Volcom's, Controlled Labs' - Look good in dem BLUE GENE(s), Sponsored Log

I'm not as smart as the rest of these guys, but that sounds pretty damn good to me.

What kind of BCAA's are you taking? Reason I ask is I believe that there is synergy between cituline malate, BA & creatine... (Or am I making that up?) And Xtend contains CM. Either way, looks pretty good to me.
 
Vag juice is what I was thinking!! Nothing beats "bloomer pudding" for a base compound. :lol: I was thinking cystal light really. But I would like to have some kind of flavoring like a glacier-freeze, ice, frost,.......you get the picture. That kind of taste.

You know... I had a sample of that Anabolic Halo by MuscleTech... As much BS as that company spews and the price they charge... That had the coolest flavoring system. It actually made your throat feel cold when you drank it. I felt like a 190 pound frost dragon.

I may even go ahead and throw in my vanilla whey protein in this drink and forego any other flavoring. Make it an all-in-one pre-workout nutrition/volumizer/energizer/fatburner/muscle-builder drink!! I'll call that flavor the "Vanilla Gorilla"!! I may have to market this sh!t. :toofunny:

So I'm ordering all of the following in bulk and am going to make my own Thundergod's Lightening Strike Pre-Workout Drink!!! I'm ordering it all from NP. Bulk powders of AAKG, Cordyceps, Beta-Alanine, BCAA's, and Creatine Ethyl Ester (CEE). Then I've got a stim-complex that I'll take with it. ECA (which I already have) plus 1,3-dimethylamylamine, and some Yohimbine HCL. I'll use all of this pre-workout for my natty run after this cycle is over. It sounds like fun to me!! How does this pre-workout drink sound to you guys??!!

CEE, I would do pre and post-workout, and probably another 2 g before bed. (I do 2-3g, 2-3, 2-3g - pre/post/nighttime). Beta Alanine; I'm personally a fan of doing a full 4-5 grams intra-workout. begin sipping ten minute before you hit the gym. I don't do Beta Alanine following training - in my opinion (experience) I experienced better effects utilizing a greater amount of BA Intra-workout, as opposed to intra AND following workout out. BCAA's, i'd dose them intra AND post-workout, 10-20 grams each serving. AAKG, I would personally SKIP. Imo, Beta Alanine is the only one you need for any additional stamina/endurance/vascularity/pump. Cordyceps never really intrigued me . . but i'd feel confident the 1,3-dimethylamylamine would keep my well being up as well as increase physical performance and energy . .

Yohimbine HCL never did anything for me, not even @ 15 mg/day (2, 2, 2 caps). And the ECA; it's simply been too long since I was around that. Ephedra hasn't been in my system for quite some time.

Regardless, Thunder, looks like you'll be recovering real well !

CEE: Nothing "more" I can elaborate, we all know of creatine's benefits as a pre workout, including its benefits post workout.

Beta-Alanine: I trust Thomas knows his body very well and he prefers the acute pre load and primarily, intra-load. However, I used BA only "slightly" different. Due to BA's function in increasing lactate threshold, buffering H+ ions and whatnot, I like to have it all in my system, ready to go pre-workout. I took mine with my creatine, both pre and post. My BA dosing schedule mimicked my creatine dosing schdule. Different dosage amounts of course, but same schedule.

AAKG: I have no qualms against the AAKG. Though BA does promote muscle endurance in the sense that your lactate threshold is increased, BA does not have a direct effect on stamina, in the sense of increased circulation or vasodilation. However, I agree with Thomas in that, admidst everything you're taking, I don't think it's a needed part of the equation.

I believe you mentioned you'll be running ECA also? I think some of the positive effects of AAKG, such as general stamina will be so far under the radar compared to the ECA that it wouldn't be worth spending the money. Vasodilation occurs naturally as you exercise, and with the presence of creatine, BA, ECA, this AAKG will be like a guy in the row team with a small paddle, sure it'll assist, but the lack thereof would not be missed.

Yohimbine: It works for me, but I think I'm the only person I know of that it works for. With that said, I would opt out of the Yohimbine because as you know, if you're taking daily doses, 3 times a day, the ECA has like a two week super kick@$$ effect, and then the tolerance sets in (at least in my case). Adding that extra stim might quicken that tolerance time. However, if you're a fan of the Yohimbine. Either add it in around week 3, or just use it every other day. I understand Yohimbine has other effects such as libido, but I'm favoring the exploitation of the ECA to its full effects for the longest amount of time, over anything Yohimbine offers.

