A new chapter...RickRock's path on the "DARK SIDE" begins...

Day 72

Weight: 177 (+12)

Dosed 450mg Katana
Dosed 20 pumps Formastanozol (10pumpsx2)

Had a good burn day, and by the afternoon I was looking great after all the drying out and depletion of no carbs. I did take some pics in the later part of the afternoon, and I was very pleased with them, though I am going to take some more on Thursday (my next burn day) after carbing up BIG today to see if I can get even fuller without the bloat. It's a bit of an experiment, but whichever ones are better I will throw them up sometime in the next few days. I could tell from my pics last night that I have progressed a lot since my last pics. Everything looks tighter, I look more vascular, the cuts are deeper, and more striations, etc....so I am pretty excited to share them soon ;)

Cardio was

35 minutes of treadmill running 7.5 MPH for 410 cals

15 minutes Elliptical for 215 cals

50 minute session for a 625 cal burn

Awesome to hear man! I can't wait to check out those next pics. I'm eating a LOT of carbs today to try and get as full as possible. I'm eating a lot of things that I normally don't to get that carb total high like cookies, chips, ice cream, etc...so its a kinda fun day to indulge a little. Hopefully I don't go too high, but with how dry I've been getting with the Forma, I really think I will be nice, big, dry, and ripped for tomorrow after going no carb and cleaned up for pics in the afternoon ;)

Yah I will some carbng up as well.. I may do some before carb up after carb up pics... one thing I have to avoid is dairy as I tend to hold water in my skin with dairy... keep an eye on how the ice cream treats you...

Really impressed with your progress, and the detail of your logs.
Just out of curiosity, did you experience any sides, even mildly?
Again great work.
Peace

I agree 100 percent he is so gross that I've questioned if I'm truly into women.... Wait a minute WTF did I just say?? ;-) No for real though this guy is a living legend and I've had nothing but respect for him since I joined this board! Helps you out if you need it and a lot can be learned from his training and dedication!

Yeah, he got bodybuilder big. Chicks don't dig that. :smashfreakB:

Hey Rick do you use a manual caliper or a digital one to check your bf?

I don't really have any problems with dairy that I'm aware of, but I didn't end up eating any ice cream anyways.

Funny thing is, that obviously this has been my best cycle and puts all the PH cycles to shame. Whats even better, is the fact that it has been 100% side effect free. I haven't even had any joint pain or anything. It's been perfect.

I use a digital caliper that takes a 3 point measurement (chest, abdomen, quad)

Frank Reynolds said:
What are your actual measurements? Just curious. My legs usually pinch so ****ing lean before my ab even budges..lol

Yeh, my abs always have the highest number too. My upper body is always the leanest. My last set of measurements were 4.7mm at the chest, 7.5mm at the abs, and 5.7mm at the quads and came out to roughly 6% bodyfat

Day 73

Weight: 176.5 (+11.5)

Dosed 450mg Katana
Dosed 20 pumps Formastanozol (10 pumpsx2)

My workout went good overall, though some of the exercises are stalling out. I seem to be really having to fight now to get another rep on so,e things. I'm still making great progress on my quad and ham exercises though and still adding a significant amount of weight to each workout. I stalled out without being able to add a rep to EZ bar preacher curls for the second time, so it may be time to trade that exercise out for something else. I might give it one more workout to see if it progresses anymore, but if not I will probably move something else into the rotation.

I ended up having a good amount of carbs for the day. That was the plan....to have around double the amount of carbs that I normally would to see how full I could get for pics while using the next days burn day to dry out and take the pics in the afternoon. Well I did a rough estimate on my macros for the day, and Iit looks
Ike I hit around 5k cals and between 450-500g of carbs which is right around double what I normally take in on workout days. Needless to say I felt like a fat fock all day and just felt bad after eating that much carbs. I did look damn full though! That part of the plan was in place and now to see if I could get dry for pics!

DC workout 2C (Biceps, Forearms, Calves, Hamstrings, Quads)

EZ bar preacher curls (rest,pause)
120x8x3x2 (+0 reps)

Single reverse cable curls (straight set)
60x12 (+2 reps)

Leg press toe raise (straight set with enhanced negative)
290x11 (+1 rep)

Sumo leg press (rest, pause)
470x10x5x4 (+20lbs)

Leg press (straight sets)
590x10 (+30 lbs)
540x20 (+30 lbs widowmaker)

Day 74

Weight: 180 (+15)

Dosed 450mg Katana
Dosed 20 pumps Formastanozol (10 pumpsx2)

Well, needless to say the effects of the carb up were apparent when I hit the scale this morning. I was shocked to see 180 on there, and surprised to also still look very lean with no bloat. I know it could only get better as the day went on, drying out more and bringing out the definition and vascularity even more. That seemed to work very well with the carb up, and the Forma seems to do a hell of a job of keeping the water off, so I figured I was sitting pretty well for pics.

