Exactly what I was talking about, it's a very good sign when you start looking small in your clothes.
Yah maybe I can get ahead of this time so I look tighter... still 4 weeks from the show, we'll see... The bottom like is to get as lean as I can possibly get. I have seen some pretty nice changes recently maybe there's more magic to come. I like it when unexpected changes happen.... miracles...
That is awesome Doug, you are dead on correct. That and dropping 32 lbs in this amount of time you must look like you are wasting away. Maybe it is time for some new tigher shirts.I know I just looked like a fit guy the last part of my prep in my clothes. One of the attorneys happened to be outside one day when I was coming back from my walk at lunch. I didn't have a shirt on because that is my time to get sun. He was all HOLY SH*T CHRIS!!!! I didn't know that was what was up under that shirt. That is frigging amazing. He is normally a really reserved guy so that reaction was pretty awesome coming from him.
Even now I am smaller in my clothes but starting to look pretty darn impressive out of them. I can see my ab lines even when standing relaxed not tightening them at all. If only the skin was,t loose they would be ripped up but it takes me a little while for the skin to catch up but that is okay. I wont have that problem this year. I will be sticking with the lean gains as this cut has been effortless nutrition wise. I do what I feel like with in my 8 hours. If I want to have something I just eat it.all I need to to to start gaining is bump my cals up a bit. I will put money on it I can gain some muscle while KEEPING my abs this year!
any pictures or video?
Keeping lean year round is the way to go if you compete, at least for myself and many other bodybuilders I know. Notice I said competitive bodybuilder, not your typical party beach boy who stays ripped year round to get girls lean. Being ripped you wont add muscle from year to year if that is still the goal and I the body seems to work better when it is insulated a bit (like 12% instead of 7 %)
We shall see for sure. Of course I am not in it right now for bodybuilding right now so much as aesthetics, but it isn't for the chicks it is for me. I caught mine years ago and am perfectly happy in that department.I like what I see in the mirror when I am lean. I feel better being lighter, and I think I will be able to continue to add weight on over the next few years doing it. There are some dietary strategies out there that can make this possible, Lean Gains being one of them. However the gains are only seen over time. These guys are adding 5 and 10 lbs in a year staying lean enough to keep the abs showing doing Lean gains but they are gaining .5 - 1 lbs in a month, nothing ridiculous but it adds up over the course of the year and a a year or two to add on 10 clean and lean lbs is not long at all.

I agree with Kleen 100% on this. Slow and steady gains over the year while staying lean doesnt sound all that bad to me. Throw a couple decent cycles a year in there and the amount you can gain will be even greater while keeping abs. :bigok:
Yah that's the dream...
Well yesterdays wotkout was pretty good, got some extra reps on Decline db press and standing arnolds... actually across the board. I did reduce my leg press to get more reps in and it was a smart move.
Did one hour of cardio when I got home as I will miss my session on Friday...
Speaking of smart moves, Tuesday will be my last workout, I have to do my spray tan on Thursday and have to soak in some Epson salts beforehand and I need a mini-break... so I plan on reducing the compound movements and take elements out of day 2 and 3 to achieve this.
I am feeling better this week so far, lungs have cleared for the most part, just my seasonal alergies to deal with...
It's still really cold here for this time of year with morning temps around freezing and tons of wind... kind of frustrating but I've been through worse recently, at least there's no snow here.
Did some posing practice yesterday and changed the intro to my routine which has me thinking of changing my music as well. I have to start to go through the motions as if I was going on stage, not a lot of time left.
great stuff here def excited to see the end results!!
What show are you doing?
Can't wait I know you are excited and heck will even get a new avi out of it.
Yah I am bringing my own photographer...
How much does it run to have your own photographer come up to an event like this?
Can't wait to see the pics!
I am wayyyy Late but in it for the FINAL FINALE!!!!
lol yah this is the best part... there will be 3 weeks more prepping after this likely, the pics will end up being my 3 week out pics...
Hey I am always in for a good success story, positive motivation for all my friend! Especially from someone that really reads about what he/she is taking and does the research (homework) on products to truly understand them! I am continuously impressed on this forum at the knowledge people have on the different ingredients in the popular bodybuilding/weightlifting products out there! Can't wait to see the picts, but hey... Ya can't rush PERFECTION!
"Every man is an artist... yours is your body.... and your about to paint your Masterpiece!" That is my bastardization of Christopher Walken in "Man on Fire" my favorite movie of all times!
Has your vision problem subsided?

Nice, that is one of my favorites too. I have seen it 10-15 times easily. One of those bored let me throw a movie on movies, just good stuff.
Can't wait to see the pics.
Me too, I looked in the mirror relaxed pose, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 wow they were all there still some loose skin and fat near my lowers but my abs tend to be very high. Continued Thiomucase application, carb up, Epson salt bath and tan should take care of a lot of issues. Then once the pics are done it's 10 days Clenviscerate and 10 days more Thiomucase and 20 days more hard dieting and physical punishment... I can almost guarantee rippedness!! Now that's exciting .. a ripped 205 and at least 208 carbed up and flushed!!! Fug yah this shytes goin down!!!
Yah I'm feeling better now... time to slay fuggin dragons!!!!!!!!:firedevil: :firedevil:
Preparation H on the skin? I thought that was supposed to tighten it, wrap it in plastic wrap overnight with a slimming belt over it. Anyone actually try this?
I can't remember the brand name, either Lubraderm or Aveeno, but there was a really good one that's #1 goal was to increase elasticity in the skin, I think it was designed for women to take after pregnancy to help shrink/shrivel their skin back to normal with minimal to no stretch marks. Anyway, I used it when I cut a lot of weight a few years ago and it really worked well! Just something to think about/look into!
Oh, BTW, I used it on my entire body every time I got out of the shower and before I went into the tanning bed... it is a proven fact that lubricated skin tans better than dry skin, just an added bonus to what it supposed to do for your skin's elasticity!

Yes, I have tried it and it absolutely works, but it is only temporary just like the epson salt baths, temporary. I mean they are both definite musts for a few days pre-contest, but no long lasting elasticity effects.
The lotion I was recommending, on the other hand, has collagen in it, which is supposed to rejuvenate the natural elasticity of the skin, it is really the same principal as the face mask and face lotions women have been using for years on their faces and under their eyes to reduce wrinkles or as they put it in the commercials "Fight the signs of aging"!
What is a slimming belt.?
Yah it's all about the collagen, let me know if you remember the name...
I believe what he means by a slimming belt is those velcro attached neoprene belts that you would wear under your shirt when working out and supposedly back in the day they were supposed to decrease belly fat by smashing it up agains your muscles (totally disproven).
Found it....St. Ives Collagen Elastin, when I found it was on sale half price and I picked up 4 bigger pump bottles and not small/tiny tubes for like $6.99 each.

Hah my wife has St. Ives but the Vitamin E formulation I believe...
Get the "St. Ives Collagen Elastin" I'm not claiming it is the end all do all, but it did help me with my loose skin (noticeably).

I agree, that works for pre-contest, but is not a long-term fix, but absolutely perfect for tightening up a stubborn area right before a show!
Oh snap i didn't realize this was Mr. Dreamweaver. As i now read the entire posting. You have made some serious change your self sir. Heck you might have me beat in overall weight loss. Grrr. Good luck brother.

32.5 lbs is the final verdict, remember this is not my first time around the block... :firedevil:
:toofunny: grey hair isn't so grey, eh?
Ok conservative workout last night but I showed good strength on some exercises and backed off on some and just worked strict form. The highlight was flat bench db press for 90 X 10, 80 X 8 and 70 X 8 for my drops. This is damn good for me considering I am down to 214.5 from last nights weigh in... I was low on energy near the end though.
Later that night I went pretty hypo and grabbed a whole grapefruit cut it up and devoured it and I had a few extra egg whites and a small peice of steak. I was ravenous!! Not really cheating, more self preservation.
Woke up this morning looking very deflated, I hate this look cuz some of your muscle looks like fat...hard on the psyche, oh well carb up tomorrow....
Posing practice felt pretty flat last night too... just a bad finsih to my day.
Morning cardio session was a bit better than yesterday but I am feeling pretty weak so I will have to watch it. If I go hypo there is a whole fridge full of juice about 15 steps away from my desk...
Oh and I had to walk 5K into a strong wind full of ice pellets this morning, needless to say I was not amused... fuggers hurt when they hit you in the face. Fortunately my hood blocked most of them ... ain't spring grand here in the north!! Worst sping in 30-40 years...
Like I said carb up tomorrow only the one am fasted cardio session tomorrow morning then I take my Epson salts bath when I get home from work and get my base tanning coat... Pics Friday at 2pm after the bronzer is applied...
In for the after pix man, I am sure youa re gunna look siiiiiiiiiiiiick..SJ
Well just remember I am not peaking for another 3 weeks so you're going to see massive improvment but it will get better....:yup:
