Do not do those. I did them for years, got pretty heavy with them, and i am paying for it now, im tellin ya, not worth it. My shoulders were huge, but ya know what, the're still pretty big, in front of the face is the way to go.
That's the general consensus... That's why I dig the Hammer too, because it allows me to take the weight down by my ears (i.e. through my head)... best of both worlds - just no stabalization work, which I feel is of the utmost importance. but it does allow me to go heavy!!!
I'm going to start designing a maintenence program eventually. I don't think I'll ever need to push 225, but I'm sure that looks gnarly in the gym.

I usually rep 185-205 for sets in front of face. I dont bring it to my collar bone either, about at my chin or slightly lower, you dont need to chest it. Involves too much rotator cuff, and when that goes, its bye-bye gym for 6 monthes.
They are effective. I love pain though...:scared:
