man sucks to hear about your injury bro...hope its not surgery that sucks. glad to see the rez is going good!
Get well bud, take the recovery slow. You'll thank yourself in the long run.
Great to see ya PR. Lookin good in that avatar kid...Lean fo sho!
Thanks for the support.
pr is getting in shape for his run at the mod position. he would make a good one, imo.:147:
Way to keep on trucking bud! Sucks about the tear bud. Good luck with your doctor appointment.. You think you will most likely need to get surgery? Best of luck to you buddy and I hope everything goes smooth and you heal fast
Prefacing by saying I cheated on diet. Gained a lb, 209lbs. Couldnt help myself watchin football, cheated with pizza and wings. Anyway, we'll clean that up and get back on track..I will also say my workouts have been friggin awesome on Rezolution. Im focused, intense and driven...exactly how I wanna be when 'in the cage'.
So, heres the workout...
30 mins cardio warm.
Incline Chest Machine
Warm 80x20
225x8
225x8, 180x8, 150x8
-Thats right, did chest. Call me stupid, dumb, ignorant. Even though this MRI shows a partial tear, I feel no pain, discomfort and my workout couldnt have gone better. I went lighter than usual and was extra careful, but I was happy with the results.
Hammer Strength Row (back)
Warm 90x30
270x6
220x6, 180x8, 130x8
-Tendonitis flare as usual in left arm. However, talking with my doctor, I upped dose considerably and there was less pain with more weight...we'll see where this goes..
Hammer Strength Press (shoulder)
Warm 90x15
230x6
230x3, 180x3, 130x6, 90x8
-Weak. Incline bench took its toll. Did my best here. No discomfort in pec region; last week had discomfort in pec area on overhead shoulder exercises.
Leg Press
Warm 270x15
540x8
720x6, 540x8, 360x8
-Felt good. Sleeved up and got er done.
Reverse Leg Curls
Warm 35x20
95x8
95x8, 75x8, 55x8
Hammer Curls
Warm 35x10
50x6
40x6, 30x6, 20x6
-Pumped, nice. Work is payin off...
Finished up with 10 min cardio. Psyched with how things went. Cardio tomorrow, however, another storm so hopefully I can get into the gym.
Boy, you go for the whole body. Do you always train like that? Or are you doing it for the metabolic purposes of your cut?
This is Kleens Phase 1 with some exercise modifications..The rest periods are 60-90...I end up sweating like no other..and the gratifying feel I get when I'm done is super addicting..Phase 2 is brutality. Love both of them.
I recently was doing a 5x5 with 7s hybrid ..before that, standard 1 or 2BP's per day. I change it up frequently..For this run, itll be phase 1 and phase 2 up until april'ish..
Best part of it is the DOM's are relatively low so I can hit it hard again EOD. In between workouts is just cardio...
Ahhhh, now I recognize it from Kleen's logs. Good stuff man, sorry to hear about the minor tear, but good to know you were able to hit moderate chest without any complications. Just watch yourself.

that warrior workout is no joke. I tried it one month and sissyed out. It really takes the wind out of you like you cant believe. Awesome workout!! I wanted to get a few more notches under my belt and than try it again. I was thinking I will use it for my upcoming DCP/Heat stack log. Should get some great body compostion changes with the warrior workout and those two products :friday:
Shoveling snow burns Alot of cals. Keep doing ur thing and watch that tear
Yeah man looks like you are doing great. Partial tear that seems to be allowing you to recover. If only muscle and not torn too bad you may not require a surgery. We can hope anyway. All signs are pointing to good from that last workout. Hoping for good news from the Ortho.
been reading the log-working out with an injury takes a lot of inner strength, props.
The pectoralis major is a very large muscle and it will usually heal well on its own as long as you didn't completely detach it from the humerus. If you did detach it, then you could have quite a bit of weakness and problems down the road...if it wasn't detached and was just a muscle tear, you may be able to get by without the surgery and just giving it time to heal on its own.
some words of encouragement.

Clearly, you don't have a full detachment, otherwise you'd have that swollen, grotesque looking internal bleeding and you sure as hell couldn't have benched.
K Ladies...Damn solid workout today...
Here goes!
Smith Machine Barbell Rows
Warm 50x20
170x6
Machine bearing broke, moved to standard Barbell Rows
225x6, 185x6, 135x8
Cleans
Warm 135x8
205x6
225x4, fail 2x, 185x8, 155x8
-Gettin stronger...love it.
TCups
Warm 5x10
15x10
15x10, 10x8, 5x10
-Clean and Tcups = Shoulder Pauldrons. Awesome.
HAck Squat
Warm 180x10
360x6
320x8, 270x8, 180x8
-Intensity of this workout is not for the weak hearted...the rigorous work and low rest periods make the end product very gratifying.
Stiff Legged Deads
Warm 135x10
275x8
315x6, 275x6, 225x6
-Work complete.
Dosed 2 Rezolution preworkout. Did 30 mins cardio pre-anaerobic. Intensity and focus was super high..lovin this run..this stuff works fellaz...dont be afraid! Carbin up 2nite, no workout tomorrow, ultrasound. Resume work on Friday.
That is very encouraging. I got under the bar today on the decline. Same setup that put me in my current position. Pressed just the bar and decided against doing any pressing...dunno..
Yes either way avoid the movement that tore it for a bit. Moving the exact same angle under tension is going to activate the same muscular contraction that tore the muscle in the first place. That is where the most tension is placed from that move and why it tore there. So some chest work like lighter incline may be okay however flat may even irritate it if pushed.
Case in point with my injury. I was able to continue doing high rows for 5 months after tearing my labrum because it did not effect the same area but as soon as I attempted a relatively light bb row it was obvious I was still torn. Not recommending training around an injury so much as saying if you do avoid the same ROM that you hurt your self in.
If you must work chest may I recommend a 4-1-2 tempo on chest movements? Slowing the bar down that much is going to really decrease the load you are capable of pushing. It may keep you from pushing beyond your boundaries for a bit while getting a lot of blood flow to the area for some healing.
Dave, where you been fella!?
Ive been around but not posting to much. Switched training styles...seeing how strong I can get. hoping to hit the 2000 lbs club...gonna take some serious work
Flex I am doing well and am released from surgery and go back to work Monday. I already have full range of motion in my shoulder 1 week out from surgery. Was lucky it was a clean tear and he just cut the torn flap off, cleaned up the surface where the tear was and got out. I couldn't have been any luckier other than not having an injury at all but. Good stuff gonna update in my log though instead of yours. LOL
What kind of energy would you say you get from it? A shakey jittery type high? A more of a mental type high? Or what? How would you describe it?
A focused, I wanna get my **** done, leave me alone, i FEEL ALIVE!
No jitters/shakes..mentally uplifting for sure..I pop one before work and feel ready to roll as soon as I roll in...

Glad to hear it bro! You sound re-enthused from the news, that's awesome.
I really was skeptical about this as many saw in the Q&A thread now I feel like I am missing out if I don't get any... soon I will have to pick some up as it seems to be the cat's meow of stims.
Good stuff Flex happy to hear that you can continue to train chest within reason.
I put up a recovery and cut log here has my info on timelines a little and pics of the surgery.
