Big Boys on quest for leanness phase 2

Seems pretty obvious you are matching or exceeding ur fat lose with lean mass gains. Guess you gotta eat your own words and roll with it just like you told some one else we know( me). :-)

I truly believe when you diet you'll be hungry sometimes. The Omron is an interesting device I have one as well, the best time to use it is first thing in the morning after you pee as water amount in your system adds to the body fat. You might be even lower bodyfat.

Interesting. I know when I get tested I try to get it done in the morning fasted. Especially when doing the calipers. The only reason I did it again last night was it was about the same time and said WTF why not check lol. As far as being lower possible yes but not by much maybe 1% at best would be my guess.

My dad is in a nursing home as of yesterday and is madder then a hornets nest. He knows he belongs there but doesn't like the rules and wants me to bring him his car. He's mad at the world and me. I'm stressed to the max

Not knowing you fathers situation. I hope all gets better. And for as much as your probably stressed you need to do something to get away from the madness. Take a drive or hit the gym or the mountain, the beach what ever it is that allows you to calm down and release all that built up stress.

So here is a funny on my weight has gone up and down over the last month I was as low as 233 to as much as 239 when I did my re-feed a couple weeks ago. But check this out.

2/6/12
I used the Omron HBF-306f body fat scale at the gym. It was 6:30 in the evening I had two meals prior to hitting the gym, my scale weight at that moment was 237 lbs and measured 27.3% body fat

My weight is up I think because I have added more calories. I may even add more. I am currently bringing in 2400 on workout and 1800 on non workout days. Doing the IF diet. I am torn if I should change things up as far as going back to eating every 3 ish hours or not, never the less I am considering bumping my calories up to 2600-2800 on workout days and 2100-2300 on non. I am only thinking this do to my current size and almost feel like I have been in a starvation mode for a long while now. Any input is welcome. I will say this every since I came back up to the 2400/1800 I am not satisfied when finished eating. I am still hungry and have been ignoring the urge to want to eat more.

I would rather see you increase on wd's maybe 2700 and keep the 1800 on nwd's that's where the extra calories will do you the most good, I have mentioned this a couple times that I though your calories are a bit low. You need that big feed on this diet, gives you something to look forward to and keeps you going energy wise. Hek I bet you could take it to 3000 and 1800 and still do ok...

Yah as hard as it is, you will have to let him work that out... I can't imagine how hard it must be to have to let someone else run your life like you were a child when you have done it so long. Like losing control ... he's going through a lot of shyte... just be understanding and pray for patience...

You are right. That's another reason why I am making the change. It was only a mater of time I hit this rut.

X2.....I have to agree with DW here. Keep the Cal's higher on workout days, but do not add to non workout days. You always want to keep those low. I would stay at 1800 there and just make sure it stays higher on the workout days. Those non workout days is where you get your burning going and keeping them low coupled with cardio is key ;)

What if you out 7 days? Just two light days? Im still eating around 1800-2300 a day currently.

this was pretty much my calorie intake for about 16 weeks or so. I hit the rut and once I started eating a little more yes I gained in actual number but I lost in bodyfat percentage. Just an FYI.

Im on day 200 of it pretty much down to 22.4% body fat from a start out of over 33%. I do spike once a week of around 4k cals usually not lately though.

In that scenario I would probably opt for 4 lower days with about 3 higher days. That's actually what Ive been following for a good while now with great results. If your overall primary goal is bodyfat loss, you just want to make sure that you are in an overall caloric defecit firedevil the week. That's why you would want more days at the lower mark...

Under 2700 work says & under 2200 cardio days (although a bit lower of late) seems to be working well for me. However, I do believe I have a bit more muscle mass than Jeff or Bruce, judging by pics at least.

I think my muscle mass currently is around 180-185? If I remember right.

Do your daily burn estimates you do include your working out?

I am confused LOL... No body fat percent actual lean mass. My guess is if your 250's and you thinking high teen to low 20 in body fat you should have mid 190 lean mass.

Yah just muliply your body weight X fat percentage and subtract that from your total body weight and that's your lean mass.

My bad, miss read the question. Going w a conservative 21% (this mornings weight of 264*.21=55.44lbs fat leaving 209.56lbs of lean mass.

Yah were you to get really lean you will find that there is some water still in that 209 so don't get frustrated when that number goes down.

Straight up burn today. Had a drug rep come in, provided lunch, salad and some lean meat deli sandwiches so part of today's totals are guess work. 35 minutes of cardio after work, 245 cals. Estimated 2059 cals on the day, (121 carbs, 195 protein [+12g bcaa], 84 fats) with an estimated burn of 3685.

The only way I can get PR's is if I invent a new exercise :( there is no way I can do what I used to, I would simply fall apart....there's a problem with gravity too...

Ladies and Gents,

Some good things just happened today. I have signed on with MGN Muscle Gauge Nutrition. I see some bright things coming in the next few months. I will be logging products along side Cathie aka Chevy6s Chick as she has also signed on with them. So things are about to get hot in here. Yeee haaa

Congrats on new rep spot Chevy.

Weight loss wise I am down another 1.2 pounds since last update.

Thank you very much. It is no secret that you have been very supportive since day one when we entered the same transformation contest last year. As mentioned before you are an inspiration to many of us for many reasons. This should help us out a lot as they have primarily proteins with a few misc other items. Such as pre workout and bcaa, etc.. As of now there is no supps that will do what others have. Such as epi-v, 1-andro etc. This will allow us to make sure our diets are in check and be able to use some added items. When we need the pick me up. I will post a link of the combo log we will run.

Many thanks to everyone. Hope y'all join us both on the next step along our journey.

Doug just wanted to let you know. A co-worker was complaining about being over weight and was saying her was to old to go to a gym. Just making excuses. Well long story short. He has been motivatss because of what I have done so far and didn't believe he can do it as well. I showed him your pics and asked him how old do you think this man is. He said I dont know maybe 50. I chuckled and said you agr and he said no way. I said yup. You are 5 years his elder. Thought you might of wanted to hear this. You are such an inspiration to so many people. Thank you again.

That's so great to hear, I really want to be a good example as an athlete and a person. What God put us here for....

Ok guys there was a bit of a misunderstanding, we thought that it had shipped but the bottles that cam in were earmarked for some other purpose. The Pro Xanthine came in today and should go out soon. Al says he's staring at the product now. :)

As of yesterday no. I have not recieved it. If it hasn't shipped no biggie. It is the thought that counts.

I haven't received it either, but no hurry.... I did however win a contest that had this in it..
