Kleen's Pumped Up with Anadraulic Pump! (LG Sponsored)

Well you know being a Muscle Model isn't quite as Alpha Male as a being a Bodybuilder, but it serves as a little motivation for me to have something to look at and not want to slack more than I need to with the injuries. Kind of a shark mentality, must keep moving forward at all times. You what they call a shark that isn't swimming??? Dead.

I haven't decided though, it is an extra expense to do but I also want to go back to that federation and show em. Imagine me rolling in around 5-6 percent looking better than some of the body builders. Maybe not quite as lean but big as fug for a Muscle Model. Really all muscle models are is body builders and fitness enthusiast that are photogenic. Somebody has to do magazine ads. ;)

Actually a lot of them compete in both. lol, yah I am always so alpha these days... Wonder why...

Yep. There is really no difference.

I for one like to look lean, but more than anything I like to look just thick and beastly. Sort of mountain man mixed with Frank Zane is my style. ;)

I just do the best I can with what I got. :nervous:

Yeah my goal is definitely a Frank Zane look. I like looking thick too but Zane had my idea of a the perfect body type. He ALWAYS looked aesthetic.

What ya got is PLENTY DW!
Clothes help. Flannel, suspenders, and boots; top button undone with chest-hair billowing out and pec-clevage. :D

LOL I know that is right. LOL Man Imiss the early 90's I had a flanel for every day, some of them even sleeveless! Oh yeah, grunge was fun. LOL Don't lie IC top two buttons undone! LOL

MRI tomorrow! Torn between anxiety and comfirmation.

Well Guys, they called me last night and set up the MRI, I will be going in tomorrow morning at 9:30 then will be in the office. I will have to wait a week to go in for the follow up to hear the results but at least I will KNOW what the state of my elbow is soon. I am really hoping not to have to stop lifting for a while. If so lots of cardio for me. I will just cut up. The results of this test have a lot of bearing on my plans for the next few months. Keeping my head up and hoping for the best.

We have had a cold front here SURPRISE! The whole country seems to be in a cold front. Well it is causing me leg to become a little more sensitive. Plays games with my head when I am babying it to recover. I have faith it is the cold front and not my leg getting worse. We shall see. Next week I will start leg work very easy like he suggested. Nervous to do so. I just have a tendancy to push way to hard. Intensity is in my make up and I am out of my element here. No cardio this morning, head cold is too bad, and as I mentioned my quad is hurting today. Even have a slight limp, walking had not been bothering it because my quads weren't getting worked enough while walking but today I feel it with each step. Oh well maybe it has to get worse before it gets better or maybe it is the weather having an effect. Could just be that I have accepted it and not trying to deny it anymore too.

Tomorrow we are going to hit the AS-GT again hopefully I feel better and can feel all it has to give but it was definitely a nice boost in my dead-azz state yesterday. Here is to keeping my head up and my drive constant.

So what constitutes a cold front in Huston Texas... :dunno:

Well it is 50 F here now and that is a cold front. No worries, going to be nearly 70 on Saturday so back to normal here soon.

"If you dont change the direction you are going, then you're likely to end up where you are heading" The MRI will get you some answers and change where you are heading!

Well it isn't due to the temperature! LOL It is the drop in barometric pressure that gets the pains kicking.

Right and even worse we had a real cold front come through which was in the low to mid 30s for a couple days then up to 65 then back down to a high of 50 so lots of changes in barometric pressure over the past 3 days. Expand, shrink - expand shrink. UGGHHHH!!!! At least when a cold front comes through and stays you can get use to it. No so much with this every other day crap we are doing now.

Austin Powers: There you are!
Random party goer: Do I know you?
Austin: No but that is where you are... you're there... :silly:

Sorry I just love that part of the movie.

Yeah that is really what I am waiting for AZ. You hit the nail on the head with that one. I am waiting to find out my new direction. If I stay on the same track I am my destination is a broken down over used body. I know I can change things up to focus on other things, even if that means just leaning up and building mass later from a leaner frame. Let's be honest here, worst case scenario I have to get a surgery and can not compete until October or November, maybe as far away as early next year. If I need surgery it will probably be done immediately so I don't have to fiddle-phuck around with this any longer than needed. I can still do a muscle model category even if I can not lift. I only say that because I am meant to have muscle. It does not go away, it is part of who I am and how I am made.

These pictures below are after a 1 year lay off from the weights I only did cardio for that year trying to "Heal thyself" before getting the MRI and finding out I had totally screwed my shoulder up... The pics are 7 weeks after my shoulder surgery 2.5 years ago. This is when I really learned my body and what it responds too since becoming lean while maintaining muscle mass was my goal even though I was not lifting. Doing anything upper bdy wise then caused me pain in my shoulders. No weight pushing or pulling on the shoulder joint or OUCH!!!!

Just standing relaxed but stomach tight.

YES my legs look like that with out lifting. I know it is a curse... :squint:
However I think I am coming to grips with that burden. :trout:

Well then you should be fine going a couple months without leg training... 1 month back and you'll be set.

Yeah, I think in my normal mode that would be correct but I will try to reintroduce the pain slowly. I have aquired the taste as you so eloquently put it in your signature, but now I have to curb the urge to try to get back into it as fast as possible. So now I will be breaking back in easier than I have in the past. We will say 2 months for the legs. Muscle memory should help. Either way I feel lucky to have my genetics and know I wont wither away. I think coming in gradually over a few months will allow my muscle memory to get me back into bigger sizes without going overly heavy. Done correctly I should be albe to put some mass on them with some 225 lb squats pre-exhausted by some extensions or something. I am also going to work on my hamstrings and calves more during this time. Chest will continue to be pounded by flyes and cables unless I have to have surgery on the elbow. Back will be done with some pull overs and maybe a rack dead or two with some pull downs. Shoulder will probably be all varying types of raises. We shall see what I can make happen.

you are definately looking leaner Kleen. seperations coming along nicely. Agree with DW on the layoff... with wheels like that...

Well that was 2.5 years ago. Just put it up to remind myself that even with a year lay off from lifting I still looked like that. Yeah I wish I was that lean now. I have been more relaxed on my diet as of late. I am really all over the place with all of this and have been trying to maintain weight right now. It is working and I am somehow leaning up very little at a time now but still leaning. I was only 170 in those pictures I am 200 right now. I don't think I will be that lean until about 194-195, it is really hard to tell only place I have fat left is right on my stomach and under my pecs. A couple pounds makes a lot of difference in that scenario.

Yeah that is the smallest I have been since I was 14 years old. I hit 5'8" and 180 with 29 inch waist pants by 14 and only got thicker from that point on. Funny thing someone accused me of steroids then... LOL I was so small then compared to now. Heck compared to a year before that, but tons leaner. Like I said I was 170 lbs in those shots. If you look at the one I am standing there relaxed you can see the atrophy in my right arm from not doing anything with it. I didn't open doors, or hold anything heavier than 5-10 lbs in that arm during that time. It was really small compared to the other one by the end of that year.

Pics look great regardless of timeframe!

I hope that MRI comes out okay. I can't stand holding back because of an injury. I feel your pain, no pun intended. Good luck tomorrow friend.

Good luck bro, I'm going to try and get back in the gym after 8 weeks from shoulder surgery. Lightweight baby!!!(literally)

if thats what ur legs look like without lifting....u have nothing to worry about....

and its ok Kleen....being pretty is a curse...just suck it up and smile for the camera! Then walk away with a pay check and buy some protein haha

how long until you get the MRI read?? It took me a week after the MRI. I hated that week, but that is military. Hopefully you get yours faster.

Yeah, remember though some of the pain is needs to be pushed through for the recovery. It is very hard to tell the difference. I laid off due some of the pain because I didn't know what to expect and my insurance had run out in between jobs so I could't do any therapy and wasn't familiar with the pain I was supposed to push through and stopped training. When I could go back in my doctor told me I was succesful in his eyes with 90% ROM and if I wanted better than that it was about sucking it up and working through the scar tissue. That was ALL I needed to hear 3 months later I was pushing 275 for 9 reps. That was 9-10 months out from the surgery. Also when I got my first bit of tendonitis in my elbow. I got way to strong way to fast and haven't recovered there in the elbow yet. Keep plugging and don't be afraid to do the work. However give your other tendons time to catch up to your muscle memory or you could end up in this situation.

LOL I feel pretty... Oh so pretty. I feel pretty, and witty, and wise.
Thanks
Dam you Kleen!, just told myself i need to hit legs a little harder:lol:
Smash them and enjoy them ;) . You know with my tiny knees you figure the joint would have geven before muscle and tendon...

I can go in for a follow up some time next week. I just have to call them to make a follow up after the MRI. He is only in the Downtown office Mon and Thursday so one of those 2 days. Pref Monday if possible.

WOW! Thanks DW, that is one hell of a statement there. Funny, I have always thought they weren't big enough.

Getting ready to head in for MRI.

I will be heading in for an MRI. I did my bodyfat this morning and it is the same as last time. I am the same weight too basically. I think I may need to re-evaluate my caloric intake as I am defintely not burning as many calories right now. Just excluding the leg work, and intensity I probably shaved 200-300 cals of my workout.

I think I am going to order the 50 dollar container of Cissus and dose the fug out of it. Money was a little tight but I can swing it now along with the elbow and knee sleeves.

That's a cool feeling...

Well guys, I just finished up my MRI and had a neat experience that would have annoyed most people but for a body builder it was like a compliment. I honestly don't think of myself as a BIG guy. I mean I know I am muscular and what not but I don't see myself as a person who takes up a ton of space. Well apparently I am wrong. We had to try 3 different ways to get me into the MRI machine. First was on my side with one arm over my head in the contraption. No sooner than my arm went up my lat popped out and I was too wide, my head and shoulder could not clear the MRI tube. next she tried some special apparatus and put me on my back, my shoulders were still basically touching the sides of the MRI tube and she could't get a good signal. Finally she got me in on my stomach with my shoulder half tuncked under me and my head buried in my other shoulder, that was the only way to get me in. She kept apologizing for it and I was like NO, don't sweat it... That is a cool feeling to be too big for a one size fits all peice of equipment. They said my doctor will have the report by this afternoon so I am making a follow up for Monday here in a minute. I can't wait to find out something.

Sorry to drag you all along on the ride but on another note this log is also a journal of sorts. You are being exposed to my inner thoughts and concerns, and not just my fitness. You are all now basically friends of mine on an almost intimate level by sharing this info and experience with me.

Very true my friend. I can't offer you a handshake or a protein shake amongst friends, but I can offer you respect and emotional support. Bodybuilding is life for some and this is part of it. The good, the bad, the ugly. It's what we're here for. Much love brotha.

Yah self perception is a funny thing, there's been times when I have commented on how big someone was only to have the wife inform me that I am bigger...

we've been telling you you're freaking HUGE!!!! I thought those Musclehedz Cartoons looked familiar. You were the guy labled Super Genetic Freak with the monster thighs that they couldn't fit into the MRI machine... right???

Why thank you Sir!

Yeah that happens constantly too. Every once in a while I will catch a glimpse of my real self in a reflection and be like Damn I am big.

LOL Except I got a big old head man! Size 7.5-8 The MRI tech was tripping when I told her I generally have to get larger pants for my legs or if I get the relxed fit in my waist size they are tight on my thighs and butt. Like I said it is weird to think of myself as big of course I do hang out with a guy that is 8 inches taller and outweighs me buy 125 lbs. You don't typically feel big around a guy that size. He has like 24 inch arms and a 60 some odd chest when he got fit for a tux a while back. SHEESH!!!!

please tell me that it is a lot off fat... other wise I think myself and the other 6'3"+ guys around here are going to cry ourselves to sleep tonight in the fetal position... ok perhaps not TG, but then again gods from his relm NEVER cry!!!!

