Big Boys on quest for leanness phase 2

I don't have the starter pictures as I was too embarrassed. Cankels and fat calves are going away finally. Took some progress pictures at the gym today. Calves are shaping up well, not a single leg extension was done. Just Squats and Deadlifts EOD.

Now back to big boys gone wild!!

Nice job on everything. My best was 280 with 3 reps. Was a little sloppy but I go er done.

Awesome job on the pics.

Over all the Warrior dash was fun and challenging. I know I could have done better over all but we ran as a group and didn't want anyone to get hurt or trampled on. We ran in knee deep sludge mud and chest deep water then had the 13 obstacles to do. The hardest one for me was the 20 feet long cargo net you had to spiderman walk across using only your hands and feet. I thought my Hernia was going to explode. Wow I was plum wore out and then I had 4 others to hit before the finish line. There were people literally losing there shoes after the first 50 feet of the starting line. And they couldn't find them. It would have been way better had we been in the first 2 heats but no we started at 12 pm and it kicked off at 9am. Heats going every 30 minutes. Oh and having been in the water and mud you don't realize how much extra weight you are carrying. Especially when your pockets are full.

I ran the thing in a fasted state and started cramping in the calves just after the finish line. Finished up and at 2 bananas, a turkey leg, and chugged a miller lite and 2 gatorades. lol I was thirsty.

so they can be used for almost any situation?

Any situation you need carbs. They are the only carb I can eat when I start to get really strict on dieting as I don't eat brown rice (makes me bleed on the insides) and I am gluten intolerant.

It is all good, there are the orange ones but I really love the purple, a little less sweet. Just wrap then in tin foil and bake them till they're nice and soft or cut them up in thin slice and spice them up and cook them like you would roasted potatoes... man that is good!!

That is so awesome Jeff! Very very proud of you!

Thank you. Had to make the Skin Chub Club happy. LOL

Thanks Bro. And as for the sweet potatoes. If dont right they can be delishious. If under cooked they taste nasty. But like people have already said a healthy source of carbs.

Sweet potatoes taste amazing, and simply put the best complex carb source on the planet. I have one or two most days of the week

They are my only starch other than squash (in Australia it's called pumpkin ;)

Was a glorious day so I skipped the gym (just a planned cardio only night) came home and took the wee man out for a bike ride, I hit 35 minutes total (he hung for the first 15). Kept it tight today with a feed window from 11:30-7:30: 1975 cals, (92 carbs, 213 protein, 85 fats).

Look at some of the goodies daddy received. And more is on the way...

My god. Care to share? Lol.

Hey guys, I got a couple basic work outs in lately.

Sunday I did 1 hour 15 minutes of cardio for a 985 cal burn. All cardio.

Yesterday was a 75 minute lifting session.

Did
Bench Press - 6 sets
Tricep close grip pulldowns - 5 sets
pectoral flies immediately into machine bench - 6 sets
wide lat pull downs - 5 sets
tricep push downs - 5 sets

Then elliptical

Total Burn: 1265

I'll be righting my final review for the TESTOPRO, DAA, LCLT log soon. Next up is a 5aOHP and M1P run.

Ok guys, I seriously need some input here! Ever since I hit 400 for 2 dead lifting in January (1/25/12), my deads have freaking gone down HILL! I am beginning to suspect that I am overtraing. Tonight I could only pull 370 ONE Damn time, where as on 2/19/12 I hit 385 for 2. This is really pissing me off! My typical back day has the 3 sets of 5/3/1, then 5x10 at 60(+) Percent, then 3 sets of a pull down or assisted pull up, 2-3 sets of Snatch Grip deads and then 2 sets of a rowing movement. That is 15 sets focused on the rear chain every 6-7 days (does not include very light warm ups at 135/225 and does not factor in hammy work on squat day) Is that just too much, especially while on a cut?

Anyways, here goes tonights workout

Day2, week 2 (MC11)
5:05-6:05

Deads 285x3, 330x3, 370x ONE (see above)

Boring But Big deads (5x10@60%+10)=255 (Hit all 50 reps)

V Bar Pulldown@ 190x7/6, at 150x12 (focused on reps and form here)

Skipped the snatch grips because of the OT idea.

Underhand Low Pulley Row @220x10/8

Hanging Leg Raise 20/20/15

Broke fast at 12:00, shut it down at 8:30 as I did not get home till after 7:30.

2559 cals (214 carbs, 223 protein [plus 24g bcaa], 87 fats, approximate burn of 4200.

I am not sure it is over training. I noticed a drop in some weights as I have lost my fat along the way as well. I was always thinking it was because I was losing weight and not using it as leverage to get something up. And in doing so making my core stronger. I don't know though I would be interested in hearing others opinions.

Quiet burn day today: 2209 cals (71 carbs, 232 protein [+12g bcaa] 104 fats) with an estimated burn of 3700.

Morning Session

Talk about a rush. This morning was the first day of taking multiple products. 3 scoops of Alpha Rage, 2 scoops of BCAA Extended, 1 scoop of no2xl, and the multi- vitamins and man was it a rush. Within the first 20 minutes I was pumped up and ready to go. I like this feeling.....

Evening Session

Went in for round two. A quick work out nothing major. Only did what was available. Home gym type stuff with a cable machine. Took 3 more scoope of Alpha Rage and 2 more scoops of BCAA extended.

Chest Press

3 sets of 12 maxed machine out. Machine was not labeled so have no idea how much it was.

Cable Flys

3 sets of 12 half the stack.

Ez Bar Curls - Wide Grip

3 sets of 12 50 lbs

Ez Bar Curls - Narrow Grip

3 sets of ez bar curls narrow grip.

Concentration Curls

3 sets of 12 with 25 lb dumbbells.

Things will be back to normal on Friday. Once I get back in the gym. Thinking of using the Warrior workout for the next 90 days. Any ideas would be great. We want results. I can make it were we train one body part every day, or 3 days a week using the push, legs, then Pull method or full body workouts 3 days a week like I said using the Warrior workout. Cardio to be done on non workout days.

Yah I opted for 5 and 5 of warrior but in week 5 of phase 1 had to do a decomp cuz I did not do it after HST 5 weeks of phase 2 than it's a week off... day one of phase 2 I went like a bat out of hell...

Been dealing with some family issues, haven't hit the gym for 2 days. Ate horribly yesterday. Will get back on track soon.
