Hey Ageless :) How's your summer going?

1st of July I stepped in a hole getting out of my truck....problems walking or even standing up for about 2-3 weeks. I am better now I can at least walk short distances.

With a bad lower back, quality marathon sex is out of the question. I am thinking of lowering my testosterone meds for a while..that will help. (less libido)

God..I miss going to the gym.:jaw:

Hang in there youngster. Once the shock and setback have subsided you'll just go back to the gym and put it all back together again. It may be the strongest drug we have to deal with. I'm much more the powerlifter type than bodybuilder. A month ago I had a mini-stoke where I went blind for a while. I had to lay off while they ran a ton of tests and finally I started back and I can feel the strength returning. I'm still scared when I lift heavy but as my body recovers my spirits lift again. You will soon do the same, I'm sure.

Thanks Dutch...I needed that....today at the gym was great,I love all my people....The sound even the smell is awesome ...
,....my god am I crazy? It was nice to be back!!

How are you doing with your back ? Sounds like a Chryopractor might help - but not sure. I went to one and they helped me in a few sessions - I was squatting 365 deep - but that only lasted a couple months and I would have to keep going back. I will be 49 next month, so I am down to a 315 max, and accepting that it just not worth the lower back stress.

You mentioned GH 2IU, 5 on 2 off - I wonder if I am over doing it - I go thru a 10IU bottle every 3-4 days depending on how much water I use - usually about 40cc s turns into close to 10cc per insulin shot - right in the belly. 6 on one off usually. I switch from evening to morning from time to time, When do you take it. I understand that you want blood sugar low when you take it. For me it has been 2 months - and it is kind of slow determining if it is working since 750cc of test a week at the same time. Nice combo I think. I think it has helped as I went from11% body fat at 196to 7.9% at 198 lbs in 10 weeks Still trying to get to 5% for a show in 6 weeks. But honestly I only got to doing disciplined cardio in the last couple weeks - before that the transformation did not seem to show up on the BF% or scale.
Best of luck to you on your recovery

Wow! All your numbers have me confused...maybe someone will jump in here and help you out.

As for 750cc of test a week...I don't understand 750 test?? What are you taking? I would like to see a picture of you @ 5% body fat, you must look awesome!!!

My program is for HRT only! At my age 750 mg a week of any test would be harmful. I believe in balanced hormones for quality of life and pushing iron to look good.

I am like a old 1944 Ford Pickup with a new engine and nice paint job - and believe me I know NOT TO POP THE CLUTCH! LOL

Good Luck Bro!

750ccs a week of test injections will get you in the 2500 range on a blood test for total test, so I understand and agree with you that HRT is the best way to go and manage test in the 500-800 range (oh ok, right up to 1200) . I am using it to hold mass through a cutting phase, and it works well but I am switching - I am at 7.9% - but will be glad to get pics up after my show in 6 weeks. Need to switch up test now, as the stuff - and HGH make you hold water. I want to get off HGH for a month every 3 months anyway to keep the natural stuff from going to far off. Info:

Ageless - we need to get you on stage - you would kick butt as an Ultra Grand Master!

I second that, Ageless. It's inspiring to a lot of guys who would otherwise say "I'm too old to get into shape"....

Besides, someone has to show the pups that it's not over at 35.

Ageless, would like to ask you some questions, please contact me.

Sidnee -

I have no idea who you are or how to contact you.

The proper procedure is to post your questions on this board...after you've read all the stickies...but if you post here or on the proper boards in general..then we can all learn from your questions.

If your questions are pertaining to bodybuilding - then you need to post in the steriod forum...HRT is what it is...HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY.

Yes I am on HRT...yes I am a bodybuilder.

My HRT gives me a better quality of life...pushing iron from point "A" to point "B" will build my body.

My wife says I look good..but I cant even open a pickle jar...

AGELESS

HRT - can be a lot of things - I believe in it, and have heard of HGH and natural Test as well as others (IGF-1), to bring up hormone levels that naturally decrease with age. A blood test can tell you at any age if you are in the normal range - though they all seem to have different definitions of normal. Roughly total Test should be at least 500, but the range goes up to 1200 when you are in your 20s and moves toward 800 are you get into your 50s and 60s, though it is very common for it to dip below the 500 level, and experience effects of low libido, and muscle loss, depression, etc. So HRT under a doctors care helps you get to the hormone levels you need to be able to feel good - and if you take good care of your self, weight training exercise, and clean diet - you can have the body of someone much younger - and have the energy to go with it. The studies I have read always say at the end - "we do not know the long term effects", so it is not without risk - but if you stay within normal healthy ranges, I think it is a great thing to do. The folks that abuse these hormones - dirving total test up over 4000 when they are in their 20s and need not assistance over the 1200 mark grow into freaks - but at a risk of addiction and other side effects and many feel that there are sever dangers to organ function. HRT is use not abuse - some will argue that there is a reason why natural hormones decrease with age - and it should not be messed with. I disagree.

Ok,, Ageless, I am 45, professional trainer for 21 yrs.and do HRT. I have several clients around your age, your conditioning is awesome,I would like to know what your HRT consists of ?

HRT and "Normal"

Gotta put in my 2 cents' worth. I'm also on HRT, and have been for about 3 years now. It's made a huge difference in the way I feel. The psychological impact has been far more profound than the physical side effects (better ability to synthesize proteins {build muscle} and higher metabolic rate {lose fat}).

Regarding the quote: The reference ranges that TEST mentions aren't really normal at all - they are typical - a huge difference. Let me put it another way....if we looked at age the way we looked at reference ranges, normal for 90 would be dead. Hmmmmm.....

PS Big Joey - Sorry about using the term "Normal range" it came from use by the labs doing blood tests. My research show that the ranges are not what most people of those ages experience - but I have not found alot of reasonable results from actual tests of a representative population. My experience - you start feeling different under 500. But that is different for everyone, certainly under 300 and you feel the difference. It is only hard to detect because it comes on so slow - folks write it off as part of getting old. I would guess that are large percent - of folks in their mid 40s on up start hitting under 500, or lower - so a range from 300-800 tells you very little since most of us are not luck enough to ride in the 800-1200 range without some help.