I did a nice short and sweet cardio session to get a decent burn, but not get too depleted. I wanted to keep as much fullness as I could while getting dry. It's all experimental for me at this point, trying to find that balance and happy medium between full and dry and ripped.

Cardio was 30 minutes running 7.5 MPH (410 cals burned, and 3.5 miles distance)

I ended up taking pics and my first impression is that I am very happy with them. But I do still need to compare them with the ones taken 2 days ago and look at differences. I have no doubt that today's pics are fuller. The only question I have is if there is a noticeable difference in definition, and water retention.

I will get pics up soon for comments and feedback once I go through them and verify that today's set is the better set ;)

I am doing some today should be able to get them up by Saturday then I might do some carbed up ones on Saturday as well...depends... We can compare leanness, dryness etc.

Its funny because I'm thinking of doing the same myself.

Hopefully I should have my pics up tonight, but I am still planning to carb up big again today (with just a tad less carbs-maybe the 400g range) and then take pics tomorrow at an earlier time around noonish. That would be a little different than last time that should make the pics just as full if not more, but definitely drier because I will be fasted and not have eaten a meal yet. That should keeping me dry without too much depletion of fullness from today. Its all expirimenting for me to see what works best for the end result. At any rate, I think I'm getting close to knowing what works best ;)

Great I am thinking I will bet a better handle on how to use my carbups ... this weekly pic thing has been a wealth of knowledge ...

In for the new picts Brotha, you never cease to amaze my Brutha!!!

Day 75

Weight: 178 (+13)

Pinned 300mg Test E
Pinned 300mg Masteron E
Dosed 450mg Katana
Dosed 20 pumps Formastanozol (10 pumpsx2)

What an incredible workout today! The pumps I had were insane today, and possibly some of the best pumps I've ever had. By the end of the workout, my body was tight, big, and pumped everywhere. I could tell for quite some time now that everybody in that gym knows that I am on some good sh1t...lol! For a couple months now, nobody will talk to me anymore, but everyone is staring...lol. Today is was real bad. It's pretty much a dead giveaway I guess when you gain a bunch of muscle and gain as much strength as I have in the short time frame...lol. Anyways, I was as big and shredded as I've ever been today.

As for performance, I made some great progression on everything, adding 5-10 lbs on all lifts again. I continue to be very impressed with all numbers on my chest movements. I've made some amazing progress on strength and size both there. I moved up to 85s on DB shoulder presses and those went very well, and easier than I expected them to.

I am once again taking in extra carbs today to give another angle to some pics again tomorrow. The idea is to take in another 400ish grams of carbs today to get really full, but slightly less than the other day. Then tomorrow, instead of taking my pics late in the afternoon, I will take them before noon after doing a nice cardio session. The combination of the cardio and drying out overnight on the Forma should make meditating pretty for the pics I hope. I'm planning on being full and not depleted, but dry and ripped. We will see how it goes. I will still put up the pics I already took yesterday sometime tonight, and if I see anything worth putting up from pics tomorrow I will end up posting those up too ;)

DC workout 1A (Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, Back Width, Back Thickness)

Smith Incline Bench Press (rest, pause)
220x8x3x3 (+10 lbs)

DB shoulder press (rest, pause)
85sx11x4x2 (+5 lbs per DB/10 lbs total)

Close grip smith bench press (rest, pause)
210x9x4x2 (+10 lbs)

Chins (rest, pause)
BW+60x8x4x3 (+1 rep)

T-Bar Rows (straight sets)
235x9 (+5 lbs)
250x4 (+5 lbs)

Nice work bro. I learn new sh*t everyday in your thread. Keep it up and can't wait for the pics.... no homo...

Well, here they are! These are my latest pics from yesterday. I did the big carb up the day before and then took these pics in the later part of the afternoon on the next day with no carbs (burn day). I think it got me very full in the pics and my weight was up to 180 in the morning also. I think I came out pretty dry overall, but I do see some areas that I could make some minor improvements on drying out more. That is what I'm going to try to accomplish with tomorrows pics. We will see.. .

