I actually use my belt quite often as i find it helps keep my stomach tight and it helps prevent the dreaded "COLEMAN ABS" when your stomach is pushing hard to stay tight. But that's just my opinion...So it really doesn't mean much when there's no science behind it.

I've been meaning to ask you if you were doing uni-lateral exercises for the good leg.
Some heavy single-legged leg presses are spectacular. Even if you're not injured. It's a good way to mix up things up.
But this way you can keep your good leg's strength up to maximum levels while re-habbing the repaired knee. Go heavy with the good leg and light with the bad one until it catches up.

His abs were fairly messed up even before he hit the sauce though. I think it may correlate to all that pressure on the stomach wall during heavy lifts. But like i said before, that's just my own opinion.
 
It is both, the belly out/belly full training of powerlifting trains them out to make a thicker tree trunk if you will, to support the weight as opposed to doing them with a body building intention and forcing yourself to keep your core cinched in. However growth hormone and oversized internal organs are the cause of most professionals bloating. When you train your abs out the distend when you train them in the girdle stays tighter keeping them in closer to your spine.

And that is intentionally sucking in his gut all day long. It keeps the abs tight and flexed. You can't just let you gut hang out and unflexed. It will droop and sag. LOL
I truly believe this practice helps.

But the GH is what is doing the turtle shell stomachs on these guys. It doesn't just make your muscles grow, but your internal organs as well as MrKleen alluded to. .
I'm not sure this is a healthy thing either.

I intend to never use GH myself. Just the Test.

I think it's because they use high amounts of HGH, people who use it for anti-aging don't experience this or I have not heard that they did...

No matter the money you couldn't get me to do what those guys have to in order to be competitive. It's one thing to run hormonals to reach your goals, its another to have to live off of them just to put food on the table like many of these guys do. Sorry, not my bag baby. :ntome:

had a great lift today! I think the Titanium is really kicking in now. I feel full and strong all the time, and the Alpha feeling is there just enough to keep it under control. So far I am very impressed with this new product!!!

The Lift
Shoulders
Military Press - ok doing these SUCKS without a spotter. The bench we have here has the rack where the BB sites so far back that taking it off aggravates my old shoulder injury... baaaaaaaaaaa so had to keep it a little lighter than I wanted
4 sets up to 155... I know not that impressive, but the reps were many and clean. felt the old injury start to peek...
Front raises with 45's
Side raises with 40's
Up Right rows - on cables 4 sets
Reverse pec deck - 3 sets

Biceps - the arms were crying for heavier weight
Hammer Curls - 5 reps of the following
45's, 55's, 65's, 75's (only 4 reps on the last)
Cable curles 2 hands
4 sets
1 arm curls on the HS preacher bench
4 sets with 1 plate and a 25lb plate
Hercules curls
4 sets up to 70 per side

15 min bike

was pretty happy with the lift today. Got between 10-15 on most sets aside from the hammer curls!

Previous injury or not, I hate trying to do seated military w/o a spot for that very reason. Sure I don't want to crack my dome piece racking the weight after a set, but I also don't want to rip my shoulders out of the sockets just getting into position.

Anything over 95lb I get someone to help me get into position. It's just too awkward a motion without assistance.

Have you ever done front raises on an incline bench with just the barbell? Do a 5 count up and down. 45lb never hurt so good. It's also a nice piece of humble pie. I can't get more than 5-71/2 lb added to each side doing those. It's just too intense.

Digging those curls man. I've never tried curling anything over 40 or 45lb per arm.

I'll post some pictures of my leg I had a very bad accident, I was originally told I might loose the leg after after multiple operations they said I'd never walk without a crutch then they said I'd never walk without a limp.

Wasn't having any of that

again felt like a slug!!! Moved slow and just powered through the workout the best I could... Felt like my pores were trying to push out all the crud in the body... Man I need to eat better over the weekends!!! These bloating carb hangovers are killing me!!!

Yeah I did the same thing this weekend and I am not proud of it. My workout will be a doozy later I am sure... Regardless Major, you still pushed and hammered out a solid workout. That is what I got out of your post ;).

Do you do any type of damage control when you cheat on the weekends? Apple cider vinegar before/after bad food? Potassium after salty food? Slin before carb-tastic food? Lots of fiber after really bad food? Mix AND match, it's the Bob-way! :bigok:

I know I wouldn't cheat without any of those tricks for the reasons you're describing. I just feel horrible otherwise.

it was nice and easy. Trying to get the knee rehabbed and the stomach a TINY bit smaller... ok maybe a BIG bit smaller... :rasp: no need to rub it in... jerk!!! lol :stooges:
 
Keep up the good work Major. I did the big carb weekend too. I felt a little rough yesterday but today I feel great and look nice and full some of the water is already off of me. By this weekend I should look noticeably better with a slighly faster metablism due to eating big for a few days.
