Might be taking it easy on the deadlifts. I think next cycle what I will do is go easy on deadlift pre cycle then go ape shit on deadlifts while on cycle. Pretty sure that is what I did when I got up to 675. Think what I have done is worn my CNS a bit. Plus right now I am a bit heavy and that is no good. See what I can do to fix that. Trying to have some kind of method to my madness.

Lol it is an OLD video. Now that much weight would break my bitch ass lol.

Did arms today and just blew them up. They actually felt a little big. I am a little worried because I have to do back tomorrow and then chest on Tuesday. Dont want to be sore for those days. I sure ate for some recovery though. Measured my arms pre workout cold at a little over 18 inches. Pretty disappointing considering my weight and all.

Went up on most lifts today. Dont really try to go all that heavy or anything on arms. Try to make sure the lifts are good. Sure feels like I was doing it right. They were damn sore after a while but I kept beating them up. After my workout I tried to pop my post workout pills and I couldnt... ya I was that pumped lol. I ended up basically throwing them at my face.

Tomorrow should be back to lifting with Ben. Thinking I might take tomorrow off from deadlifts. Or atleast go a little easy on them. I know I say that now but who knows what happens when the weight starts being piled on.

Not easy to persuade someone set in their ways to try something new. That is the only good thing about working out with someone green. Found something but I will keep it under wraps for the most part. Figure I could mention it now so I dont forget later lol. Something I have kind of done before but without really knowing it and following it for time.

Started the patches a few days ago. First time with the HGH patch today. See how it goes. So far sleep with the melatonin patch has been pretty good. Having to put them on my feet or else they come off to easy. Might try other spot with tape.

Hmmm what is the best way to start a back workout?


Didnt go overboard on warming up. Just powered sped through some lighter weights. Only went up to 495 before maxing. Felt light doing the 635 honestly. A whole lot of speed.

Ben got 605 with enough ease. Said he saw some stars lol.

Then did some WIDE grip pull ups. These felt pretty easy. 12 reps on the 1st set which is a lot when you are pulling up 250 almost lol.

T-bar rows nothing crazy here but felt damn good on the ole back.

Narrow grip lat pull downs generated A LOT of force. Started moving the machine a lot lol.

Shrugs 315 for some reps

Easy back extensions to calm down

Calves of death. No other way to describe it. Let me know if you want some bigger calves. This routine should work for even Ben. I have a feeling I will be walking with pain tomorrow lol.

This was a damn good workout. Took a bit longer than I would have liked though.

Yes please tell need to get my calves going.

It doesnt sound like much but uhh it HURTS lol.

First exercise is seated calf raise. Big angle between ur calf and hamstring. It is really particular about the way you lift. Lower the weight slowly, pause at the bottom and stretch it, explode to the top, and really flex the muscle. Only use a 45 pound plate. The goal is quality reps. The bench mark is 30 reps. If you get way less than 30 drop the weight if you get way more than 30 add weight. You stop when you do 100 QUALITY reps. Rest between sets is only 30 seconds.

Calf press on leg press. 90 degree angle from legs and hip. 6 sets of 6-10 reps near failure. 2 minute rest between sets. On heavier loads slight bend in knees to protect them.

Last but not least is tibialis raises. Basically sit on a bench with a DB between your toes and raise it up. This description sucks but all you have to do is youtube it. 3 to 4 sets of 10 to 15 reps.

I didnt do this to a T last night and mine are hating me today. Cant wait to try it again. See how bad they feel when done full out.

The protocol was standing calf raises slow and controlled with full ROM with stretch at the bottom x15 then x8, 8, 8. Right after that you bounce the weight up and down with quick contractions about 20 times. Right after that you raise up on both feet (bodyweight only) and lower yourself doing a negative with only 1 foot (alternate feet). That whole thing is 1 set. I could only complete one.. they promise your calves will grow in 6-8 weeks

I'm trying a variation of it, but I workout in circuits, so I'm not breaking the circuits up for now. My calves were focking screaming though

Ehh Im sorry but I think I would have laughed too lol.

My calves actually dont feel to bad, but I didnt do the workout quite right. Will be punishing them on Thursday though. Honestly I dont feel like my calves NEED to grow but it feels good to put a beat down on them anyway lol.

Chest today was a pretty good success. Tried a new way to do incline and flat BB. Think I will be using this a little bit.

Incline: 135*3,155*3,175*3,195*3,215*3,235*3 These were explosive reps. Figured I would try it out.

Flat: 205*3,225*3,245*3,265*3,285*3,295*3 Again these were explosive reps.

High, med, low cable cross over 3 sets of each. This pumped my chest up beyond belief. Didnt have a pump from incline or flat.

Pec deck focusing on the squeeze at the top

Abs: leg raise, crunches, side bends

DB pull overs

Felt pretty strong today. Going to do a similar workout again next week except next week start with flat. Then the following week see where flat max is at.

