I like truenutritions proteins. You can pick the type of protein as well as the flavour amounts and they will mix it accordingly. You can also get it unflavoured and purchase flavour packages on the side to add it yourself.

Raw egg whites are not bad, if you get them in the carton they are not thick and mix easily. I would use them in my protein shakes at one time.
 
Yah stay away from the raunchy strange ones... issues. Strange is fine but doesn't mix well with raunchy :(

I found the idea of "intention" to be a real novel idea. And to be honest didn't really understand it until I tried it with lat pulldowns, and squats. I quickly learned how activating the muscle so intensely and deliberately throughout the range of motion hits my muscles in new ways.
I am still having some difficulty feeling the "intention" on the bottom of a bench press but I know that it will come as I get more in tuned with the muscle firing in that bottom/stretch position.
As DreamWeaver said, maybe not new for everyone, but for me who was someone that just tried to always lift heavier this new direction is golden.

All you have to do to get the initial intentions on bench press is bring your shoulders down, by down I mean if you were standing and pressed your shoulders down towards the floor. So on the bench you want them retracted with your shoulder blades then before pressing adjust your shoulders down toward your feet, it automatically engages the pecs.

I agree with Wrivest, leg extensions can be brutal on your knees. My vote on knee sleeves are the Rehbands. I've tried the Kono's in the past but they ended up splitting and losing all compression after about 3 months. The Rehbands are comfortable and have been a real knee saver.
I like my Titans which are the mock up of the original 7.5 Rehbands but they have double stitching and are half the price. You should have a look at them instead. People review them as good or better than the Rehbands.
I watched a YouTube video this morning and this part captured my attention.

-What makes a guy get up at 3 o'clock in the morning vs a guy that gets up just in time to go to work. It's not that the guy who has to be to work at 7 o'clock and gets up at 6:30 to be somewhere at 7, it's not that he doesn't know that if he gets up at 5 o'clock, he could be better. The problem is that he don't have the heart, he don't have the discipline to get up early. It's not the knowledge that he lacks, it's the HEART.

This was my morning run along the American River.
I like the idea of that, but really if the guy has a heart for some other goal other than getting up in the morning to exercise doesn't mean no heart. Just no heart for that particular interest.

I've been reading a lot from Jason Ferruggia and he recommends a lower protein diet with more carbs. Usually 125 grams for men. I haven't tried going this low myself but I have dropped to around 200 per day and that is at a weight of 260 and so far it seems to be going good.
I like my meat and eggs so I don't think I would ever get that low but it is interesting to read and see how other people are trying it out.

I have maintained all of my muscle and then some through injury and training around injury. All while dropping my protein to 150-170 a day. No problems at all other than wanting more meat. I will still throw down on some meat here and there but gone are the days of 300g of protein daily.

Soooo.... I've been on a bulking binge for 2 years. I'm a lot stronger and solid but I'm a lot fatter as well. I don't know what I want anymore, to tell you the truth...

I definitely don't handle deep tissue massage well. They hurt me. It's no fun getting sore from a massage.

Good morning! Bumped the volume back up today because I plan on doing cardio at lunch. I really enjoyed it! Back has got to be my favorite muscle group to train! Workout was great! Dropped the weight on some of the exercises to slow down the reps a lot! Really felt everything light up!! Scale is not budging so far but I am feeling leaner. I have to work on being happy with my body each step of the way! I can't just keep waiting to reach "that perfect point" before I appreciate my progress! The negative thoughts are not helping me. So I am going to start being more positive and thankful for how far I've come so far.

I have weird pain thresholds. Tattoos I'm good with, child birth...no problem, but when someone is "digging" in my muscles I don't like it. It may be more of my sensory isues playing into it.

Is it mostly on extension movements? Have you tried pressing variations instead? What ex's are you doing that hurt?

*drooling* I LOVE the leg thickness and ink, you are definitely not ANYwhere close to the definition of fat, you look Immaculate and stunning to me, very nice pic, keep up the great work! but never degrade or take away from yourself, you are an amazing person and still have so much amazing things to achieve .

you do skull crushers with a straight bar or ez-curl? cause you can switch to a slightly thumbs/palm turned in a little bit to take the stress off, sometimes I get it bad in my forearms and elbows, and its annoying so I will switch bars for skullcrusher/tri-extensions, you can even use a rope on a high pulley and lean forward away from the machine and do extensions like that with the rope in that outward V shape....

Thank you for the awesome compliment! I did it with a straight bar last night. This gym did not have an ez-curl. I'm going to do other tri exercises cuz that skull crusher killed my arms.

Dips, close grip bench press

You could also try incorporating more db movements as the weight will be much lighter. Kickbacks are good

Yeah when you get your elbows out away from the body, there's more stress on the tendon. It comes with the territory when you're trying to add some meat to the triceps down by your elbow. I was taught that movements like that strengthen the tendon. Also was told, "If it hurts, it's weak. If it's weak, we train it!"

One thing you can try before ditching them from your routine is to start off triceps with pushdowns. Light and for high reps. It'll get some blood and warmth in your elbows before you do that other stuff. I do four or five sets of 15-20 before all my pressing days. Sleeves would help too. And every once in awhile I mash the hell out of my lower inner triceps and the tendon with a barbell.

I don't know what I did to my back but man does it hurt! I couldn't sleep due to the pain so I got up and have been rolling and stretching trying to work it out! It hurt like this about a year ago. The source is somewhere in the glutes/lower back area. I will probably avoid doing lower body today but I am going to try to do the rest of my workout.

Not sure. It may just be a build up of muscle tension. Last time it happened, my hips were off real bad creating an imbalance in my legs. Guess I'll have to go to the chiropractor.

Check out Jill Miller's stuff on YouTube. Great material. Tons of different techniques to get to various muscle groups.
I had the opportunity to go to one of her seminars, and would highly recommend it to anyone. I was having issues with my IT and piriformis for ages, and after doing some of the techniques demonstrated the relief was immediate.
She teaches how to massage using various sized rubber balls (similar to lacrosse balls but not nearly as hard and unforgiving). With the balls she shows 9 different ways to engage and massage muscles and muscle groups.
I can't give enough praise to her teaching and the techniques discussed.
