Thank gawd for this log Volcom. Surfing AM all day does get time consuming and piles up and I forget to eat sometimes....but not since Ive had your log subbed :D

My diet is still in check - its not like Im going out to eat the exact same thing. But it does get my appetite up. Just an idea :)

same. i find it hard to read this thread, then go back and eat my chicken, veggies, and EVOO. this thread only pays off on friday and saturday when i refeed. CKD FTW! :woohoo:
 
its going well. im trying to clean up my carb sources more for day 1, but its still fairly clean i think because its supposed to be high-mid GI type carbs. day 2 is straight brown rice, whole wheat pasta, oats, etc, the usual.

nothing crazy yet in terms of results. im a little leaner. arms are looking more defined, abdomen is looking slimmer. i was 175.5 this morning. and i weighed myself a little while ago, and i was 180. so i think its safe to say im maining muscle mass during this cut.

only drawbacks im seeing thus far is a loss in muscular endurance, but thats not too noticeable until about wed or thurs, when glycogen stores are way low.

i also grabbed some ketostix from CVS, and so far im not in ketosis yet. i will probably be switching to TKD tho, because ill be running a sponsored neovar recomped log for AN in the next couple weeks. im hoping to lean out some more with that.

I'm rip roar'n for my morning workout, I've got Thai Shrimp Gyoza's steaming on the stove (that's right, I own a bamboo steamer) and then off for another Blue GENE driven workout! :aargh:

Speaking of giving away free supplements. I have an un-opened bottle of Jungleware, expiration 3/09. I don't plan on using it anytime soon, so I feel like giving it away. If you want it, its yours, however, there are conditions:

#1. If you're simply going to store it away for a much later date, then you're doing what I'm doing and I don't care to give it to you if that's the case. No hording, but if you really wanted to start a run of something, but can't afford to, then you're the guy I want to give it to, or if you were always curious about JW, but not curious enough to buy it, that's cool, too.

#2. i can't check this, but you should really be at least 21.

#3. You can't be Boxmeman. No box, no :nono:

Death of Stabilizer Fatigue

First off, today's workout was friggin awesome. To start off with, my workout partner was on a time crunch, so we had 45 min between the two of us to complete a real life chest workout. I never let time situations take away from a workout, it just means we have to work twice as hard to achieve an excellent workout.

Due to the fact we were on a time crunch, of course our rest time was pushed the hardest, or more accurately, lack of rest time and I decided to make the most of our time, so we hit all the heavy hitters. I needed to work on my stabilizing strength & ability anyway.


Db Flat Press
100lbs Db's x 12 reps
105lbs Db's x 10 reps
110lbs Db's x 8 reps
115lbs Db's x 8 reps

Incline Bench, Free
185lbs x 10 reps
195lbs x 9 reps
205lbs x 8 reps

Flat Bench, Free (wtf?!? Like I said, heavy hitters today)
225lbs x 8 reps (ain't happening, time to reverse pyramid)
205lbs x 8 reps
185lbs x 10 reps

Incline Bench, Smith
185lbs x 10 reps

and we were done. My parnter's pecs were majorly burned out by this point, so he was hitting like 4-6 reps on the dips, which meant I was getting excessively minimal rest between sets! Matter of fact, he was burnt by the time we hit flat bench, my muscle endurance is notably superior at this point..... Blue GENE???

I also severely out performed my once stronger workout partner strength wise, which i can only implicate Blue GENE as the driving catalyst. I'll see how true this is the next time we hit back together, because our chest strength teeter totters in who is stronger, but his back is consistently stronger on everything, with the exception of Dead lifts.

This part struck me funny..

Yep, great effort dude, no question on your work ethic!

Hitting Bench as a third exercise has a VERY misleading warm up set. You're muscles are so warm and revved up already that the warm up set feels MUCH lighter and much more smooth, compared to when you hit the bench warm up as your first exercise and the muscles are still cold.
 
Precursor to "The Blue Balls Stack"

I'm only a little more then half way through my 30 day sponsored log of Blue GENE, however, as the full effects of Blue GENE have just recently began to truly kick into gear for me, I've been so impressed by the positive strength and endurance effects, that I decided that I will continue with Blue GENE for the complete 60 day run. Of course the latter half of this run will be on my own accord.

One thing I need to seriously compliment Controlled Labs on, is their uber convenient dosing schedule. Blue GENE requires just ONE dose a day, Blue UP, also ONCE a day! For someone as busy as I am, that is a friggin God send.

Therefore, following my 30 day sponsored completion with written review and hopefully some video performance comparison, I will continue my Blue Balls stack in this log, with perhaps a 60 day video strength comparison and a second full write up :thumbsup:

Now back to the regular programming.

P.S. I'm taking my younger brother and his friends to a concert tonight. Some power metal band from Europe called, Nightwish. Don't know who they are, but its my last gift for him before he goes off to UC Irvine.
 
Controlled Labs Blue Up is one of the best natty test-boosters I have ever used. I don't put a lot of store in those usually, but Blue Up works!! :thumbsup: You will definitely enjoy it Volcom. :hammer:
