a quick question with G8...
About the 30min mark, after taking it, I get this hard to breathe feeling...Any thoughts?
Probably the GABA. Gets me everytime. No big deal, just means it's legit.

yeah that is generalized way of looking at it..lil more complex tho, as G8 is not simple GABAProbably the GABA. Gets me everytime. No big deal, just means it's legit.
Picamilon (also known as nicotinoyl-GABA, Pycamilon, and Pikamilon) is a dietary supplement formed by combining niacin with GABA. It was developed in the Soviet Union in 1969 by the All-Union Vitamins Scientific Research Institute and further studied in both Russia and Japan as a prodrug of GABA.
Picamilon is sold in the United States as a dietary supplement, while in Russia it is sold as a prescription drug. The rights to the drug belong to pharmaceutical company NPK ECHO ("НПК ЭХО"), Moscow, Russia.
Picamilon is able to cross the blood–brain barrier and then is hydrolyzed into GABA and niacin. The released GABA in theory would activate GABA receptors potentially producing an anxiolytic response. The second released component, niacin acts as a strong vasodilator, which might be useful for the treatment of migraine headaches.
5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), also known as oxitriptan (INN), is a naturally occurring amino acid and chemical precursor as well as a metabolic intermediate in the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitters serotonin and melatonin from tryptophan.
5-HTP is sold over the counter in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada as a dietary supplement for use as an antidepressant, appetite suppressant, and sleep aid, and is also marketed in many European countries for the indication of major depression under trade names like Cincofarm, Levothym, Levotonine, Oxyfan, Telesol, Tript-OH, and Triptum. Several double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trials have demonstrated the effectiveness of 5-HTP in the treatment of depression, though a lack of high quality studies has been noted. More and larger studies are needed to determine if 5-HTP is truly effective in treating depression.
The psychoactive action of 5-HTP is derived from its effect on the production of serotonin in central nervous system tissue. More specifically, 5-HTP increases the production of serotonin.
5-HTP is sold over-the-counter in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada as a dietary supplement for use as an antidepressant, appetite suppressant, and sleep aid. 5-HTP in supplement form is typically sold in 50 mg or 100 mg gelatin or vegetarian capsules. It is usually sourced from the seeds of Griffonia simplicifolia.
5-HTP has been studied and shown to be of benefit in the following conditions: primary fibromyalgia syndrome, Friedreich's ataxia, depression, anxiety, binge eating associated with obesity, and insomnia. There is no statistically significant difference between 5-HTP and placebo in treating chronic headaches (primary or otherwise).
A 2001 meta-analysis found that of 108 studies on 5-HTP published between 1966 and 2000, only two met the authors' quality standards for inclusion. The two studies that were deemed of sufficient quality did not deal with 5-HTP exclusively, instead combining results for 5-HTP and tryptophan, so the results may not be completely applicable for 5-HTP alone. While the combined analysis of the two 5-HTP and tryptophan studies showed significant effectiveness over placebo in treating depression, the authors state that overall "the evidence was of insufficient quality to be conclusive". They also state that "because alternative antidepressants exist which have been proven to be effective and safe, the clinical usefulness of 5-HTP and tryptophan is limited at present".
5-HTP is often taken by people coming down from MDMA to relieve post-MDMA dysphoria. The basis for doing this is that 5-HTP is a necessary precursor for the brain to produce more serotonin, and MDMA use depletes a person's natural serotonin levels, thus taking 5-HTP after a dose of MDMA could improve serotonin production. While the practice is common, no verifiable evidence could be found to confirm whether the practice actually works.
Because 5-HTP has not been thoroughly studied in a clinical setting, possible side effects and interactions with other drugs are not well known. However, it is noteworthy that no published reports of serious side effects exist, despite that 5-HTP is freely available as a nutraceutical. This could indicate that serious side effects are relatively rare with 5-HTP, at least in moderate doses. On the other hand, acute moderate gastrointestinal effects, such as diarrhea and vomiting, are common upon administration of 5-HTP, probably due to rapid formation of serotonin in the upper intestinal tract.

the combination that is G8 is actually phenibut (and of course mucuna pruriens or l-dopa), and:

do you work for us, or what?![]()
good stuff
My 1st day-after running G8, work shift is 3pm-midnight so took it right after work (approx-00:30) Started off with a full scoop. Approx 1 hour later I felt totally relaxed and at ease - (I do suffer from anxiety and insomnia so I believe this sup helped me out) It took about 2 hours to put me out.. Woke up around Noon- felt an almost un-describable feeling i never felt before- a mix of : disorientated and dizzy. Had my normal Pre-wokout shake (Oatmeal, peanut butter, Whey Protein) Hit the gym around 2:30 pm. All I have to say I felt extremely strong, I didnt want to rest long between sets for Deadlifts , and kept looking for extra exercises to add. I dont know if G8 had anything to do with it, I also feel in a spectacular positive mood. I have mixed feeling so far..Thinking I am going to run it at half a scoop tonight Or perhaps take Dreamweaver's suggestion and run it just 3 times a week.
nice feedback
me - i like 5on/2off dosing scheme, then 4-week total break after 8-12 weeks of use
works well for me
Just took my g8, feeling smooth.
Great workouts, sweating like a pig on a spit.
Dosing 2 Px preworkout and 1 pre lunch.
Have my air set to 21 degrees celcius and still warm lol...
Super impressed with the focus blend.
I would also advise that this and Alc+Cla stacked would be the bees knees.
Alcar with pea, irisinxd and yohimbine would be a force worth reckoning with. Great stuff.
I still have some appetite so I can maintain energy and still cut kcals.

