Training
Did another boot-camp workout today. Exercises have been different each time I've taken this class. Not sure if I'm starting to get used to the workouts or if today's exercises were easier, but I made it through today's workout without feeling like I was going to throw up. A definate plus.

Also did some light cardio after class. 15 minutes on tready at 2.5 incline and 3.8 speed.

Diet - High Carb day
Morning - Shake (1 scoop of protein, 3 tsp of natty pb) + 1/2 cucumber
Lunch - Grilled Turkey, 1 apple
Afternoon - Grilled Turkey, side salad, orange
Dinner - Chef Salad with Ham
Night - Cottage cheese with natty pb and choc. protein

Notes - Definately holding some water today. I'm wearing the same pants and belt as I did last Thursday and they are tight around the waist today. Last week I had to drop a notch in the belt just to hold the pants up. Interesting to see how much the body changes from day to day and how foods effect you.

Yeah, I know it's not exactly high carb, but I've found I feel a lot better if I don't have complex carbs (oatmeal, potatoes, beans etc...). So now I just consider a high carb day a day when I have 3 meals with fruits.

So 3 servings of fruit = High
2 servings of fruit = Med
1 serving of fruit = Low

By the way, I made a mistake yesterday, it should have been a med carb day.

Notes - Just an fyi, I bought the TRS stack from PP for PCT. I know it's not needed and probably overkill but I figured better safe than sorry. Hopefully with the TRS and continued diet, I'll keep my strength gains once my AH ends.

Yeah, I try to keep Carbs as low as possible. Honestly I feel a lot better when I keep them to a minimum. Not sure why, but for me personally, I have more energy when I up my veggies/fruits and limit complex carbs.
 
Day 42 - Sept 23

Training
Did a full body muscle pump class today. It was pretty intense. A lot of DB exercises including squats, lunges, clean & press, chest press, db rows etc...I probably went a little to heavy on the db's used, and I paid the price by the end of class. Was completely exhausted.

Diet - Mid Carb day
Morning - Shake (1 scoop of protein, 3 tsp of natty pb, banana) + 1/2 cucumber
Lunch - Canned Salmon, 2tsp of natty pb
Post W/o - protein shake and banana
Afternoon - Grilled Chicken Salad
Dinner - Scrambled eggs with peppers
Night - Cottage cheese with natty pb and choc. protein

Notes - Going on vacation this weekend. So I'm sure I'll have a couple of cheat meals. Will try to keep it as clean as possible, but will enjoy some of my fav foods.
 
Just got back from the mountains. Had a great time with the family. Didn't get much exercise except for a 2 hour hiking trip to see a waterfall. Definately didn't keep up with diet over the weekend. Ate pretty much what I wanted, but really didn't eat anything to bad. Most of the bad stuff was trail mix, salsa and chips and some bbq. Not to bad, but a lot of calories. Taking 1 more vacation day tomorrow to catch up on house work so probably no training but will keep diet clean.
 
Im like you, as long as i have a refeed once to twice per week i feel golden outside of hunger. Its going to be interesting when i come off this bulk and attempt to bulk on a keto type diet :lol:

Yeah, I didn't used to be like that until I ran one of Scivation's Game Over Diets which limits most carbs to around weekly refeeds. After running that diet, plus others like Carb Cycling, Keto, etc... I've kinda migrated a little of each to make my own personal diet.

Good luck on your upcoming bulking/keto diet, that should be good times :thumbsup:

Low carb bulks are fun - I did one at the beginning of this year to break 240 for the first time.

Breakfast would be: 6 whole eggs, 6 whites, 5 strips of bacon, topped with 1/4C of cheese, salsa, sour cream and avocado. Of course, the eggs were cooked in the bacon grease. Mmmm...

Damn this cut.

240? Hell getting there was easy. LOL :D. Getting to 290 @10% BF and below...now that took some real effort for me. However, I am done with those days of being a mass monster...too expensive to get there and even more expensive to maintain it.

Time to aim toward staying between 240-260, which is relatively simple for me to get back down to and maintain. I just have to be healthy again. F*cking Knee Injury!!!

