What do you think of CLA? I just purchased a bottle after doing some reading on it, but recently I've read [IN ONE STUDY] ..."There are concerns that the use of CLA supplements by overweight people may tend to cause or to aggravate insulin resistance, which may increase their risk of developing diabetes.[8] "

Has anyone used CLA for weight loss successfully? Or am I about to have consumer's remorse over my latest purchase.

I had an oil stack going and this recent concern has thrown a wrench in it, (Sesamin, Fish Oil, CLA), with the CLA in question. Thanks.

Sorry for the late get back, but I have/do use CLA as a staple and have no problems to report. I use the Primaforce version, and take other fats, fish oil and sesamin in as well. It does take about a month to see the results, but it came off of my gut, and it's not a stim. I take in around 5 grams per day of CLA. Hope that helps, sorry again it's late.

werd. Actually my libido is starting to creep up now. I was getting pretty damn randy at the gym today. Will have to save it up for the lady tonight :yup:

I am not seeing fat loss as fast as I would like it. I'm not being impatient. It just seems like I lost a little fat and now it has stopped. So I am upping the cardio. Carbs are still 50g or under. Had a nice lil workout today. Recovery between sets and endurance were intense! Pumps were delicious :food:

Low incline db press - 80x6-3-4=13; Im up 1 rep here and it was on my last set lol. Dropped to 60x6; lost 3 reps here but I had very minimal rest.
Inner pec flys - 45x12, 65x12
Seated iso press - 155x7-3-4=14; up 5lbs and 1 rep :woohoo:
stretched for only 35 secs today. Didnt want to fry my delt out before dips.
Dips - +35x10-6-7=23; I thought about doing 45 but I just didnt want to let my ego get the best of me. Guess I should have lol. I will def be using a 45 next time for my r/p sets.
Pullups - These just get harder and harder for me each time because of my weight increase :D. I dropped the weight 5lbs today because I knew I gained weight. +40x4-3-3=10; this is 2 more reps than I did last time with 45.
WIDE FARKIN GRIP BB ROWS - 220x4, back off to 155 REALLY WIDE for 12 reps.
Lat hang for 60 secs
Wide grip upright smith rows - just threw 10's on and repped it out for 20.
Cardio for 20 mins after.

That is crazy because I have been killing the carbs and I am still losing weight and fat. I was carb cycling but weight was dropping too quick so I brought some back in and now they are at least 300 a day if not alot more and weight is still going down.

Protein is high, carbs are 50 or below, fat are high...maybe I'm taking in too much fat. Will lower it and see how that goes.

Well the first week or two of low carb you lose a lot of subq water and once the extra fluids go the weight loss slows to actual fat lass and not a combination of both. Don't sweat your diet for another week and see where you are. Remember before carbs were telling your body to hold onto water so without them there is always an immediate loss then a slow down. Are you eating right at maintenance or below?

If your goal is recomp then stick with that for another week and give the body time to adjust to the diet as it is. If it is to cut then drop 300-500 cals off a day until your composition stops improving and drop or raise it again. If you are eating peanut or almont butter for your fats make sure you are measuring and not trying to eyeball it. If you are you are probably going over 2 table spoons by a long shot. I made that mistake when I first started doing it. I had to go find out what was going wrong and that was the problem for sure.

RECOVERY!! This stuff makes recovery a breeze. I feel ZERO doms! I have started doing this thing I picked up in Unreal's thread about loading the muscles during a carb up. I'm not just doing it for a carb up though. I am doing it for anything over 30g carbs at a time. I just ate 35g worth of brown rice with tuna, 2 tbs of olive oil, ranch powder, cayenne pepper, followed by 50 airsquats and 50 pushups. Looking swole!!! It's retarded.

I did 10 mins on treadmill today, 15 on upright bike, 20 mins of bball. Been a long time since I've shot hoops. I miss it and thinking of picking it back up.

Sleep was great last night. Only got in about 6.5 hours sleep but I feel like I got 8 :D.

Going to Nickelodeon Hotel on Saturday. It's gonna be sick! Water slides and sh1t! :yup: Looking forward to it. Just wish I was beach body ready :dunno:

Can you explain this further?

Carbing up and then doing some bw exercises are supposed to shuttle the carbs to muscle to be stored as glycogen as opposed to sitting on your ass and eating hoping it's going where it is supposed to.

That sounds like far too much work. I'm not going to do a mini-workout after every meal. You have to draw the line somewhere.

hahaha punk I'm not saying after every meal. Just after a 'carbup' while on Keto. I am a badass though and am going to try it more often.

Think of it like wringing out water from a sponge then putting it in water so it fills up again. Same type of idea there. The exercise causes ATP in the muscle to be used as energy once that happens then the muscles turn on storage so they can suck up more nutrients to replace the suddenly used ATP. Same logic as why you can eat more after an intense workout.

I got tricked again today. I was hitting on a bagger at the grocery store but she was another friggin Eastern Euro and didn't understand a damn thing I was saying. Soooo pretty. They always change their names on their nametag to make it more normal. Her's said "Kristina" but I guarantee it's actually spelled really weird.

This area is just flooded with them. Moldovan, Russian, and Czech women are all over the place. Occasionally I meet some from Turkey and Poland as well. More often than not they're 8.5+. Gorgeous women. They're not very fun, though. They don't understand American sarcasm. It makes it very difficult to flirt.
