salad with spinach, cucumber, green pepper, onions and still havent decided on the dressing :D :D

5-6 oz mock tender chuck steak and sum broccoli

Fiddna whip up 6 oz chicken with some veggies tho

4 oz top sirloin and 3 slices of bacon---- YEAH BUDDY LIGHTWEIGHT

yea this is called ketogenesis. it works well to keep someone "shredded" but youre gonna have a hard time putting on any mass without carbs

even the keto diets suggest a "refeed" where glycogen supercompensation creates immense anabolism

i guess it depends on your goals, but for bodybuilding purposes i feel that carbs are essential

True, it is easy to gain 15-20 pounds during a cycle when consuming 300-400 grams of carbs a day, but that weight is mostly water retention.
It is definitely harder to gain weight when all you pack on is straight lean muscle, but I am pleased enough with even a pound a month.

breakfast 2-greek yogurts over high fiber cereal

to keep the thread alive............ 1C oats, 2 eggs, 1/2 C egg whites chopped veggies, 6 oz milk, syntha 6, sum fish oil

Yea the paleo people call it the 30 day challenge. OH! and i almost forgot... Ive become much much less sensitive to the sun. this is something ive talked to people about on paleo forums. no sunscreen ever and barely any burn at all. even when i do burn it doesnt even last 2 days and turns into tan. this is coming from a seriously white dude. im super tan right now and havent used sun block more than just a dab here and there.

try to get ur GF to kick the sugar at least, that sh#t will lead straight to diabetes

This is likely from the alkalinic effect of Paleo. Having a more alkaline pH will lead to less whole-body inflammation.

fat fat fat wheres the fatttt

at least take some fishoils

I cook my chicken in lots of olive oil and I did take fish oil two hours prior. I try to include fats in every meal possible.

Just woke up (off day)

2 whole ggs, 2 egg whites
1/4C oats
1 scoop of whey

Right?? I often cook in peanut oil, olive oil, take in some natty pb, eat almonds, avacados (when I remember to buy em), and consume 10g of fishoil daily.

On the days I eat more fat I look leaner the next morning, and I feel better throughout the day. Ive been reading through the thread and see your argument for carbs only coming from fruits and green vegetables. I think the body's reaction to complex carbs truly varies from person to person, but I find your argument interesting nonetheless. Perhaps in the future I will try giving the Paleo diet a go, but the only problem is I love dairy LOL. I can do without complex carbs and eat fruits and veggies day in day out, but if I can't get some dairy in it might make it tough. That's just me though.

In regards to the thread title, the last thing I ate was 7 eggs, fried in peanut oil, 2 bananas, fishoil, epi, and my support supps LOL..

Heating up a chicken breast from yesterday as I type this :32:

man, how do some of you eat so much!? haha I had a lowfat kefir "milk smoothie" some little yogurt thing, and a bowl of "go lean" cereal and i was full!

For one.. The heat makes me hungry. Lifting makes me hungry. Thinking about new food makes me hungry. I take probiotics to help digest my food. I'm fat. Try gorging for a couple weeks and tell me your stomach doesn't stretch a little ;)

also ive never seen any studies or trials done to show that carrying more water helps athletic performance

Though there are studies showing that carrying less water reduces performance.

It depends on your sport, if you run marathons then it is a different boat vs bodybuildng or playing baseball.

haha true, back before when I didn't care what I ate I did eat a lot! but I guess I'm used to "dieting" if you wanna call that, I eat around 1,800 calories of food, and im full for the day! but I bet I can only eat more if i just snuck some chips in, those I could eat bags of! lol

if you're aiming for a higher protein diet you can probably squeeze in an extra 400-800 calories by consuming 1 to 2 protein shakes and a scoop of peanut butter here and there.. Or even cooking with a little more healthy fat like olive oil. Oh and almonds. They are a very calorie rich snack. 180 calories and about 12grams of fat and 6grams of protein per serving

And I feel ya. I "diet" as well, and normally I do try and eat smaller meals more frequently throughout the day, it definitely helps to eat more lol

sad part is, I usually have a like a 400 calorie protein shake somewhere in there after working out, which is about 5 times a week. :x hahaha

it really depends on your body type... i suppose when dieting, you may want to take this route to maximize lipolysis.

all in all, i think the topic is very debatable and both sides are logical to an extent before you reach the individual variablity aspect where body types play an important role on what diet one should implement

i also read that a less hydrated cell equals a more catabolic cell

u gotta step up to the big 14.75 oz can!! for some reason they are only 80 or so cents more

WOW... Nice amount of fat too, bet it goes down a lot easier than tuna. LOL

yea i eat salmon/tuna straight up out of the can so yea salmon is a little easier. it also comes with bones and skin! extra fat and calcium!!

I dont know how I would do with the bones. They might be good for you but I don't think i'd be too big on the texture. What's the brand called again? Im gonna see if they have them at Sams or if I can get it online.

I wish they made canned mahi. I would eat it every day. Mahi mahi is where its at

oh its all cooked so theres no texture really, you can barely notice you are eating it. you can buy any brand. I prefer Red Salmon to pink, more fat. right now in front of me i got Bumble Bee wild alaska sockeye red salmon. the cost is higher than tuna obviously because its salmon. check out any can fish sections in any store. i eat these things at work, people cant stand it hahahah