Anyway, cutting can be frustrating for sure my fellow teammate, but keep your head up...you can stick to it and achieve your goals bud.

Holy crap, I couldn't even imagine the amount of calories it would take to bulk to 290lbs and be at 10% bf. The amount of money on protein alone (steak, chicken, tuna, protein pwdr, etc...) had to be outrageous.

Day 47 - Sept 28

Training
Did a boot camp workout today to burn some weekend calories off. Today's routine was by far the toughest so far. It was basically 10 different exercises and each exercise was done in 30 second intervals starting from exercise 1 all the way to 10.
So basically it looked like this
1st = 30 seconds of 1st exercise
2nd = 30 seconds of 2nd exercise superset with 1st exercise
3rd = 30 seconds of 3rd exercise superset with 2nd and 1st exercise
and so on until we hit 10 exercises with 9 supersets (which was a full 5 minutes with no rest). Exercises were pushups, burpees, jump rope, lunges, shoulder pushups, etc...

Diet - Low Carb day
Morning - Shake (1 scoop of protein, 3 tsp of natty pb) + 1/2 cucumber
Lunch - Protein shake and natty pb
Post W/o - Grilled Chicken Salad and banana
Afternoon - Grilled Chicken Salad, fish oil
Dinner - Scrambled eggs with peppers, onions and 1/2 cucumber
Night - Cottage cheese with natty pb and choc. protein

Notes - Almost out of AH. I think I have 1 more dose left. Had to turn the bottle over and shake to get 3ml out this afternoon. I'm judging I have about a week left of the Green Tea and Dermatherm. I will start the TRS stack imediately after AH is done. Also, I consumed more calories than I thought over the weekend. Jumped on the scale today and I was at 194, 3lb increase.

Whenever my wife sees a picture of me with other people, she goes "Holy cow, you're HUGE!"

You spend enough time with a big guy and their size seems normal.
 
I get what your saying Resolve. I'm definately not that big but after strict dieting I can get pretty lean. Usually my wife doesn't ever comment on how I look until we go to the beach and she see's all the other guys without their shirts on. Then she usually makes little comments like I didn't realize how thick you are or how defined you are until I look at the other guys on the beach. It definately feels good on the ego :thumbsup:

Played in a flag football league, first game started at 9am and we made it all the way to the championship game at 5. Also, we only had 8 people so I had to play offense and defense which was really tough by the end of the day. Felt really good about the day though, because we were the only team that played both ways, while everyone else had enough people to switch out on offense and defense, and for us to make it all the way to the championship game (7 games in all), I won't complain. Honestly, by the last game, the entire team was so tired, we really couldn't do a whole lot. I know I sweated a lot, cause I usually pee like a race horse, but I drank 5 bottles of water, 2 gatorades and 2 cups of water and only had to pee once. I'm not looking forward to having to get out of bed tomorrow :thumbsup:

Ate 2 big plates of whatever looked good and 2 plates of desserts.

Also, today was my daughters 8th birthday. So I had some cake and cookies for her party. She is so spoiled, I'm 37 years old and never rode in a limo, and my wife and I rented a limo for her and her closest friends to ride around town in and go out to eat. She enjoyed it, couldn't wipe the smile off her face when the stretch limo pulled up in the driveway.

Notes - Shoulder pain is still there but has lessened. I'm guessing my joints aren't as dry as they were when running AH. Since I've been off a few days I've noticed a little difference. Also, I'm running really low on Dermatherm and Green Tea. I'm guessing I'll finish both by this Saturday. I'll then give it a few more days to let some of the water weight from the Derma decrease, then give my review and final stats.

Muscle Pump class. Medium weights ( I used 50lbs) to do an array of exercises for a lot of reps and for long durations. Example, would be single leg squats with weights for 1 minute straight then switch to opposite leg. A lot of push-ups and db rows also.