I got another set of bodyfat measurements again and came up with another very slight decrease from the last time. Out of checking a few times I came up with a range of 5.6-5.9%, so I still got some leaning of a tenth or two despite having some loose days on the weekends which is stellar!!

So all critique, comments, and feedback is welcomed!!!

8/2/12 180@ 5.7% bodyfat

Just wow bro! Abs and back tightened up something fierce bro! Vascular as all hell! Looking focking incredible! (all homo).

simply amazing. Rick you are the one that got me on lean gains and i have done wonders with that and i think u might just be the one to convince me to give DC a try as well. I am doing the 3 day lean gains split so switching to DC would be no problem. I am doing +10%/-35% build and burn days and following the cutting recommendations since im coming off a big bulk. If i did switch to DC could i keep cals the same or would u recommend switch to more of a +20/-20 as far as cals and shoot towards recomp calories. Thanks.

Man my first impression is vascular and hard, you may be leaner as well, you got that rear double bi in... still would like to see you in a real shoot doing mandatory poses, you should get somebody to do a full shoot for you...

even your fuggin back is vascular. you need to find a competition in the next week and go dominate that sh*t. you look ridiculous(good ridiculous not bad).

just out of curiousity how do you actually calculate your bf% with the calipers? i'd like to learn how to so i can keep track of mine. is there like a web link that im missing or is this top secret info?

Don't you dare give me that gay ass thanks thing again! LMAO you starting to like the new feature brosef?

Wow!
Really amazing results.
Congrats.
Peace

I appreciate that man! Thank you!

Yeh, I will agree that this set definitely stands out among the others. I was the most dry, and the most full all while still being at just a tad lower bodyfat and a higher weight, so it's better all the way around. Thanks for the kind words bro!

Just wow bro! Abs and back tightened up something fierce bro! Vascular as all hell! Looking focking incredible! (all homo).

Thanks LTL! I have to say I am pretty happy. I got even happier when I went and looked at my pics from a 3 months ago and realize just how much I've changed in this time. I really can't believe the amount of good lean size that I added on this run. Doing the first half of this cycle as a semi-bulker and the last half as a semi-cutter has worked beautifully IMO and probably the way I will run all my cycle from here on out. You can do that with these longer 10+ week injectable cycles easily

You could still keep the cals the same if you wish to keep the same caloric and macro targets. Your training shouldn't necessarily dictate what diet to run. Obviously with a higher amount of surplus on DC you may see better progression in strength and size, but if cutting is still your primary goal then I think it could still work as long as you are happy with slower progression. Whenever you are ready to transition to recomp just shift your cals to more of the 20/20 split.

Thanks for the compliments man! I appreciate everything! I'm glad that I could help you out on giving IF and possibly DC a try. It feels great to know that some people out there get some inspiration from my logs and posts. I get a lot of inspiration and advice from some great people here myself (Kleen, DW, Morry, Frank, etc...), so it's nice to carry it on and pay it forward!

Man my first impression is vascular and hard, you may be leaner as well, you got that rear double bi in... still would like to see you in a real shoot doing mandatory poses, you should get somebody to do a full shoot for you...

Thanks Doug! Yes, one day I definitely want to do a shoot with. Professional photographer to see what I can get from that. That is in my plans by next year at least, as I really would like to compete around a year from now. Up until then I would like to add as much mass while staying lean as I can. Hopefully around another 15 lbs of LBM through a couple cycles....one in the winter and one a year from now in the summer. I also really wanting to start now, or at least relatively soon, on getting used to all the various poses and start really getting a handle on things. Then at some point next year I will do a photo shoot, and aim for a late summer/early fall show ;)

Yeh man I plan to compete someday, but in my kind I'm not quite ready for the stage yet. I want to make sure I'm 100% ready to step on there and own it when I do, and I don't want to half-ass anything. I've put too much into this lifestyle to walk onto the stage not fully confident that I can take it, and I don't want to let myself down by not being completely ready for it. But it is in the plans, next year is the goal, so I can compete one season before turning 40...lol. I have some areas I really want to bring up to the rest of me over the next year too. DC has been doing incredible in that regard, and I think that a full year on it will give me some great symmetry :)

As for the calipers, there is nothing secret brother. It's pretty simple actually. The set I bought I got right here off of Nutraplanet and also came with a myotape tape measure for taking body measurements as well. It's a digital caliper set that does all the measurements and calculations for you. You just have to enter your age and sex, then make sure you are doing the skinfolds correctly. After that it will tell you your bodyfat %. It's 30 bucks, but well worth the money for checking your bodyfat IMO. It has amazing accuracy if you use it correctly.

