I actually just started dating this girl a little over 2 months ago (completely unexpected/unplanned). Most of the RecoverBros are married or have girlfriends, actually, I think lol. I've been single for a LONG time and I'm used to living alone/having all my time to myself/etc. However, Ashley is very cool and we're just easing into the whole thing, so we're not attached at the hip. I know I have to ease back into it because otherwise it'll be too much for me (going from alone to never alone). My work schedule is pretty nice, though, so I just hit the gym right after work 5 days a week for my lifting sessions and the rest falls into place.

Sadly, though, I'm not lean in any stretch lol. Oddly enough, my girl barely takes any time from me, but all the research I do on medical stuff seems to consume my entire life (can't stop until I finally get things resolved so I can live my life and work toward the body I want).

Looks amazing!

It was great.

I've really been enjoying preparing the potatoes on the skillet and seasoning them, lately. I've actually been cooking a lot more, lately, too. I enjoy it (just hate the clean-up afterward lol).

You wanna go camping? ;)

Nice bro oO so far i'm at the longest stretch of being single since I had a hard time getting over my past ex (10 months single now lol) and idk...somehow walking to the gym today I was wondering what it would be like to get back into that kinda rodeo again...I mean college/internships/workouts fill my time and life now...and I have grown accustomed to being alone and enjoying it...but damn bro , from the time I wake up to around 8pm all I can think is: "eat/lift/sh1t" but at around 9pm or so I start getting the kinda wish to get a girl again oO...then I go to bed wake up and repeat cycle...hence I don't even know how people fit all this lifestyle with a girl in their lives (specially with very needy clingy girls like the ones i dated lol) idk...I guess you just have to ease into it like you said oO

Yeah, you definitely have to ease into it and also find the right girl. You need to find someone who has her own life and doesn't need to be with you or checking on you 24/7. I was actually single for about 6 years or so. Dated a bit in between, but never anything that amounted to serious or more than a few dates.

Yeah...girls that are not an emotional train-wreck , along with a lot of baggage and sh1t on top of them are hard to find these days...let alone one with her life put together lol...I guess my new GF is my Squat rack...and my cheating mates are the barbells and dumbbells :)

part of this is why you shouldn't

 • consider using steroids till you are at least out of college
 • consider using steroids until you are working a stable job
 • consider using steroids until you are married

but at the same time, you can't let fitness/bodybuilding ruin your social life. I eat by IF, but if my wife wants to go out for breakfast (usually the morning after a late night drinking/shooting pool/screwing) I go eat breakfast. The difference in fat loss/muscle gain for one meal is negligible. In general too many guys have what I call "skinny white boy syndrome" where they are far too obsessive over tiny details that make next to no real practical difference, or maybe that 1-2% difference. you have to keep a life balance.

Is james ever going to come around again?

Yeah you are right on that...but also I have never considered steroids at this age oO...im far too young and newb at the gym to even think of that haha , maybe when i'm around 28+ with a decent job , prolly married , and if i have reached natty potential :p if not , well they can wait , i enjoy lifting as it is and it never gets me down that I don't lift half as much as the big boys...I just think that one day I'll get there with dedication ^^ , they didn't get there overnight either...

Oh and about the dog lol dude it was a joke...Jim said not to get serious on the internet haha , but yeah I would neg myself for that comment too...animals have a far bigger heart than many humans i know...

In all seriousness, this post is very commendable bro...and for that I owe you some reps as soon as I get to a computer that I can do so.

You are going about things in the right way, which is very rare these days. And you have a great attitude about everything as well. Bodybuilding is a marathon....not a sprint, and we spend a good part of our lives developing the physique we want to achieve.

Much respect for your post there bro!

Thanks brother :) , I figures if I'm gonna do something I gotta do it right , and all I've learned through years of seeing my BB friends , is that it takes years , and its something you do "for fun" or "for a while" its a lifestyle change...and seriously the way all this has brought my life back to its proper track makes me feel its more than worth it to take my time and enjoy it , also to make my best effort to put my mind and commitment into it, I've said it before bro , I have huge respect and admiration for yah , and for the rest of the big guys here who have spent YEARS developing their physiques, its truly remarkable and worth it bro! And heck , if I am young right now , don't have anything holding me back and someone like you had stayed clean for SO long and got such a swole and ripped physique , hell it just means I can get there too if I try hard enough and put my mind and back into it :p. Its kinda like the way I see college , its the best 4-5 years of your life right? Why rush it and come out early without learning all you can enjoying the ride while it lasts? The same with bodybuilding , why rush it and possibly injure yourself or mess up your body with gear you don't need at this age , when you can develop over time in a natural way and enjoy the ride for a much longer , safer and more satisfaction-filled ride :p

Thanks for the respect Rick :) , you know I have huge respect for yah bro and also a lot of motivation haha I wanna get to your age and be that ripped bro! :beerchug:

Don't make his oversized sasquatchian yeti Wookie head any bigger than it already is...

*inaudible wookie noises*

(translation: Shut up. And I'm going to neg Eric for outing me on my old picture.)

on the college part, don't let bodybuilding make you forget that college should also contain some heavy drinking weekend parties, and sex with random chicks at the parties.

just sayin ;) life balance.

Hahaha true that...I've had most of my freshmen , sophomore and part of my junior year...I just don't want to waste the chance I have at this kind of education atm :p and it kinda gets in the way of my macros getting some throwbacks here and there hehe...but yeah once a month I don't its that bad :p! Besides...chicks deserve some of the physique changes I have attained at the gym so far :D! Can't be an a*s and not share myself with em from time to time I guess :D!

What is all of this sensible speech going on in here?

see thats it at least you see part of it. The difference between 100% precisely optimal and 90-95% compliance is less than a pound of muscle mass a year. BFD. Someone has a wedding? Eat the damn cake. Unless you are on a competition path and plan to make bodybuilding competition your livelyhood, the difference isn't worth considering. Because you look at guys like this

and yeah, his view has SOME merits, but he's also ostracized himself from friends and family in the process. That doesn't work.

Couldnt agree more with yah oO...and yeah actually tomorrow I got a gig at bartendering , and at those weddings usually they give us the same food as the guests (and even more since there's always left overs) I always push a little bit harder on morning cardio those days but still have the cake and the food there haha , can't pass on catering dinners!!

I don't know what is worse, the fact you are holding him accountable to your ideals rather than what makes him happy or the fact you are getting all serious up in this place? ;)

I'll admit, this is the wrong thread for it :D Just trying to give him some things to think about given his backstory too.

Getting back on thread...I have not received the piece of clothing that smells like red velvet cake from my target...I am afraid I can not let this victim go unpunished any longer...he has bills due with the RecoverBro's...and I will be the harbinger of demise >:3!

I wish I wasn't so hungover and tired from yesterday. it was milagro silver tequila, some lite margarita mix, and the walmart 0 calorie lime sparkling water.
