Timber's Epi Smash

Left shoulder is a little beat, like in a non-good DOMS way.... and lower back is just a touch sore... Nothing noteworthy.

non-good sores post dead lifts are never diesel. Baby strain of the posterior delt? I'm not sure I can even do 405 for 6 at the moment, so that's pretty sick. Your strength has come a long way.

Its a reoccuring thing... especially when I go heavy. Results in some pain and a limited range of motion when extending my arm from my side to a 90 degree angle. Subsides in a day or so usually.

Also timber it sounds like your external rotator needs some work.

Yea dude, he took formestane for 2 weeks and he weighs 205 now.

there was one post about his newfound vascularity....and how he looks more massive than usual today....162lbs who???? massive? check it out the log made me laugh....

HAHA:toofunny:

I meant to write about TD form....the DTH is just so money though......my ****ing internet is slow as balls today

Hey TL...any random Torem splooges yet??

Busterism:"Yeah...rub that ish right on the nips aye??"

damn. i miss all the fun. 405x6 i got me some catching up to do.

same here...I bet it'll take 6 months for me to pull that off (if I stop traveling).

Leg Day

Squats
12*135, 12*135, 12*225, 2*275, 10*225, 14*185
Extra working set at 225 messed up any hope of me getting a full widow set in... OOMMMGGddzzz lot of catching up to do to get to Buster weight.. 275 still feels like a house.

Leg Press

10 Reps * 4, 6, 8, 10 and 8*12, 6*12 plates

Hammy Curls (Prone)

Leg Extention

Calf Raise (Standing)

Bike

6*405?

I'm giving credit to not maxing out for over a month... and just being in the zone. I think the epi had very little to do with it, since I pulled 425 twice on nothing only 6 weeks ago...

that's definitely a goal for me. got 365x4 this week, but the last two reps were a bit sloppy. if i can get to 405x6 with perfect form i'll be happy.

I don't use a belt...Should I :dunno:

A week ago I would have said no; however, I just hurt myself for the first time so I'm going to change my opinion. You have to take some things into consideration...

1) The weight you lift - Our bodies are only made to handle so much, and that goes double for things such as our wrists, lower back, knees, and grip. - We use straps so we can handle the weight we need to lift to stimulate our muscle fibers. When you're doing shrugs, you have to realize our hands weren't meant to hold 400+ pounds from a hanging bar.

2) Is it normal for a man to have 400+ lbs laying across his back? No. Sooner or later, as you increase the weight, you're going to get hurt if you don't protect your back.

There is not a single powerlifter I have ever seen that doesn't wear support when they're in competition lifting 800lbs+.

You need to take care of your joints, back, tendons, wrists, etc. - I say wrap them and strap them when working with heavy weight. Obviously it's not necessary for less weight, but it's important to take care of yourself.

I look around my gym, and all the big, old dudes in great shape take care of themselves...to me, it just kind of makes sense. I wish I was smarter. I've been out of the gym for a week now with a hurt back, and it's going to take at least another week to heal, I think. I will be wearing a belt from now on.
