quoting for truth. youre looking much leaner in every picture. and i feel fatter everytime you post up a new one.

oh the joy of bulking :pizza::food:

Eh, "bulking" is overrated. Keep the cals moderate. It has treated me well over the last couple months.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. I'm definitely pretty happy with how things are going. I'm sure it could go a little better if I tweaked certain aspects of my diet/supplementation, I just don't know what the trouble areas are. Hopefully I will see some improvement once I start eating beef in Meal 4.

Today is an off day. I'm going to run some errands, do some grocery shopping, take care of some yardwork, and get a head-start on a couple essays.

Hope everyone is doing well today.

Cheers.

You're seeing improvement now, man, but I do understand what you mean.

Finding that "sweet spot" where everything is at an optimum is always a tough goal to reach. But that experimentation is always one of the cool parts of bodybuilding; finding what works for the individual.

I don't think I'm ever completely content with every aspect of my bodybuilding; however, if at any time in my life I should be, it would have to be now.

That'll do you some good!- You'll be getting more nutrients eating beef and almonds than protein powder will give you. - iron in the meat, lots of calcium in the almonds.

Just picked up 2.2lbs of ground beef at the store! Going to cook some up in a couple hours. Excited to have this back in my diet.

A couple quick supplement updates I wanted to point out. Some of these I've already mentioned, some I haven't.

1) 5g Leucine will be added to Meal 4's shake, Meal 6's shake, and to my intra-workout drink.

2) Until further notice, there will be no RPM or any other stims, with the exception of coffee.

3) T-911 is now dosed 1tab Pre-Workout, 1tab in between Meal 2 and Meal 3, 1tab with Meal 4.

4) 10mg Tamoxifen EOD

5) An additional teaspoon (3.6g) of BA will be added to my intra-workout drink this week, making for a total of 10,800mg BA every day. If I notice greater endurance/stamina in my workouts, I will continue this dosage, otherwise I will drop it back down to 7,200mg.
Lookin great dude! Could you explain your use of tamox during this T-911 run (I apologize if I missed something). I grabbed some during the LG 50% off sale (still going on actually on their website).

I'm overly cautious of any new AIs ever since I had a problem with 6-bromo causing gyno flareup. During the first week of T-911, my right nipple felt a little sensative for a second and it freaked me out. It was probably nothing, but I'm just making sure I don't have any issues with it.

Meal 4 Change:

Instead of Shake/PB I've changed it too...

8oz 93/7 Ground Beef
2 cups of steamed broccoli
2tbsp fat-free sour cream
Various spices on beef

Does anyone have anything against the fat-free sour cream, diet-wise? I saw Viking use it in his log and it looked good, so I added some to the beef/broccoli mixture and it was great. First time I've really ever used the stuff.

Any particular reason that this meal doesn't contain any fat?

In my opinion, reduced fat or full fat sour cream would be better to use because the meal you have above doesn't seem to contain any fat. Yes, sour cream contains saturated fat, but that doesn't mean it is bad for you. Saturated fat is only bad in excess, like most other things. Organic sour cream, if available, is better because it will have a better fatty acid profile, even including some omega 3's and CLA.

Don't forget the beef! Plenty of fat included in that. It's lean, but not fat-free. :p

Nice 4th meal change! I'd love to be able to pull out my midday shake, and still might... It's more a factor of time/convenience at the moment.

I LOVE ground beef, it's so versatile. I brown some with seasonings, and toss it into my morning eggs or into a salad, or eat it plain with some veggies or rice. I don't think I could ever get sick of beef, which is a huge bonus.

This is why I've changed it. I used to have the shake because it was quick and convenient, but now I have the time to actually eat a meal, so I figured why not change it? It was more cost effective and convenient having the shake, but the whole meal is much more satisfying, and it pleases my body, so it's worth it.

Good call. I'm a big fan of whole-food. You just can't beat it nutrient wise. I love working out with 1/4 oatbran before and 1/4 after lol. Actually I could probably eat oat-bran all day. I'll have to experiment with some massive Corosolic Acid doses and oatbran. With the right spices/protein, it is amazing. I'm excited to try ATW's Wild Berry protein actually, should go well.

Oh yea, back to the thread lol. FF Sour cream is fine, it's like skim milk vs. homo.

but the whole meal is much more satisfying, and it pleases my body, so it's worth it.

maybe its because im running on 2 hours of sleep, but after reading this, i started cracking up.

something about letting the beef please your body haha

alright then. carry on....

Day 21

Weight: 170.5lbs (+2.5lbs):woohoo:

Today marks the end of three weeks on T-911. Things have been going great. As you can see, my weight is increasing while simultaneously leaning out.

I hit shoulders today and had a great workout; however, I must say, I am REALLY missing my stims. I've been off of RPM for a week, and ECY for at least three weeks now. I can't wait to load up on Reset AD and hop back on the stim-train. WOO! WOOOOO!

Today's Exercises:

Atlantis Standing Lateral Raise
DB Front Raise
WG BB Upright Row
Smith Military Press

(Superset)
BB Shrugs
Reverse flies

20 mins on Stairmill

Pump was solid. Strength was up considerably on all exercises. My hands are real torn up from the weights today and I love it!

I'll probably take a nap in a few minutes, and then do homework the rest of the day.

Damn 3 weeks already!!! Time is flying by!

Atlantis lateral raises? Sounds interesting. mind explaining them?

Atlantis is just a brand of machines. You stand on a platform and there are two arms on each side of you that you lift up in the motion of a lateral raise. Very good for concentration.

Also by the way, the one time use has been lifted. Use as much as ud like until the first of december i beleive it is!

Order away!

kickass! (cartman voice)

That's what I've been telling everyone! I'm done with the whole bulking/cutting nonsense. I think a strong majority just take it way too far. You don't need to eat 3k+ calories above maintnence to gain muscle.

I'm going to keep my cals in a moderate range and adjust them according to what my goals are. It doesn't take much to go from weight loss to muscle growth; it's all about the consistency of your diet. 500cals can make all the difference.

Glad to see you're back, DF. It sounds like you've had a few stressful days. Don't you go dyin' on me! :p

Day 22

Slammed quads today...hard. By the time I got to squats my legs were so wibbly-wobbly I could barely keep myself up, but even that couldn't stop me from increasing my strength!

Yes, once again, strength was up on all exercises, especially the Alternating Leg Press. :woohoo:

Today's Exercises:

Leg Extensions (6 sets)
BB Hack Squats (5 sets)
Alt. Leg Press (5 sets)
BB Squats (6 sets)
HIIT; 12 intervals @ 30/60 on spin bike

I listed my set-scheme for anyone that didn't catch my post on it a while back. Reps usually are 14,12,12,10,8 for the 5-set exercises and 14,12,10,10,8,6 for 6-set exercises.

I still have a pump going. Knees are shot. Quads are beyond fatigued...they're dunzo! Ahhhh, I LOVE this feeling!

Appetite was pretty crappy post-workout. I've still been having some trouble with this. I dread eating my post-workout meal because I know it's going to be a 45min ordeal trying to shove food down my throat. The good thing is that it's only PoWO that I've been having this problem. I haven't had any issues with my other meals.

Nap time!

Nice workout man! Rest up! Now is alternating leg press just you alternate your legs each set? So it would be 5 sets each leg? (10 sets total)? Funny you mention this - Ive been thinking of doing alternating legs for all leg exercises

Yes, that's all it is. I do it on your standard Leg Press / Sled. It really seems to be helping my quad development and separation.

I have problems with my post workout meal too. something about being all heated up makes me not hungry

x2 my appetite is non existent post w/o

I love doing one-legged leg presses on the horizontal Leg Press machine. I feel like I can get a much better stretch, greater range of motion, and much better contraction doing them there as opposed to on the leg press sled.

Also, you say Barbell Hack Squats .. You hold a barbell behind your back/under your butt, and squat down?

I agree with you 100%. They feel great.

Yep! I love them. It takes some finesse. I've got it down where I kind of swing the bar at the last second before it would normally hit my butt...I've got a big butt to work around. I pretty much had the form down solid today. It was only my third time doing them.

***
Legs are CRUSHED at this point. I just got back from my buddies wedding...It was a smaller wedding on the beach, and there weren't that many chairs, so I was standing the whole time and had to lock my knees so I wouldn't fall over.

My quads are real torn up, but my glutes are even worse. They are really achey.

Sound like you went hard enough to gratify yourself with come cheat-meals this evening or this weekend . . You've earned it ! Damn, I miss that feeling of tearing apart and pumping up your legs . . I've got my first leg session in a month coming up this weekend.

Man, I haven't had a cheat meal for three weeks. I just skipped out on one tonight. Everyone was going to Olive Garden after the wedding, but I had to come back here and get some HW done. Papers, finals, etc. Bleh. Oh well.

Make sure you guys check out my Reset AD log that I just put up! It's time to get these stims working again!...

That is some dedication! I have a hard time not cheating, especially when with friends... Resolve never does. :frustrate: <------as you see it is a little frustrating.

Ya, it's hard eating out at restaurants and sticking to a diet. Who wants to order a chicken salad when you can get a big, juicy angus hamburger for the same price?! Not me!

I'm a very scheduled person, so that keeps me from going out a lot. It kills my social time, but it's good for my training. I still have fun with friends once in a while, but I don't go out much. I'm more of a "trip" person. I love to go on trips and travel when I take weeks off from the gym. I usually save my unhealthyness for those weeks... :p

Yeah. When I am home cheating is never a problem. I don't crave it, and I don't need it. It's when I'm out and about with friends and that bowl of Chex Mix is sitting on the table staring at me, begging me to take just a handful...then it is nearly irresistable. :( I like to spend time with people, especially my close friends, so I have to practice saying "No!" to the Chex Mix frequently. :p I'm getting better at it. At least it literally doesn't "argue" back.

Ugh! Foods like that are the HARDEST thing to stay away from. Chex Mix, Goldfish, Wheat Thins, Sun Chips, etc. - I used to have cheat nights that consisted only of those foods. I'd eat a whole bag of the stuff.

Heck yeah, I had countless chex mix "refeeds" before deciding that maybe adhering to a more moderate, clean diet might be a better way to go for the long haul. The little brown melba toast in the regular mix were always my favorite part...

Mmmmm yes. I always like to suck all the moisture out of those pieces. By the end of the night, the roof of my mouth is all torn up.

AGREE, the theory is only popular because it is MUCH easier to over do it calorie-wise and be in the "safe zone of gaining", than it is to stay on the borderline between :

just enough :bb2:/too much :donut:
Not to mention the serotonin boost you get from :donut:

while i completely agree it is ridiculous, im currently doing it haha. tho, im much younger than most of the people here in terms of training. im constantly learning what works for me and what doesnt. im still building a solid base of muscle IMHO. my strength is much higher than for my size, but im totally cool with that.

and ive already proven to myself i have what it takes to drop the fat. and i have to admit, i really like the challenge.

my theory: bulk for a serious amount of time. maybe take a couple months to trim up a little, nothing crazy, and then shoot up the cals again. repeat. plus id like to compete in either powerlifting or bodybuilding, and i know i need a lot more mass before i can compete
in either.