I have no opinion no the cordycepts and I have no special suggestions with the 1,3-dimethylamylamine.

Your stack sounds awesome. I'd reconsider the AAKG and Yohimbine. My primarily issue is with the Yohimbine, but I know its cheap as dirt to buy, I have like 300 caps from NP myself, so if you really want to work it in, spread it out. Maybe even relegate ECA or ECAY use to workout days only. Anyway, just suggestions to chew over.

Edit: Almost forgot.

BCAA's: Very expensive, but you can't go wrong with that, I'm a big fan of the many positive effects of L-Leucine.

Definite synergy with Creatine and BA. You have the creatine for increased performance with the higher intensity weights at the lower reps and you have the BA to extend the volume of your lifts, those are two supps that work at the opposite end of the spectrum, but do not interfere with each others positive effects.

Definitely agree on the AAKG. Never been interested in Cordy either, so I'm not an informed one on whether to recommend that. The 1,3-dimethylamylamine -- nice! Haven't run an ECA stack for a minute, but I fondly recall those days.. And as for BCAA's - HYOOOOOOGE fan of these guys, and Thomas has the right dosages recommended for a big guy like you, I'd go closer to the 20g mark each dosage than the 10 tho..

In any event - you DEF. are on track for some mad growth!

Okay guys. Thanks so much. I'm still waiting on Mullet to chime in and offer his opinions. He is uber intelligent when it comes to these matters. So what I'm walking away with here is to drop the Yohimbine and the AAKG. They were very cheap is why I was including them anyway. I've used AAKG several times in the past with very little results. But I thought Yohimbine was supposed to be da bomb! I've never used it before. Oh well, I trust you guys and your experienced opinions. But I should be fine with the ECA and the 1,3-dimethylamylamine. I hear it's potent sh!t. I will keep the cordyceps in the mix though. It's inexpensive also and I just used it several times with the free samples I received from Millennium Sport Technologies. They had packs of Cordygen 5 in there. I thought it was a decent pre-workout supp. And I use creatine monohydrate pre and post-WO as welll snagency. I just thought about tossing in some CEE and some DiCreatine Malate since they're very inexpensive. They should help out some. Thanks guys. So far then the new mix sounds like it'll be BCAA's, Beta-Alanine, Cordyceps, CEE, and DiCreatine Malate. I'll take the 1,3-dimethylamylamine with my ECA stack 1 hour before training. I will drink half of my Thunder-drink 30 minutes prior to training and the other half during training. I will take 10 grams of creatine monohydrate after the workout with my post-workout whey shake and recovery meal. :thumbsup:

yeah, they are linearly additive - a 30 day cycle of creatine followed by a 30 day cycle of beta alanine nets almost exactly the same as a 30 day cycle together. Was a good study on that.

I feel confident seeing how identical my 'opinions'/'methods' are compared to yours ! Definitely a confidence booster to have your word backing up mine, or vice versa.. we are, indeed, quite a bit a like. Now, If I can look like you look in my mid-30s, I'll be happy as hell !

Creatine Monohydrate . . it's been a while .. it's been a good four years since last time; I think I put it on the back-burner for good, as I never had any positive experiences with creatine in general. CEE is still a myth to me .. But I'm patient. I've got a KILO worth of patience on me !(Volcom, you STILL da' man !!! :clap2: :clap2:)
 
any particular reason for a "fancy" creatine and not just mono?
Both the Creatine Ethyl Ester and the DiCreatine Malate boast superiority in utilization and uptake over the monohydrate alone. And I already take creatine monohydrate. It's already mixed in the brand of whey protein that I use. At 5 grams per scoop. Is there anything else you would choose to toss in this mix Easy? Maybe Citruline or something? This order will be placed here (NP) tomorrow. I need to finalize it all by tomorrow morning. I've got to dash out to work right now (graveyards) but I'll read everyone's responses when I get home in the morning. Thanks for your help guys!! Gotta run!! :run:

I think it boasts that it doesn't turn into useless creatinine when in liquid too long like monohydrate does. So that's a plus there.

Some guys do indeed like it. Just a chemistry issue with myself, very uncomfortable, jittery effects, mind-racing.. not my idea of a good stim. If you've never tried it before, you might want to just to see for yourself. But with the other stuff in the mix, I hardly see the need for it.

