Being 6'3" isn't exactly conducive to huge quads. Not making excuses....just progress!!! I like thighs like Arnold's instead of Tom Platz' quads anyway. Different strokes for different folks. CHEST--High Incline DB Bench Presses--50'sX10, 100'sX17!!, 100'sX16>80'sX12>50'sX15. I was more surprised to hit the 16 reps on that second set than I was the 17 reps on the first set. Concentrating on FUF (form until failure) rather than my old lifting style. I can "Branch Warren" the 100's for 23 reps on Incline his way!!
BACK--DB Pullovers--50X10, 100X14, 100X12>70X13>50X15. Sweetness. My lats are sore in all the right places today!! I hope everyone can figure out that I'm doing 1 work set, resting a minute, then hitting up a second workset with 2 drops immediately following with NO rest between the 3 drop sets!! Anywhoo..
SHOULDERS--Machine Shoulder Presses--Yes, Irish another machine..ha ha We're not all hardcore like your Celtic self!! 120X10, 220X12, 220X12>180X10>140X18!! Went slightly Berzerker on that one....
TRICEPS--Behind Head DB Extensions--50X10, 100X14!!, 100X12>70X12>50x10. Sounds like girlie weights....felt like brutal man weights!! Rember FORM here, I can use 150lb DB for 10 reps with so-so form. That's out the window for now!! Maybe when the Prop starts....
BICEPS--Machine Preacher Curls--My absolute favorite exercise in all the nine worlds!! 100X10, 200X12, 200X12>150X10>100X15. Swollen like 2 huge footballs. Big water hose vein running down the sides.
QUADS--Hack Squats--150X10, 400X14!! (for Irish Cannon), 400X 10 (felt hammie tighten up)>200X12. Can't complain for an old 46 year old senior like myself. Wait til the Natadrol arrives!!! Gonna smash these numbers like Mjolnir smashing the skulls of frost giants!!! Boo-Yah!!
HAMSTRINGS--Lying Leg Curls--60X10, 140X10, 100X12 (right ham still tight from Hack Squats)>100X10>70X10. Smoked ham....simply delicious!! I hope I'm not confusing people blurting in on the sets like this...
TODAY Monday January 25,2010.
30 minutes of cardio and ab work followed by some hammer curls (DB 60'sX12 and some seated calf raises (200X25) A couple of sets of each. Didn't hit 'em yesterday. These workouts are long. Taking 1 hour and 20 minutes. Trying to cut the time down.
But I must say, I was sweating like Branch Warren.....in church....on crack!!!!! LMFAO up in this Loki Library!!! Getting looks. Took my huge jacket off and exposed myself in a "wife beater" tank top. Yes, even at my age, I'm so vain!!!
