Army Guy goes Destruction Mode clothed in PINK!!

or a movie... I can see it now... ghetto kid on the monkey bars helps the US Olympic team win the gold with his uncouth approach. Disney will make millions... we can call it the ghetto Rudy!!! LOL it IS impressive though!!

I wonder what would happen if someone told them that they were performing gymnastics.

I wonder what would happen if someone told them that they were performing gymnastics.

They'd use their 52 Blocks Martial Arts on you, but then someone might tell them Muay Thai has been mastering elbow strikes before we were even America.

All that ghetto fitness stuff, allegedly originated as the primary strength & conditioning training for their ghetto martial arts, "52 Blocks." Which they infuse Muay Thai elbows (only elbow strikes, nothing else) with Break dancing moves, like liquid popping for the sake of distraction. It looks like a version of drunken Muay Thai with boxing footwork.

Uhm.... I bet the guy who started it know but won't tell his friends he took tumbling /gymnastics before he got "Hard in da streetz!"

You are a plethora of knowledge Volc!

The guy with the black headgear is demonstrating defensive 52 Blocks, notice all that unnecessary movement. I guess there are regular punching strikes in 52 Blocks, but they look about as technical as a round ball.

52 Blocks sounds a lot like the 32 Chambers (of Shaolin)

Thus far, what are the overall impressions of Pink's effects on your body and training?

more than anything it is giving a recomp like effect on me. There are no huge strength gains, just a few small ones thus far. Because of my knee going out last week, I have not been able to do legs or cardio, but I am still leaning out a bit. There is no explanation other than PM for this because my diet is... well... you already know that one!!! LOL
anyways, USP wants to make it the center of their Asteroid stack, and IMHO I think it will rock there. I think it will take hold of that kind of stack, Natadrol and SWOLE as well, and magnify the results. DW is having similar results, but he is on Asteroid with it. He is seeing gains in strength despite losing upwards of 30 lbs during this contest cut he is on. He actually had to stop cardio a few times because he was recomping and cutting TOO fast... if that is even possible. He saw large strength increases in weeks 3-4. I am on 3 now so I anticipate some great things for the last 2 weeks!!

see what you mean on the extra body movements!!! These guys look like fish out of water, but it also seems VERY effective as well!!

I should have asked this earlier, and please excuse me if it's already been answered, but what is SWOLE and who makes it? I'm curious...

no problem bro! SWOLE is by Anabolic Innovations and consist of:
TestPro
STOKED
and GLYCOBOL

you can find it here on NP

Check a few of Kleen's older logs. He has run it very successfully. I will add it into my recomp this summer with a few other goodies from LG and USP

It's a good one and it will be fantastic with HGHPro

I can't tell what I'm benefiting from HGHPro yet, apart from actually sleeping through the entire night, which you've mentioned that a good sleep has it's own score of inherent benefits and I tend to agree.

Interesting stuff, I think however that the strikes were very deliberate and perfectly timed. Looks like they modified the foot work to give them a better more stable base to work from so they could get power out of strikes coming out of seemingly unstable positions. Many of the strikes are very Kenpo / Kempo oriented in nature. Lots of close quarters strikes, tons of backhands coming from over, under and around after perrying any shot thrown. Is it new, now just a lot of great stuff rolled into one. Looks like they chose to go backwards from boxing and build on the chaotic not the systematic.

Would anyone expect a clean shot from this angle with this footing? No, okay let's figure out how to make this odd unexpected strike functional for us everytime since it is when other fighters are trained that they have a moment to refocus while you "should" be getting back into a striking position you are already striking them. I like it.

I already practice throwing shots from all kinds of angles that no one expects. I am a real pain in the arse to spar with during striking. I keep my hands busy, and lots of body movement, keeps you dynamic. You notice the body movement gets him into position to throw even though his foot stance looks like he should't be able to. Also that when perrying the shots the perry does not have any wasted movement as it is the initiation of the strike to come.

agree with all Kleen. It would actually be enjoyable training that way. I'm with you when it comes to striking. Keep the hands busy and use my reach. (wiping tear) sooooo many fond memories!!!

Feeling the RUSH Muahahahahaha

Had to hurry this one up to meat some Cadets at the school to kill them in PT this morning.

a great start to a great day my friends!!!

I have done this and it is AMAZING as far as results. Def a nice change in pace. I can say I honestly had better results with it than DC or drops alone. Man I miss the simplicity of DC

...and man..WOW!! :clap2: That was a phenomenal workout! Those #s are crazy!

..oh and good morning AM. Feels like today will be a good day :)

To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late.

And what'd we learn today? Don't be late!

looking out the window in the 33 degree weather... I currently have a smile on my face. I walk outside to where the cadets are sweating and struggling, a warm beverage in my hand, the smile increasing... my NCO looks at me with a twinkle in his eyes and longing in his expression. I nod my head. An evil smile overcomes him as he begins yelling at the top of his lungs for these "maggots" to grab those sandbags and start running up and down the small hill we have here. there are groans... I smile knowing this will get my NCO riled up all the more. He starts chasing them while yelling every expletive known to man. They run like 6 year old school girls being chased by a Rottweiler on steroids and a Thundergod workout routine. Again I smile, sip my warm beverage, and quietly walk back into my warm office to type this out.