LMAO....it was my first time using that feature, and probably my last...lol. "Thanks"

Definitely looking forward to my 12 week cycle coming up here in fall/winter bro! I will take the same approach as you but I don't think I can stay as lean as you have during that bulk period. Holy sh1t man you were meant for clean gains no joke!

Dude, you look Awesome and it amazes me that you continue to progress so well. I got a question, has your weight increased, I mean when I look back months ago, yes, you look leaner, but not ridiculously leaner, but you do look significantly bigger and in combination with being leaner, I see some pretty remarkable changes, congrats bro, still curious about weight gain though?

Holy fuggin wow bro. Amazing man. I bet the people are staring at the gym. Sadly probably more bros than hoes. LOL

Looking sick in here man. Getting leaner and putting on size, very nice. Iif I were you, I'd start pre exhausting or pre pumping your chest and lateral delts. Or when doing say a barbell bench, start focusing on trying to push your hands together, like a chest fly while pressing the weight. If you do it right, you'll put all the focus in the chest.

I'm sure you will love it bro, and with the right setup on diet and training there's absolutely no reason that you can't keep it just as lean as me through lean bulking....but thanks again for the compliments brother!

Yes, Scotty you are pretty much spot on in your assessment. If you go back months ago I wasn't that much different in body fat. I was between 6-6.5% at my leanest, and now I'm sitting at between 5.6-5.9%, so yeh leanness isn't my big change....it's definitely size and strength no doubt. That is good, because that was my focus. I really don't need to get any leaner at this point, unless I was going for a contest or something. I'm just all about maintaining this leanness through the summer right now while still progressing on muscle and strength gains.

As for the actual scale weight difference, I started this cycle at 165 around 6.5% bodyfat, and I am sitting at 178-180 right now at 5.6-5.9% bodyfat. I am also drier now than at the start, but definitely have a lot of glycogen stored (as anabolics do that), so at the very least I would guess I've gained 10 lbs of muscle or so taking into consideration water and glycogen returning to normal post cycle, but I'm thinking it could be slightly more than that. At any rate, I call it a HUGE success and I'm happy! :)

Kleen actually recommended something similar a while back, and that may be something I try out at some point, but honestly my chest is making more progress than anything else with the way everything is currently setup in the DC training, so for now I will probably stay the course at least through pct, then I may consider incorporating it for a little while to see how it does

All I can say is wow bro. You had an impressive physique before but now.... Well done man I'd be very happy if i was you.

I think you'd do very well on a tren cycle. You look sick your back has the ninja stars in it, very detailed muscle. Congrats bro.

Thanks man! I appreciate it! I'm very happy with the results from this cycle for sure. I don't think I could have asked for any better when consider everything from muscle gain to fat loss to strength.

I think you'd do very well on a tren cycle. You look sick your back has the ninja stars in it, very detailed muscle. Congrats bro.

Thanks for the kind words bro! I am pretty happy with how my back has progressed. I made a lot of changes to it in thickness, width, and definition through this cycle.

Tren is actually in my future plans, and what I plan to run next year around this time. It will tentatively be test E/Masteron E/Tren E and a little var in there for 10-12 weeks :sgrin:

RR on tren? Can't wait for that epic cycle!

Ok guys, I have been going through my pics from before the cycle started, and the recent ones I took and I was absolutely blown away at the differences. So much in fact, that I really felt the need to do a true side by side comparison of all the shots to really show everyone just what kind of transformation I have had in the last 11 weeks.

I really think that I had a perfect run. Between the wonderful benefits of intermittent fasting, the incredible strength and mass gains from DC training, and a perfect ****tail of anabolics, I came out of this looking like a whole new me....and these pics will show it! I am absolute amazement when looking at these and I'm pretty sure you all will be too.

The first pics were taken on 5/17/12 (just a few days before the cycle started), and I was at a weight of 165 lbs at around 6.5% bodyfat

The second pic in each comparison are from 8/2/12 (near end of week 11 on cycle) and my body weight was 180 at around 5.7% bodyfat

As always, all feedback and comments are welcomed!!
