Do any of you workout in the afternoon?
I have always trained in the morning, but since my schedule is so flexible I am thinking about workout out around 3pm which would have me finishing up around 430pm. I am kind of flip flopping back and forth on how I want to handle my carbs on WO days.
I am leaning towards "backloading" them rather then splitting them throughout the day. ie. having no carbs on my 12pm "fast break" and splitting my 250g of carbs in my last 2 meals.
Up until now I always ate at 12pm/5pm/8pm, but with this new WO schedule in mind I am thinking about eating at 12pm(pro/fat), working out from 3-4:30, having an "immediate" 50g/50g pro/carb shake(4:30pm), a whole food meal with 125g of carbs 30min later, and at 8pm the remaining 75 of carbs.
I'd like to hear any of your input on this.
I don't like it personally. I really like 3 meals.
I have a lot of free time that gets spent thinking about food lol

All I can think about is making food and eating it while I'm at work lol.
Frank, I lift at 2 or 3 each day and dont' eat until 4-5 PM. It works great for me. I'll probably break fast once a week, but other than that, it's great.
Only negative part is I stop eating by 9 each night which means I get to jam in all my calories which can leave a brother feeling a bit full....
Feeling full is the least of my concerns..heh
Sitting around all day doing nothing, until I lift at 3pm would be what would be brutal for me.
Towards the end of my diet I was fasting until 5pm on non training days, and it was awful..
I may try tomorrow just doing a small meal at 12, then an epic post workout meal at 5pm, then another smaller meal pre-bed.
Something like 15% calories/60% calories/25% calories.
I have been eating no more then 120g of carbs a day for a LONG time, so having this huge surplus of carbs is kinda odd..lol I dropped protein down to 200g, now that I am not "dieting" and filled the void with carbs, plus bumped calories fairly considerably.
The sitting around part is fine..lol It is extending the fast to 20+hrs while sitting around, where my mind just zones in on food. If I eat at 12pm, I am cool until 5.I actually liked sitting around doing nothing all day when I was on summer break from teaching. I found it easier to meal plan and I wasn't running around like a mad man burning a bunch of calories before my fast break. I definitely had to make some adjustments when the school year started back up...especially in the carb department.

I could easily do that.. Some Cinn toast crunch destruction..i hear that i eat 1x a day now, fast 24 hours !!!! ****ing annoying and brutal, along with the food channel not helping!
id honestly have all carbs post workout. Its more fun that way.

I will play it by ear tomorrow. It is going to feel so odd, working out in the afternoon. I have literally worked out first thing in the morning for 6-7 years.. I am a creature of habit, and I hate change..lol

Where are you fighting? I'm assuming MMA, right? Pro? What is your mix of styles? Oh and I don't see any stats, height/weight (weight-class) you are getting down to for the fight? Just curious Bro, good Luck, Kick some A$$!!!
amateur kickboxing low kicks... Jr cruiser weight i believe based on WKA weight classes, 190, im 5 10.
be my first one, ive trained for a long time but injuries have kept me out of the ring. whenever id train for a fight id get injured and not be able to.

Last serenade is awesome. It's has a really melodic intro then it hammers hard with like a triplet riff and dbl bass...nasty.