This was a fairly quick paced workout. Got out of there about a little over an hour.

No real sides to report. Libido hasnt been a problem. The Transderm is seriously sticky. So far the Melatonin patches havent seemed to be a huge help, but we will see. Hard to keep them on honestly.
 
Ok I know 295 for 3 on flat bench doesnt sound impressive but that bar was moving lol.

Arms tomorrow so see how the elbows and all feel. Probably attacking triceps pretty hard. Then on Thursday doing legs. Probably do something similar for squats. Depending on the time I may or may not be lifting with Ben. I have my sleep study that night. Have to be there at 8:45pm. Which doesnt sound early but when you consider a shower and the amount of food I eat I cant lift too late.

He unbuckles his seat belt to get out of his car. Then he sees me so what does he do? Decides it is time to move. Doesnt even look to make sure I am not going just bolts out in front of me.

Alright time for the workout lol.

Geez the 1st exercise and I was sweating and pumped up QUICK! My chest even swelled up while doing tricep ext with a long rope. My arms got super pumped while lifting. Plus had some damn good strength. Used the whole stack on seated over head tricep ext on the machine. Used 60s on alternating DB curls. Didnt have a long lasting pump but left the gym craving more.

Saw a HORRIBLE sight while in the parking lot about to leave the gym. This old woman had a belly shirt on. Plus a pooch going on. It was one of those situations where you want to look away but cant believe it is actually happening. I couldnt tell if her stomach was exposed or not but I almost blew chunks.

Went and rented Dead Island :sgrin: Zombie blood will be in the air soon!

Tomorrow is leg day. Plan on doing squats in the same style as incline and flat. Going to get there early to do squats on my own. Going to be killing quads tomorrow I think. Plan on doing the same calf workout again. Hopefully they arent too sore tomorrow. Plan on running some stuff on them to help with soreness. The article makes it sound like a good idea to only do the routine once a week for atleast 3 weeks and then maybe bump up to twice a week.

Also tomorrow is the big day. Have my sleep study at 9pm. So I need to get my workout in early enough to shower and eat up. Kind of napped too much today. Hopefully I can sleep tonight and get on a decent enough schedule. They make you go to sleep kind of early. Plus they kick your ass out at 6 am lol.

Haha no I have a short temper and it flares up but cools off pretty quickly. Plus I saw my workout partner waiting for me at the door. I live in a town where it is normal to drive like crap lol.

Just got home from epic leg day. I feel beat ass tired. I might actually be able to fall asleep around 9pm lol. My head kind of hurts right now. Really pushed myself hard today.

Squats 6 sets of 3 reps starting with 285 working up to 405 with explosive reps. Then tried to get 495. Wasnt quite there I think it was a mental thing too. Big time jump for me. Will be trying 475 next time or so I say now lol.

Hipperdoodle lol Basically box squats with the weight load around your waist except today we didnt use a box. Did 3 sets of these and just BURNED quads down. These were done till they just burned and we couldnt stand anymore.

Vertical leg press up high for hams. 3 sets of high reps

Lying DB leg curls 3 sets till the legs gave out

Stiff leg deadlifts 3 sets of 10

Calve workout created to torture stupid souls who come across it and try it. Today it hurt so much worse.

That is true proof of your workout intensity, when you come close to being killed, and you response is "meh" id rather goto the car so I can sit.

Lol no it just opens up quite a bit when the heart center closes. So people use it to cut through traffic.
 
So Idk how much they are going to learn from my sleep study. Found it hard as hell to sleep. So many wires and stuff stuck on me. Felt like I would pull them off if I moved. Plus the bed and pillow were less comfortable than they looked. Not to mention my legs were so sore. They started to lock up on me. Had to keep moving them. Maybe it wasnt such a good idea to kill them like I did.

As soon as I got home I went straight to bed lol.

Dude have u seen what u r hooked up to? Lol it is not easy to sleep. Plus if you try to move the wires get pulled on. If you pull wires off the tech has to come and reapply them.

So far so good. I slept great when I got home lol. I think tonight is my 2nd time with the HGH patch. I have been getting good sleep lately I think. Had some wild dreams the other night.
 
Dead Island equals way too much fun lol. Better than I expected especially after I saw a review. But it was by a woman... No offense but some cant appreciate the finer things like KILLING ZOMBIES! Fan of being able to repair the weapons you upgraded(which the review made upgrading sound impractical stupid bitch lol). The online play is fun because you can just join random people. Only bad thing is you can get caught farther along the game. Although it ended up leveling me up QUICK and I snatched some big bucks up(which comes in handy for weapons).

Today is going to be a rest day. Figure I can do shoulders tomorrow. Shouldnt be all that tired from shooting. Really hoping to go shooting havent been in a good while.

Uhh that sleep study messed me up. Sleep the past few nights has been pretty crappy. Taking a few days to recover from my workouts. See how tomorrow goes might go lift. Got some yard work to do which is never fun. Weight is probably up but we will see.
