the bathroom... it was like Shock and Awe in 91' all over again for about 30 seconds...
was going to do that crazy drop set routine, but no lift partner and was week from the free for all in the bathroom...
abs and then left walking slow and dizzy...
I just set an incline PR of 195 and you are talking about 225 being easy, smooth reps! Dang you strong chested people!!!!!!
Good workout man, sorry to hear about the jack3d though. I never have had that happen to me... more reason for AS-GT to be in your life if you ask me.
BTW: Kleen, apparently the name SUPER DMZ is catching the filter here...I can't look at your log, but I am with you in spirit my friend, and will email you every once and awhile!
I think it has more to do with the word Steroid being in the path to the link than the actual Super-DMZ name. Since it is in the anabolic/steroid section of the forum.Nah just on the board. Cant even get the board from work, have to go into the MWR, luckily we have our own MWR lol.
I am looking into internet in the room, only 60 a month so I may do that. Only working 8s here so I have tons of free time.
Right! 275 was light for me heavy sets.... My best ever was 9 reps at 275, and there was NOTHING light about any of those reps...Our definitions of 'light' and our use of the word 'only' are very different sir. Sorry about the bubble guts.
Just challenge us to a swim and those pecs won't make a lick of difference.I just set an incline PR of 195 and you are talking about 225 being easy, smooth reps! Dang you strong chested people!!!!!!

agree with XT and Kleen!!! you could swim circles around us!! and just wait until those numbers DO get up there... you will have us all in the fetal position!!I just set an incline PR of 195 and you are talking about 225 being easy, smooth reps! Dang you strong chested people!!!!!!

THIS!!!! though you are a guy repping 225 like 30 times :rasp:You'll get the 225, Fin...and sooner than you think. Then you'll look back on this post and laugh. Reps...

I am actually taking my jack3d again too. I have absolutely no use for an AI right now and to have one in my line up would be stupid at this point. I need what ever tiny bit of Estro I have to keep my immune system strong. So the AS-GT gets a break for this period of time. However it is coming back during PCT!!!!!! I have been lucky since I am taking in 3 grams of Vit C and 10-20 grams of Glutamine a day that I am staying healthy as a horse. If things get out of control with immune system though I have some DHEA around and can take that to get a little aromatization going on to get the immune system to bounce back. Right now me STRONG LIKE BULL!!!