He is 6'2" about 320 an 17% right now, guy is HUGE when he told me his jacket was a size 60 something I was like Dang I didn't even realize you were that big. I was desensitized to him though. I remember meeting him and honestly feeling miniscule. We take pictures together and he is so big I look like a little boy standing next to him. Dude reps did 5 reps of 525 raw no shirt during our 5 reps sets a little while back. Other big swole dudes look small next to him. He could compete at about 265-270 I think.

Put that build on someone in law enforcement that knows a lot about submission holds...and you have my younger brother. The guy is flat out scary!! I have decent size but next to him I feel like a dwarf.

Yeah this guy studied Krav Maga and was also a pro ball player special teams and stuff but you get tough taking those kind of hits. Kinda scary in both situations.

Krav maga is some bad ass stuff, I remember I saw a show on it on discovery channel before. Them people are ruthless and deadly and psycho!

Wow, Krav Maga, impressive. It's very practical for real life encounters, and should be, considering how it was developed.

Sorry to hear about the elbow man, hope it all works out the way you want it to bud. A little bit late on wishing ya well, sorry bout' that.

......NAPOLEON COMPLEX ACTIVATE!!!! lol

Man has some bad as* genetics

Here is the show.. fuggin awesome episode. That chic is so bad ass and sexy... I wonder how she is in the sack :D

Yeah that is intense! I am sorry for the lack of updates this weekend. My leg is a little achy and I can not shake these allergies. They are trying to give me bronchitis with all of the post nasal drip going on. I decide to take the weekend off too. My elbow is not feeling the love right now and with those 3 things I figure my body has enough to fix without me tearing myself down more. I will be starting a cut soon since I know I will be losing some mass I am going to get lean prevent what loss of lbm I can, and then use muscle memory to add back size after I am healed up. I have not been eating as much this week due to feeling like crap, I know I am losing some weight, probably a little LBM but now is the time for Heal Fast. I am gonna just give the old body what it needs for now, a lack of constant abuse. Weights lifted will all be aimed at recovery in effected areas, and we may see a little more work on hammies, and things like pec decs and what not things I can hit harder without hurting the elbow or whatever. Going to be an interesting journey over the next few months.

Tomorrow at 3:00PM I find out if surgery is required on the elbow and will let you all know for sure sometime after I get home.

I GOT MY FINGERS CROSSED FOR THE ELBOW NEWS BUD

My prayers are with you Kleen

All the best Kleen for getting this figured out and coming back bigger and better!!

Now is the time to figure out a rock solid nutrition plan. You can't lose much mass if your eating right and still exercising. Not a good time for a cut, (just my opinion), maybe a recomp where you get very scientific about your nutrition. Yah I know I think recomp is always the answer lol...

I agree completely, I was just mentioning that to someone that now is the time for a cut but with the intention of keeping my lbm. If I nail the nutrition completely I can even maybe gain a little mass if my elbow doesn't require surgery. If it does then that leaves me with only very light legwork and cardio for 5 more weeks.

I just got the APT Double Ply Convict Elbow and Knee sleeve set. This way I can still train like a Warrior, just wearing more armor to the battle. I read up a bit and even though these offer a lot of support you can leave them on for most of a work out too. I am also at the bottom end of the size so they may not be as tight on me as some. These will be great for me as I bring poundages up too for the extra support. Hopefully after I get this stuff straight and strengthen up my tendons more I can do some more serious strength training. I am a bit nervous about what I may hear today at the ortho but whatever, as long as I get an answer. Hopefully something Prolotherapy or something can fix intstead.

good luck with the news on the elbow brother! and my APT wraps took a few weeks to break in. They were as comfortable as Judas Priest in a nun convent when I first used them. But they soften up around the edges real nice and are well worth the initial discomfort!!

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWRRRRR!!!!! Muhahah!!! just makin sure this some high intensity rawring haha!!! nice on the wraps i need to start looking into wraps

LOL Thanks for the intensity good Sir! After tonight when I have a direction I am heading in I will know where to place my intensity. Then it is on!