Diet - Low Carb day
Morning - Shake (1 scoop of protein, 3 tsp of natty pb, 1/2 cucumber)
lunch - Protein shake, large apple, 2 scoops of natty pb
Afternoon - Grilled Chicken Salad
Dinner - Eggs with peppers, small amount of grapes and 1 slice of sugar free sweet potato pie
Night - Plain Greek Yogurt with natty pb and choc. protein

Notes - Seemed to have another good day. Not sure if TRS is supposed to help endurance but I seem to be lasting a lot longer (hitting high reps before burn out) since I started my PCT, lol. Good stuff. I'll be interested to see if the gains in strength from AH will maintain during PCT as well.

1.5 hours of bball. Had a pretty good day. Legs felt good, not heavy like they have in the past. Endurance was good, able to go hard the whole time. Had some pretty competitive games which always help.

lunch - Protein shake, 1/2 cucumber, 2 handful of peanuts
Afternoon - Chicken parmesan (looked to good to pass up) and some squash, fish oil

Snack - 2 pieces of cookie cake left over from b-day party and some buttered popcorn.

Notes - Had a pretty good day today. Today was one of those days where the world just seemed a little brighter. Definately nothing to complain or gripe about in my life right now. The fact that my wife and I are trying (real hard) to have a baby might be playing a small part in my cheerful mood lately as well :thumbsup:

Notes - Most have miscalculated the amount of GT and DermaTherm I had left. Stuff just keeps coming out. I was expecting to be finished with the stack this weekend, but looks like I have a few more days left. Had a pretty good day Sat, diet wise but Sun was a bad one. My football team, Panthers sucked it up, and I took it out on a med pizza by myself. Also had a few leftover birthday cookies as well. Then finished the night off with some healthy mexican food, good stuff :thumbsup:
Training was pretty good today. Again I'd like to reiterate that the Green Tea plus TRS stack is doing wonders for my endurance. I'm just as amped on the last set as the 1st .

BB Bench Press 5x5 @ 255
Lat pulldowns 5x5 @ 165
OH DB Press - 5x5 @ 90
Seated DB Curls - 5x5 @ 45

Diet - Low Carb day
Morning - Shake (1 scoop of protein, 3 tsp of natty pb)

Great to hear, BD! You've done a great log here. You're one hell of a dad as well. My little girl is 10 months now, so I look forward to those days when I can bring that perma-grin to her face. :D

From one dad to another, enjoy it while you can. The past 8 years have absolutely flown by. Honestly it seems like 1 or 2 years ago, that we we're bringing her home from the hospital. Now she thinks she's big time because she doesn't have to sit in a booster seat anymore in the car.

Training

Boot Camp (45 minutes)- a little different today. Had to do a lot of running. Walked in the gym and the instructor had moved alot of the equipment and we ran sprints from 1 side of the gym to the other. Also did a lot of plyometrics with squat jumps, lunge jumps, etc.. across the gym.
Abs (15 minutes)

Diet - Med Carb day
Morning - Shake (1 scoop of protein, 3 tsp of natty pb, 1 large apple)
lunch - 4-5oz of steak, 1/2 cucumber, 1/2 banana
Post Workout - protein shake, 1/2 banana
afternoon- 8-10oz steak, veggies, fish oil
Dinner - Vegetable Beef soup, fish oil
Night - Plain Greek Yogurt with natty pb and choc. protein

Notes - Another good workout. Endurance just keeps getting better and better. Although I was drenched at the end of the workout I felt like I still had some energy to spare. I usually have to drag my tail out of the gym.
 
Well, it's official the stack is over. I only had 1 pump of DermaTherm Target this morning and finished up my last pill of Green Tea. I'll wait a couple of days before giving my final review. I'll save my final thoughts and what not for the review but would like to thank PP for the opportunity to run the stack and for all those that have followed along.

On a side note, got my CLA today. Not sure when I'm going to run it. I might start dosing it with the TRS stack to ward off any rebound gain coming off diet.
 
Just stopping in to say thanks for running a great log Chris and while I'm at it...I hope to get a rematch against you and take you down to get some dignity back after the beatdown you handed me in fantasy football. LOL. :D

Yes, if the season continues like it has, we should be meeting up in the playoffs. I can't believe my 2 biggest starts this year (besides Peyton) is Brandon Loyd and Austin Collie. Both have put awesome #'s. I got BL off waivers and Austin Collie was like a 9 or 10th round pick.
