Alright another Asian in the log. Hit up some deadlifts. I dont want u to try and catch up but they r too fun not to do.
 
Tonight will be my first official dose of Blue GROWTH and I'll write about anything notable tomorrow. Today was back. I wanted to keep with my HIT style BACK workout, but I have something twinged and off about my lumbar, so I tried to do an HIT/5x5 style workout with vertical movements to alleviate any stress & aggravation to my lumbar.

I hit it with my new workout partner Dusty, who is basically my exact strength and that's perfect.

Great workout. We killed it in about 60 min, not a lot of rest. We rotate in & out and with the lower rep ranges, our rest time is cut down even further. I enjoy pushing it once we're well into the grind; sweat, pain and effort, my kind of fun.

Post Day 1

I woke up this morning at 214lbs, which was 2lbs lighter then I thought I'd be and I'm good with that.

I took my first dose of Blue GROWTH last night around 10:00pm. By 10:30pm, I could feel the drowsiness kick in and 10:48 was the last time I recall looking at the clock before I was out.

Much like HGHPro, Blue GROWTH gave me odd & vivid dreams. If anyone remembers the "Hesher" years, where a mix of 1960's culture was back in, mixed with the grunge trend at the time; Nirvana was all the rage and I guess people smelled like teen spirit back in the mid 90's. The look was long hippy hair, Doc Martin boots and flannels. I partook in the Hesher years and had really long hair, Doc Martin boots & flannels. In my dream last night, for whatever reason, I was running through my high school with my shirt off and with my long hair. I think it was on orientation day and for whatever reason, that made it alright. Then I was in a wedding party, where all the hot chicks from high school were there, including one I had a particularly hard crush on. I don't know what was up with these Sigmund Freud ID dreams I was having. At some point I was lost somewhere on a motorcycle, which I've never ridden one, then I was back home in Taiwan with my family at a Hotel and it was raining really hard. At some point of the dreams, i was a video game character buying items I think. I don't know, those are the types of odd dreams I get while on HGH night products.

My sleep quality was great. I haven't woken up feeling refreshed in a long time. I'm naturally a bad sleeper once I fall asleep and I'm a really bad falling asleeper, it's all bad.

I'm might hit incline chest morning and post vids on some of the more outrageous sounding lifts, apart from that, it's UFC 118 night!!!!!!

Thanks Ed. Even when I'm doing more intensity based lifts, I still like to keep the general volume high. I sometimes feel like we do too much, but my only firewall against dipping into over-training is that we keep our lifts within 50-60 min, before the catabolism starts doing MUCH more harm then good.
 
I read ur assisted as 305 lb pullups, u find that machine comfortable?

grab a step up and just try pulling your own weight for pullups. your strength will shoot up considerably not to mention the added core workout. try it or else :nono:

Oh no, assisted means I had my feet up on a bench with my two plates on my lap while I did pull ups, no machines.

Was this a very tall bench or a very low pullup bar? I'm 12, remember. Not the brightest crayon in the pack.

Sounds like weighted, inverted rows to me. :)

Resolve's suggestion is the closest. I do it off the Smith Machine. I set the Smith bar at a specific height, then I lift both my legs forward and onto the bench, so imagine the peak contraction of a hanging leg raise. Me arse is borderline touching the floor, my arms are fully extended and my legs are resting up and on a bench at a height, higher then me arse. At this point, my workout partner sets two 45lbs plates on my lap.

The lift begins like a pull up when I'm fully stretched, but ends in a bit of an inverted row at peak contraction.
 
I did incline chest yesterday, but I'm on schedule to hit chest again on Monday so it wasn't the best idea. However, my wife was at the gym with me doing cardio and I figured this would be the best time to get in some shots at the L.A. Fitness.

Cool vids Volcom. I see you're still utilizing the "off the handles Viking grip" on the Hammer Strength machines. I miss Thomas. I wonder whatever happened to him? :thinking: He was a very charismatic individual.

I like how on the second video with the 5 plates that you rest-paused between the 4th and 5th rep. Those machines are excellent for that. :thumbsup:

I can't fit in those friggin' HS machines for anything.

I feel your pain bro. At 6'4", lots of machines aren't exactly a perfect 36 if you know what I mean. I like machines that are adjustable to suit the taller athlete.

Thanks, TG. Yeah, I miss Thomas, too. Awhile back he started doing sponsored logs at BB.com and he was quasi-back & forth from here & there, but I think over time, he started to make BB.com his home. Sad times, he was one of my first e-friends at AM, and he was the person who suggest that more shoulders excluding and chest inclusive, almost like a fly "Viking Grip."

There were two high school football kids to my left doing hammer wide presses and in between my 4 plates and 5 plates sets, one of the kids said to his friend before he started his set, "I'm about to make myself look like a bitch," lol.

LOL, too swole for the machines. The only time I'm too big for anything is when I take over driving of my wife's car and she has her seat pulled way up so I always bang my knees.

It was an alright day today. I felt a little fatigued from the start and was yawning a lot, but I went to bed a bit too late last night. I'm hoping my numbers improve and I'm considering upping the strength aspect and bring down the volume a bit.

lol, I know. I wasn't suppose to hit chest Saturday, but it fit into the ability to video, so I hit a Sat solo chest and my official Monday chest with my workout buddy. Everyday chest reminds me of high school kids just learning to lift, lol.

My wife is a sleep talker and the other night she rolled over me and off the bed, then she started to have a conversation with me. Last night she actually sat up and I thought, "wtf, time to call the exercist..." she's an active sleeper for sure. I may need baby guards to keep her from rolling off the bed. She rolled off last night and drop kicked our internet modem, lol.

Thanks AG. I'm not knowing that feeling at the moment.... TMI alert. The other week we discovered in the morning that my condom broke, so we had an unplanned baby scare (long story short she was off her birth control). Now she's back on and we're waiting for the one month time for it to kick in. That whole "what if" we're pregnant period aged me a good 5 years.
 
The Blue GROWTH drowsiness effects kicked in real nice last night and I would have had some great sleep had my wife not gone "last exercist" on me. I'm surprisingly not sore from a chest workout, so i wonder if the Blue GROWTH is having an extremely positive effect on my recovery. Also, I took it on an especially empty stomach last night, which I did not the day before and it makes a black & white difference. Must take on empty stomach, and by empty, I was about two hours apart from last feed.