I have had training partners in the past that I used to have to prod and poke and act like a fukkin' cheerleader to get them fired up enough just to go TO the gym. Fukk that sh!t. I don't have time for that nonsense no more. I don't need external stimuli just to get in the mood to workout. I'm always in the mood for a workout. I have to restrain my enthusiasm or I'd be training twice a day...everyday!! Glad to see someone like you Volcom. Eager to get down to business in the gym . You have a great work ethic. Keep up the good stuff up in here!!! :head:

to my surprise, yet it shouldn't be by now, because its been a consistent re-occurrence lately, but again, no DOMS. Slight DOMS in my chest, none at all in my back from my Lat Assault last night. I don't know if this lack of DOMS thing is an effect of the newly added Blue UP, or some synergy of the Blue GENE/Blue UP combo, either way, I've been experiencing oddly fast recoveries.

No, it was just morning cardio really, but I used the word conditioning because I wasn't doing a steady consistent movement like running for 30 min or anything.

95% of my workouts are still geared toward bodybuilding.

yeah the one i did saturday at goddard was worse than the conditioning at damien for football.

my legs finally started to feel normal today. i liked it, but its not something i want to do while im trying to put on weight. i will definitely use it when i decide to cut down again.

No duh!! That sounded WAY harder than my cardio!! LOL I got tired just reading that post. Did anyone else perform that same workout with you? That sorta interval training should do wonders for your aerobic and anaerobic capacities. You'll get the best of both worlds with sessions like that. Even if you do just toss them in maybe 5% of the time. They still will make you mentally tougher just getting through them!!

Yes, someone did run through them with me. I was training this mother of two, who reminds of Sandra Day O'Conner from Terminator 2. She's hardcore, lean and mean. I've only trained her 3 times now and whenever I introduce something "painfully" new, I like to go through it with her so she's not like, "can your fat @$$ do this!" because then I can say, "yes I can, now shut it and go"

She used the 65lbs barbell for the first exercise of course, not the 135lbs. She can handle 95lbs, but only as individual exercises, not some madman gumbo of super-sets.

oh if youve got some AP, do the fasted workout trauma and snagency talk about in viking's log. i had more endurance than normal, especially being fasted.

Hell yeah, good looking protocol there, dig it!! I love me some stuff like that for cardio-esque sh!t, throroughly more enjoyable.
 
oh if youve got some AP, do the fasted workout trauma and snagency talk about in viking's log. i had more endurance than normal, especially being fasted.

I would be so down, but I officially ran out of my 8 month supply of AP a little while ago.

Strangely, the older, white AP caps, behaved slightly differently in my system then the new, yellow AP caps. Not to be vulgar, but I took 50lbs dumps on the new yellow AP caps, which is cool, because after a good toilet sesh, I feel like an underwear model afterward. I never had the runs, my stomach was never upset, but when I went, I was giving birth, low key. I think the newer yellow caps worked better for me.

holy cow. 8 months. i picked up a couple bottles during the big sale. and theyre the white caps. and i havent had a chance to pick up the new version yet.

MMA/Football, Plyo, Power and Conditioning workout.

Cleans
135lbs x 5 reps
155lbs x 3 reps
185lbs x 1 rep
205lbs x 1 rep

Exercise I
Lined up two benches length wise. Set up 5 cones, 6 feet apart and a 135lbs Barbell at the end of the line.

- Side to side jumps (over bench) x 5, super-set, 4, 6 feet leap frogs, super-set, 135lbs Cleans, jog 100 yards as rest between sets x 4 straight rotations

Exercise II
Leap over 3.5 foot box, leap over 4 foot box, leap frog 8 feet, super-set, 135lbs clean x 10 rotations, super-set, 10 off the line sprints (throw a ball in the air, as soon as it drops, shoot off the line) for 10 yards x 10.
10 box jumps/cleans + 10 off the line sprints = 1 set. 3 sets performed in all.

Exercise III
Burpees, up and over 4 foot box x 6, super-set
Bupees, over 3.5 foot box x 6, super-set, sprawl defense x 10.
12 Burpees to box jumps + 10 sprawl defense = 1 set. 3 sets performed

HIIT
100 yards sprints, with 10 seconds rest by watch clock, x 10

I have severe elbow burn, the matt was rubber, not nice smooth wrestling matts, so I have missing skin on my elbow from shooting. Hands and wrist aren't all the way right, and I caught two inadvertent knees to the back of the head. Life goes on.

Let's see, sprained right all five fingers, can't really close my fist, thank Gawd for suicide grip for that night cap. Probably two solid bruises coming my way in the back of the head, knees are already inflamed from shooting on a hard surface (over and over), bloody elbows. Just another day at work.