I think you just won your own quote of the day! Great workout and even better follow up with watching the maggots squirm. You had damn well better hurry up and wait until I get there pukes! Now the big question is what special treatment the did the platoon and squad leaders get for allowing that to happen? Quick get out there and make them do walking lunges with uneven bags on each shoulder. That way it is even harder to balance, then they will really understand what core training is... Oh what fun being a DI for a day would be!!!

AG you are going to have some seriously winded cadets on your hands... lunges are definitely in order along with some burpees until one of them pukes! I can picture you in the office right now man, classic stuff big guy!

This deserves some quality eye candy:

I wish I had my camera!!! he said that one kid actually started crying!!! It was when they were low crawling across the field with a few sandbags on their backs!!! He was one that got the mud! ohhhh the joy (sigh and wiping tear from corner of eye with smile of satisfaction on face)

Pure evil. I love it :)

alright so I woke up with every intention of doing some pool work, but alas... pool full again, and with the knee the way it is (I see a specialist on Monday at 9:20) there was no way I could do something involving legs... heck getting up and down the stairs in my house right now kills me.
So I am back at the ROTC office about to kill some kids in sandbag PT yet again... my NCO has that devilish smile again, but this time it isn't punishment so he and I will be enjoying the pain with them... just no leg stuff for this kid.
let the pain begin

Buahahahahaha!!! and YOU are the reason I never became a scientist!!!! darn smart people!!!! lol :fing02:

holy crap have you guys seen some of the deals on NP right now???? Some SICK sales going on!!! Time to load up baby!

DAm its alot to read and catch up too but NICE WORK MY FRIEND. . I think thats all that really needs to be said that or DAM!

Tales of the crippled lifter!!
alright guys, when I went to the doctor's a bit ago about the knee, he shook his head, was silent, and kindly referred me to a surgeon. I have the appointment Monday. I do NOT want another knee surgery!!! It took nearly 18 months to recover from the last one where they rebuilt the shredded meniscus with about 30 stitches!!! Still can't bend the left knee past 90 degrees!!!
I was going to blow off the appointment, but when I stood and stretched this morning before hitting the gym, alas, another POP, but this time on the inside of the knee. I hit the floor I am sad to say...
BUT, being a true warrior, I wasn't going to let a little discomfort dissuade me from the gym, so I grabbed my gear, popped a few Lucidrol to help keep the focus, and limped to the car.
So, without further ado... the Lift

SHOULDERS
Seated DB Press: (everything was seated today. The knee couldn't handle anything standing
40's x 15 - 70's x 10 - 75's x 7 - 80's x 5 (decent numbers, but wanted to hit the 90's today... I really need a spotter to help get that first one up!!!)
Cable upright rows:
120 x 10 - 140x10 - 160x10 - 170x8
Crazy front raises and rotate to the sides: No idea what the name is lol but they suck!!! I can do 50's on front raises, but once you lift them and pause, then rotate to the sides, and then pause, then bring down... PAIN
15's x 10 - 20's x 10 - 25s x 8
Machine behind the head press: never used this machine before... felt odd pushing the grips from so far behind the head
120x10 - 175x8-5-3 (16) - 120x8
Reverse Peck deck:
120x10 Did this 4 times

Then I looked around the gym at all the leg equipment... sighed, and walked past the cardio stuff... I haven't been able to hit cardio in 2 weeks now... Then I see it... tucked in the corner with cobwebs and dust on it... a stationary hand bike!!!
I jumped on and did 10 so/so minutes before I had to get to work. Will hit this thing up as much as possible from now on after lifting. Not the best for cardio, but it did elevate the heart a tad bit!!!

Hate that the bad wheel is holding you back, but you are making the smart decision. mad props on the handi-cap handbike cardio thought bro! Gotta do what you gotta do!

Sorry to hear the news from the doctor. Awesome that you still got up and did shoulders.

Awesome that they had the hand bike there for you AG. Good luck on Monday.

Sounds like you pushed it a little too far, that's what you get for being tough...I am going to have to consider some knew rehab, I thought it was getting better but last night was tough.

thanks guys, and the retarded part is, I didn't injure it with lifting. I was walking down the steps to my home and one of the boys ran by me. I turned slightly to grap the little sucker and POP... it was all down hill from there. I was hitting around 700 on leg press again, and was finally getting the range of motion back in the knee for squats. was going to go for 225x15 today... it also takes me from doing deads. Was at SLDs 315 for about 10 unstrapped and regular deads for around 400 (strapped)... it took forever to get back to these #s, though they are still down 25% from what they should be, especially squats... Once I figure out what the doctor wants me to do, I guess I will just take it from there.
Here's to hoping it's some strange strain or sprain.