Excellent on the lean mass gains Chris! As far as maximizing G8's GH benefits you would get more out of using it on a 5 on 2 off, you will get used to the part that got you disoriented pretty quickly but 2/3 scoop is all I really ever do now. If trying to make one bottle of G* last longer I can see doing it 3 times a week or just using it for the benefit of better sleep and recovery a few times a week. However the more days a week you have levels high without attenuating to the GH stimulation the better. The practice of 5 on 2 off has been a staple in running GH products for max benefit and minimum attentuation for quite a while.
Its a pretty intense product.
I am having sleep I haven't had in years.
I still take half a scoop, any more and I get a hard to breathe, dizzy feeling.
I'm glad I have this in my arsenal.

i mean it could be done during the day (i have), but postWO you would have to avoid carbs, actually food in generalit is pretty good stuff man.
I wake up and feel refreshed.
Has ANYONE done 1/3 or 1/2 scoop post workout and a further 1/3 or 1/2 scoop pre bed?
Cortisol mitigation?

try it :shrug:I can avoid eating for half hour after.
t'is a great product...beats the boring old melatonin...
i notice my sleep cycles seem deeper, not that I can know at that time, but when waking up, im not groggy, i'm eagar to get up, my body feels good (providing I have fed and watered myself properly).
tonight is my dinner date with Kelley so we are going buffet but gonna stick to a clean meal but just a LOT OF IT lol...leptin reset
precisely my thoughts, and why i aim to control insulin/glucose levels at ALL timesThis is a great time for a large protein intake with moderate carbs so you get some added insulin and glycogen replenishment without the likely hood of gaining fat. However if you go to crazy on carbs during this time then you can still easily cause yourself to store fat because the insulin levels will be enough to bring the Glut 4 to the surface of the fat cells.
I can avoid eating for half hour after.
I don't believe in the dogmatic "anabolic window". If I'm hungry ill eat but if not, ill have some BCAAs.
Ill eat when hungry lol but will get my 4 meals in

Half a scoop of G8 gave me one of the best nights of sleep ever, i woke up feeling refreshed without the drowsy feeling which surprised me.
Nice, glad you enjoyed it, yeah G8 is pretty amazing stuff. As far as the post workout GH secretion, you want to optimize that drink half a scoop before you start the first set of your last exercise. You should already be beginning to produce the GH spike. The GH spike comes from increase levels of lactic acid. However at a certain point during the workout about 45 minutes in your body starts going more catabolic and the GH surge happens. If you did that and then ate your carbs when you got home there would not be any issue with the surge of GH and you would be giving the IGF-1 created by it some substrate to work with.
As far as the anabolic window it really isn't so much something you buy into or not, it is something that actually occurs and is proven in science. Exercised induced Muscular GLUT-4 Trans-location is a very real thing where during the post exercise period your Glut-4 receptors are all brought to the surface of the muscle tissue the same as with a large increase of insulin. The big difference is at that time the Glut 4 is not activated in the fat cells so storage is not as likely. This is a great time for a large protein intake with moderate carbs so you get some added insulin and glycogen replenishment without the likely hood of gaining fat. However if you go to crazy on carbs during this time then you can still easily cause yourself to store fat because the insulin levels will be enough to bring the Glut 4 to the surface of the fat cells.
I believe in it but I think it's much longer than a hour...
Again all true but it's a much bigger window than most would think in my opinion. This is more though trial and error for me. Once you got me to try lean gains I was a bit worried but the extra fasting time after the workout seemed to enhance the effect rather than diminish it.
Brekky before cricket.

great review chris!Please rate on a scale of 1-5: 1=Strongly Disagree; 2 = Disagree; 3 = Neutral; 4 = Agree; 5 = Strongly Agree
1) This product was a great source of clean energy... (1-5)
I dose 2 pre workout, 1 pre lunch.
Euphoria is awesome and its clean. No issues with headaches and the 3,5 helps too. Keeps the fire burning because of the upregulation of my thyroid output.
2) This product affected my mood in a positive manner... (1-5) -
5 outta 5.
I love PEA and R Beta PEA.
Simple!!!!
3) This product helped control my cravings/appetite... (1-5) -
5
As I said, I can still eat, but that's the beauty of this product. You want to eat to recover but some products just make you feel sick and don't want to eat for hours post training. Not this one. Feels great to eat after and I know that my energy levels won't drop off.
4) This product enhanced my mental focus... (1-5)
I give it 4.5
I work in a highly educated position and to stay focused for the whole day, after training is a massive bonus. This has been top 3 stim thermogenics I have taken PERIOD. Even though there is a prop blend which I understand why, the PEA feels well dosed and its not to a point where my head can hurt.
5) This product gave me the jitters... (1-5)
1
Enough said
6) This product helped me lose weight? (1-5)
I will give this a 4. So far I feel that this product is definitely helping me with the fat. I do eat, but not a massive desire too. Ill eat out of necessity for energy and training purpose. I eat to train, not train to eat.
7) I really enjoyed this product and would recommend it to friends 5 out of 5 product. I'm foreseeing a great rise of IRISINXD in the future along with Hisperdine.
I think he gave the jitters a 1 rating meaning he had no jitters.
